Illan Messlier is a free agent now and Arsenal and Man Utd are reportedly interested in signing him as a backup. Might jeopardize the Johnstone sale as well as blocking us from signing Radek Vitek.
Messlier is a good Championship keeper and I think a really good option for a free agent signing.

Gelhardt scored 15 goals on loan for Hull last season, and he's due a contractual wage increase in his Leeds contract. Unlikely that Hull could afford to keep him, as he is already on big wages. Ok, he could be ace in the Championship, but it's an odd sort of rumour due to his wages.

So this guy moved from Rio Ave to Olympiakos for £6m in January 2026, played 8 games, scored no goals and no assists, and his value shoots up to £16m.

There was mention that Evangelos Marinakis sold him from one of his clubs (Rio Ave) to another (Olympiakos) for an inflated price, so that some other mug will pay big bucks for a player who, let's be honest, hasn't really set the world on fire.



Let Marinakis and Mendes cosy up in bed together, and let us buy players that have a proven track record rather than some potential from the Mendes stable.

Sources from Spain suggest Wolves were looking to sign Alex Calatrava from Castellon, who had an impressive season in La Liga 2, scoring 14 goals and had 8 assists, and is a versatile attacker, playing as a striker as well as a rw/cam.

Cesar Poixito is also interested in him. But the deal did not go through and Espanyol signed him for just 5 million. Shows a clear lack of ambition from Wolves.

We should have cut all ties with Mendes last year. He contributed big time to our dismal season, and undermines many teams that used to use his services. He sold us more duds than good uns - Nuno, Neves excluded.

Good, let Mendes sell his dross to Nuno. Wolves *did* once benefit from *some* of his talented players, but Wolves were sold a lot of players that were not capable of the riggers of PL football.

I always cynically thought that the better ones were in the shop window (Jota, Neves, Neto). He's done the same to other clubs too (Joao Felix is a great example). Just a thought of mine.

We're on the same thread of thoughts, Fordhouses. He ruined Valencia. Fosun own 20% of Gestifute, so you would think it's in his interest for Wolves to do well and create his 'shop window'. Something is out of kilter, or are Nuno's needs greater than ours! The snake has definitely lost interest in us, but the manager is one of his 'flock', so can anybody explain what is going on.

Pant wetters, well and truly out. If you honestly believe Mendes is "looking after Nuno" ahead of Wolves, then give your head a wobble. Pretty sure the West Ham owners will have something to say about who they want to sign.

Nuno is just Mendes' client. Fosun actually have shares in Mendes' agency. I highly doubt anyone going to West Ham isn't even being considered by Wolves.
