Giveme sport have published a list of 38 clubs that could be owed money by Man City.
Wolves could be owed £20,492,042 - so nearly 20.5 million.

I know rated but they're gonna get off with some stuff cus that's the way it works & it boils my blood to think when MM sent a weakened side to old trafford & we were punished instantly. I know this is on a much bigger scale but i still think some of these charges will be dropped.

Citeh former manager Mancini has just admitted that he had an undeclared 'double contract'. One here and the second one offshore. So, fraud? He was paid twice. He says he has done nothing wrong and the problem is nothing to do with him, it is the club's problem.

30 Sep 2026 08:29:57
Any rationale as to how that was calculated?
Seems v exact and to be honest low?

30 Sep 2026 12:21:11
20.5 Million, nice. There has to be some teenage breaking into Benfica B team we can spend that on!

No idea futureisgold mate still digging into it all myself, not sure if any of the EDs can shed any light on it?

Just a thought tfiog if City have been falsifying their accounts, a) Won't Companies House be interested? b) If they have conspired to deceive isn't that much worse in the eyes of the law?

30 Sep 2026 21:14:21
Long - clearly the ramifications are extremely difficult to predict/understand.
I can't disagree however with the underlying thread, as elucidated by many posters on here, of just how unjust and serious this whole matter is.
Maybe HMRC might be interested as well??
As stated though the punishment for Chelsea, ( who were also guilty of very serious matters but who seemingly cooperated with the authorities and thus received a punishment that was almost insignificant and an insult to the other clubs who did not cheat), does not give me any confidence that City will ever receive a punishment that is even vaguely in line with the seriousness of the offences they have been found guilty of committing.

Sorry but at every step the Prem has been found woefully inadequate when it came to, as Ron Moore described, of running a fair, open and honest competition for the "smaller" teams in the league.
Why should they suddenly grow a pair and take on the global super power that is City.

02 Oct 2026 15:46:43
Apart from HMRC problems the question must surely be asked, do the current owners pass the 'fit and proper' test which the answer must be no as they have committed fraud. as far as being directors of a company they would, or should be, disqualified. If they were found to be not 'fit and proper' persons to own the club.

what then? sell the club? Maybe if they were relegated to League 2 then they might be affordable to multi millionaire somewhere. Would the EFL accept them as proven cheats and massive advantage over the other clubs in each division as they pass through. They have really created an impossible situation!

Wolves are reportedly interested in bringing in Max Dowman on loan from Arsenal, in January.

2

24 Sep 2026 08:28:35
Along with many others.

2

24 Sep 2026 11:03:09
OK guys, who makes way for 16-year old Max Dowman and others?
Cesar is getting a tune out of our existing squad and we are clearly improving match by match. Win our game in hand and we will be joint top. Not too shabby!

1

24 Sep 2026 12:12:04
Every time I have seen Max play he looks absolutely class. Mature beyond his years. I would welcome this. Not sure if his age would mean we wouldn't have to lose anyone but as I type that Neave is in the same boat age wise and I guess someone would have to make way.

I'm sure a couple may want to get out in Jan if they haven't had much minutes like Bouba for example.

2

24 Sep 2026 14:07:21
Best to have a contingency in place for a long term injury not just players leaving, still 16 matches to the turn around let alone 39 until may.

1

25 Sep 2026 05:35:40
I believe you would need to lose someone as under 21 loans are not viewed the same as under 21 permanent players.
Given it would be a mere half season loan with obviously no chance of buying him, unless he was so good that he dramatically altered the likely outcome of the season, I am not sure it would be worth having to lose a squad player - unless perhaps they could be sent on loan somewhere else - to merely develop a player for another side.

Hence the Neave deal is also a little weird. He is unlikely to play much - as a back up to Raul - so doing little for Wolves but takes a place in the squad.
Newcastle however gets to park him here saving money and see him hopefully develop at Wolves expense?

25 Sep 2026 11:19:38
There's no way we would get a shot at Max Dowman unless we could offer him guaranteed first team minutes. When we signed Jota in the championship in 2017/18 he came in for some rough treatment from opponents. Not sure if we are a good fit for Dowman as we are improving match by match. Can't do anything until January anyway.

06 Oct 2026 20:57:44
If we are looking for a wide player in January, then a loan deal for Ben Gannon-Doak from Bournemouth would be a brilliant deal for all parties. As a Scot, Inwant to see him getting more game time, which doesn’t appear to be forthcoming at his present club.

22 Sep 2026 18:33:43
Ran wouldn't drop from top of prem to championship i dont think and wages are sky high now. as for the striker department i agree should of signed the lad who went for 4mil top scorer in league 1 last year cant remember his name now off the top of my head.

1

22 Sep 2026 19:07:52
Ballard? Lankshear would have been a good signing too, missed out on him and duberry who are both balling at boro.

3

22 Sep 2026 20:31:19
Thats 2 of em they would of been awsome.

1

23 Sep 2026 11:19:41
Some of us have good ideas about who we should have signed this summer. OK, fair enough, but please let us know who we should have let go to make room?

Currently we are three points off top with a game in hand, so we are not doing badly with the existing squad, which is clearly improving match by match. To outclass a decent West Brom team says it all.

5

23 Sep 2026 13:49:44
I totally agree wer doing well definitely but to win the league i think we could of done with another proven goalscorer if im honest.

2

24 Sep 2026 18:55:46
It's all about creating a squad that not only goes up but stays up.
You do that by signing excellent young players and having experience along the spine like Sa, Krejci, Andre and Raul.
I think the squad if they are consistent could push play offs.
But it is all about consistency.
Albion are a mid table to bottom half championship team so let's not lose our heads.

We still lack pace at RCB, LCB, a box to box midfielder and two wingers that are technically good and we quick.
Yes I am happy to see Gomes and Mane develop but would they be good enough for Prem hopefully. But probably not that's how tough the prem is.

0

25 Sep 2026 22:23:38
I always wonder what a box to box midfielder would look like, maybe like Andre? Or at a push munetsi? Both do work in both boxes.

0

26 Sep 2026 08:11:52
l just cant see why Munstsi starts instead on James all he does is run
we need another out and out goal scorer.

0

21 Sep 2026 21:57:10
Certainly need another central striker in January ! Maybe a six- month loan for RAN., now he's literally no.3 left-back at Citeh ? Wolves Aye We.

3

21 Sep 2026 22:07:28
Which one of Hugo Bueno or Konan makes way for AIT?

3

21 Sep 2026 22:59:36
Agree re central striker - but maybe Neave is that player already? However he is only on loan and will be gone next summer so maybe if Wolves are looking at building for next season other options do need to be examined.
But as with LB a player would have to go out if another striker is signed.
Perhaps though if Wolves signed a real option as a challenger to Raul for this year and his replacement if Wolves go up next year then Neave would have to be the one "lost"!
Re RAN if he could be obtained especially with an option to buy for a fee that wasn't insane if Wolves are promoted it would be a massive coup.

I imagine it would have to be Konan as Bueno is HG and the club is short on them.
Both would be financially easy to lose though as neither are in the books for very much - Konan is in at zero!
However if it is only a loan for the 2nd half of the season then unless Wolves were pushing hard for promotion I'm not sure there would be much point in for any party (Wolves, City or RAN), him playing for a mid table Champ side.

5

22 Sep 2026 18:28:37
Why is everyone obsessed with RAN coming back.never going to happen. get over it already.. and we shudve signed a decent fwd aswell as Raul..you need 2 real goalscorers in this league.i fear we dont have the firepower.

22 Sep 2026 22:20:54
It's crazy how people are now screaming for more offense when 2-3 weeks ago most everyone thought we had plenty as we were scoring so many and most people all just wanted a new rb & cb to sort the defense. I guess that typical of all the half-empty glass pessimists in this forum. they're never happy whether we win 4-3 or win 1-0.

5

23 Sep 2026 19:26:22
Some Wolves fans come out with some crazy shouts. In what world would Ait Nouri step down to The Championship 😂.

21 Sep 2026 10:15:46
Did we insert a sell on clause when we sold MGW to Forest? BBC ‘gossip' is reporting that Spurs are planning to offer £125 million for him in January.
Knowing how incompetent our club is when it comes to transfer dealing, I'm guessing not, but hopefully someone can prove me wrong?

2

21 Sep 2026 15:31:44
Yes mate 10%.

3

21 Sep 2026 15:46:52
Wolves hold 10% in the profit range. If Forest make £70 million profit, Wolves make £7 million.

Selling MGW to Nottingham Forest was a catastrophic mess up. Jeff Shi and that other idiot Scott Sellars. Made even worse (I think) by Wolves using the money to buy Gonçalo Guedes.

Did Wolves learn? No. Adam Scott will leave Bournemouth for about £100 million, and Wolves pulled the plug on the deal because of Lopper-tay-gee.

3

21 Sep 2026 16:58:24
MGW wanted out of Wolves. The £45mil fee was considered good. Obviously he has improved at Forest, but he also pressured for a move from there, just as he did with us. Basically he wants to move to a 'big' club. We were never going to build a team round him, and neither will Forest.

7

22 Sep 2026 13:50:53
I was happy to see the back of MGW - never performed for us and was always whinging. £45 mil was a great deal at the time.

3

20 Sep 2026 22:55:14
Convincing win, could have been more. Lopez is a gem and if he keeps his form going I can see several clubs knocking on the door in January seeking his signature. That would leave Fosun with a dilemma.

4

22 Sep 2026 11:45:59
No it won't be a delema for them with there track record it would send supporters crazy 🤞🏽.

17 Sep 2026 13:26:48
I wrote this in a post a few weeks ago but it looks even more pertinent now.
Whilst the 2, 35 year old players signed were/maybe still are too good for this league it was crazy to think they will be up to playing week in week out over a long season.

Whilst I don't rate Jackson at all he is at least a warm body who can cover Trippier as can Yerson - when fit! However at number 9 Wolves are either relying on the very young and inexperienced.

Neave or Armstrong who clearly can't play a traditional 9 role and has proven this regularly in his time at Wolves. By the way I think Armstrong is a perfectly good champ player but as a 10 off a 9! This was a major mistake!

As I posted earlier surely it would have been far more sensible to have signed the HG boy Lankshear from Spurs - signed for Boro for £10m, (with add ons of up to another £10m but which you will be delighted to pay as it means he been a success), rather than Said, (where Wolves had other options even before signing Bertrand), even before his injury!

If game time was the issue and with Raul already signed it might have been surely he could have been persuaded that Raul was not going to play week in week out or probably next season barely at all and that he was in the short term at least a great mentor to learn from.

Another bad mistake from the recruitment team that may prove to be, depending how long it is before Raul is up to full speed, very very costly and certainly far more than the few pence extra signing Lankshear would have cost!

7

17 Sep 2026 14:30:39
Tfig3, totally agree, but Wolves wont spend the money, and when they do its normally the wrong choice. Now Wolves have Armstrong and the young lad from Newcastle Neave, personally i would play Neave against WB. He is more of a natural striker than Armstrong and his showing last night seemed very positive.

Fosun are open to selling Wolves to the right buyer - rumour so take with a very large pinch of salt.

1

10 Sep 2026 19:42:49
Rated, that was on a report by Kieran, forgot last name. If Wolves are back in the PL, they could sell. If back in the PL, Fuson are looking at 450 mill to 500 mill to sell, but at that price who's going to buy.

Molenuex needs a lot of work or rebuilt, which takes money, and 150mill to 200mill on transfers in. And, that's just staying in the PL. Look at Ipswich, Hull and Coventry, how much have they spent.

4

10 Sep 2026 21:30:39
If Wolves go up, it might, with a very strong following wind, get someone to pay close to that - although I would assume that would have to include the re-payment of the inter-company debt, i.e. Fosun get circa £250m for the equity and their debt repaid - but this would be an astonishing sale cf the values of other Premier League clubs.
Under any normal valuation methodology, of course, Wolves are worth nothing like those figures, but football is weird and, of course, as I have discussed previously, the accounts may not tell a true picture of the returns the owners have been making from Wolves.

However, if Wolves don't go up, then all bets are off, and Wolves' valuation will plummet, and I doubt they will get anything for the equity and may have to take pennies in the pound on their debt to get out.
This, as discussed before, is therefore a one season window to retain respectability.
However, as explained by Acle in a post earlier on today, the club was - despite statements to the contrary by Mr Shi, who either is incompetent or was simply not telling the truth - in no position to do much more about it than it did this summer.

10 Sep 2026 23:38:06
Thanks Dmac and Future, I saw it on X, hence the take with a large pinch of salt part.

12 Sep 2026 00:40:50
This manager will absolutely not take Wolves up. He plays with a 2 man midfield, & doesn't seem to understand that one of our full backs is the worst full back I've seen in Gold and Black for over 59 years.

He's clueless about what to do when West Ham & Blues come at us. For me, Munetsi & Andre are not working. Jo James has to start, & keep that full back & Doyle away from the first team.

5

12 Sep 2026 14:05:21
Lex, what are you on about, two-man midfield? Also, we've had only 5 games this season, and have looked decent, playing attacking football, so surely too early to judge if he's a good or bad manager, and if we're gonna lose, at least it's entertaining.

5

12 Sep 2026 15:09:53
Two-man midfield - Munetsi and Andre. It ain't working. James has to come in for Munetsi. What's the point in having one of our best players on the bench?

5

12 Sep 2026 17:13:56
Munetsi will always split fans. He isn't an amazing technical midfielder, but he could be like N'Diaye that got us promoted in 2018. He works hard, covers ground, and chips in with a few goals; that's his role. Traore, the cm, is also similar in that, if fit, he can be useful.

JJ doesn't start one, as I don't think he is 100% fit right now. He will be eased back. But also, the midfield have completely lost focus at 60 minutes in most games this season, so JJ is needed.

3

12 Sep 2026 17:30:38
I quite often see people type Fuson instead of Foson, and I don't know whether I'm missing a joke lol.

2

12 Sep 2026 18:17:25
Sounds great in theory, but the mitigating factors are: N'Diaye could pass a ball, Munetsi can't pass a ball. He was abject against Blues.

2

13 Sep 2026 15:35:49
Yes, it's Fosun.
And, it's Molineux.

Otherwise, that was a difficult watch. I haven't screamed so hard for a goal in a long time, but it doesn't paper over the cracks.

Fosun out.
Fuson out.
Foson out.

3

10 Sep 2026 09:50:53
Sant Bueno is off to Club America on season-long loa with option to buy for 10 mill euros.

4

11 Sep 2026 21:24:34
Apparently, the option to buy is for £6m. That's shockingly poor business even by Fosun standards. It's not that I even especially rated Bueno. It's more that we signed him for £10m, and he's now spent three seasons in the Prem, with a total of 70 apps in said league, and has somehow dropped in price by almost half.

We really are such a poorly run club in terms of transfers. How many other clubs have players which go down in value despite increased Prem experience?! Pathetic. 🤬

3

12 Sep 2026 10:38:02
BB first of course I have to agree with you that Wolves transfer business - with the exception of the Lop window - has been pretty poor since Seville.
Secondly even though Bueno was the tallest dwarf last year and somehow not only played regularly - making a substantial proportion of those 70 appearances - but even won the POTS award he is simply not good enough to play in the Prem or even the top end of the Championship other than in a highly structured system that mitigates his lack of pace and power.
Thirdly the transfer fees and wages outside of the Prem are a fraction of those paid in the Prem - of the top 20 fee payers in Europe this summer 14 were Prem teams - and Wolves sadly took that to extremes and hugely over paid in both wages and fee for Buneo, (and sadly since Seville numerous others!!).

Consequently it is no surprise that Wolves are struggling to find anyone willing to pay anything like the amount they paid. As Wolves have done with numerous players this summer.
It is also no surprise that the players, who even after relegation clauses are still on far more than they should be/would be in any other league, are not keen to take transfers.
It is a total mess but numerous years of poor dealings where never going to be resolved in one window and Wolves will be paying the price for this incompetence for several years to come.
Sadly if Wolves are not promoted this year that price may be high!

6

09 Sep 2026 03:04:16
Santi Bueno has not been included in the 25 squad members.
It is expected he'll move somewhere where the transfer window is still open.

2

09 Sep 2026 08:24:02
Let us hope he finds a club who think he is as good as he thinks he is.

7

09 Sep 2026 15:33:00
Yep, his attitude has backfired on him.

2

10 Sep 2026 06:22:34
Just a shame the Owners and manager couldn't persuade him to
stay.
