Afternoon all, some of the posts on here are nothing short of embarrassing. Certain so called fans calling for Nunos head at half time and then saying at full time how were slowly edging towards the top 4! Fickle doesn't even begin to describe some of you, I've been following Wolves since I could talk and as far as I know football has always been played over 90 minutes, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Today was never about a meaningless 3 points as so many of you portrayed it to be, there are no meaningless points in this league. Anyone who on Thursday accused Nuno of disrespecting the fans or not not having the passion any more, watch the end of today's match again when he embraced one of his staff. It wasn't just a hug to celebrate a win, it was a heartfelt, passionate, display of absolute relief from a man who has shown nothing but love for this club since the day arrived. Cut the guy some slack, some of us still trust in Nuno.

He was relieved Jacko because his own actions turned an arbitrary match into a must win event! And personally I didn't 'accuse' anyone for me it was more just a statement of fact that the team put out on Thurs was an insulting to the fans. Don't believe me try asking ANY neutral or even try opening a newspaper and see if you can find a single write up that doesn't query why a team in our position wouldn't pick a stronger team?! Tell me this Jacko how would you have felt if you'd bought a ticket and done a 3 hour round trip to go to the match on Thurs?
Anyway I'm bored of talking about it now, good result today and we move on. Oh and for the record my opinion is just my opinion if you think it's embarrassing then no problem, don't read it buddy 👍.

Careful Bullys mate you'll be called fickle for having a view.

Jackowolf Thursday nights team was a big disappointment to us. As you will know from posts on here, and, I would imagine experience of the FA cup being everything we dream of as kids and its sense of occasion all around the world. We were in a fantastic position to progress and nuno did throw in the towel somewhat. It hurt, we lost, he got the blame. The poor blokes been in an awful position, but is decent and it was a misplaced judgement which will be forgiven. Todays game was all important to me, for as you say all 3 points matter, if we hadn't got them today we'd be looking over our shoulders, but we won and I saw that embrace, I've already said the relief on nunos face was palpable. Neto may have saved the club today. Who would have wanted Nuno to go? That question as been asked on here and I think quite resoundedly answered. No one gets it right all the time, and as nuno says we look for solutions, a lot of people were asking questions Thursday, and at half time today entitled to their opinions. If we all agreed we'd learn nothing maybe today a few answers emerged, but I for one have every trust in nuno, but recognise he is not infallible and was angry the another night. Today I'm happy again. I support wolves and always will and want to win what opportunity we get, Thursday nuno minimised that desire. Understand the true fans emotions.

Rated look up fickle in the dictionary, having a view that changes when it's suits the audience is fickle. Thanks for entertaining me for a few hours but there's no point debating with someone who can't see the irony of their own posts.

Point is Jacko whilst I admire you being happy FA cup was our only way into Europe this season, if we'd lost today and make no doubt about it a better team would have buried us first half Nuno would possibly be gone tomorrow, thankfully we turned it around today but we need to play like we did in second half for the whole 90 minutes not just 45 minutes.
If you're happy with us being poor for 45 minutes then fine that's your choice but do not call me fickle I have backed Nuno all the way until Thursday and if you read posts you'd see my pop at Nuno was more out of anger, if anything you're the one being fickle.
Let's move on from it end of the day we all want the same thing and that's success.

Obviously frustration and disappointment are understandable tonight but let's try and keep things in perspective. If someone had told us 3 seasons ago when Nuno came in that we would win the Championship, follow it up with 2 top 7 finishes, an FA cup semi final and a Europa Cup quarter final we all would of ripped their hand off. Things may seem bad at the moment but as Wolves fans we know the grass definitely isn't greener. The league is all over the place this season and in honesty we've been spoilt for 2 seasons. Yes there's been some strange transfer decisions and Mendes does seem to have been milking the cow but ultimately Fosun oversee the coffers. I'm in the minority here because I'd be gutted to see Nuno go, not posted before so I'm not here for abuse but I've seen many shades of grass over the years and ripping the lawn up and starting again rarely works.

Jack - v good post and completely true. I am still a big fan of Nuno and worry not if he will be sacked but if he will walk away from the mess that the club suddenly appears to be in. Last August we were perhaps a couple of pieces way from being 1) optimistically a champions league team 2) realistically challengers for Europa league football.
However a catastrophic transfer window, a few, but major, injuries and everything falls apart to the extent that we now look like one of the weakest teams in the league - thank goodness for our 17 point start on the bottom 3!
ps welcome and I hope you post regularly!

Wise comments Jacko, iv been here since the mid 70's these are golden days no doubt about it.
Im sorry to say Nuno 100% to blame tonight shocking decision to throw away the cup.
But anyone shouting for Nuno's head needs to give their heads a wobble, best managerial stats for decades and this with a struggling Wolves championship side not a dominant premier one.

Crap season to date, not the only team feeling this, not the only team missing the fans, but because of the culture Nuno has created our players are missing it more than most teams.

Cant wait for this season to end and a "normal" season with fans to begin, the future is bright the future is old gold.

Some great posts above guys.
For me personally it would be sickening to see Nuno go. He's done so much for the club, fans and the city. There is something wrong though. He's not the same manager. Probably a combination of things but for me it all stems back to last season after the re-start. Other than the Everton game, we were poor, even in the games we won. Nuno wanted to rebuild. Change style. Recruit players that could get us in the top 6 and more.
That recruitment never materialised. At least not to how Nuno had envisaged.
We are now playing relegation football and praying that the bottom 3 remain the bottom 3. A closer look at what we do, or more precisely, what we don't do on the pitch, is very worrying. Distribution from defence is awful. Pressing in ones and twos. Pointless. Inability to move up the pitch as a team. Pace, and I'm not talking about Traore or Netto belting down the wing, throughout the team is just not there. Fitness levels don't seem to match those of other teams. Throw ins, corners, free kicks all look unrehearsed, lacking in imagination. Our attacking play, again, off the cuff, hit and hope, lacking method. All of this has everything to do with what's happening on the training pitch and nothing to do with the quality of the players. Teams with lesser quality, are doing these things so much better. Even in the championship. It simply can't carry on like this.
Last night was awful, but really, playing like we are, was getting to a cup final ever realistic. We were very lucky to get past Chorley.
Despite what many on here think, we are not clear of relegation. Teams below us will not give up the fight and at the moment we're the worst of that bunch. Ok, with a couple more wins we should be safe, but you have to score goals to win matches. It's not about doom and gloom, it's about being realistic.
I personally think Nuno has already made up his mind and will be back home next season. In the meantime I'm sure he'll do all he can to ensure premier survival. And that is paramount.

lord Thor - "the future is old gold"! Yes! (Well fingers crossed we get to the summer in one piece and then put right the mistakes made.
With Jimenez and Otto back we will be a lot stronger but sadly everyone else will have 2 years of progress whilst we have stood still/ gone backwards. Do we have the money/ freedom under FFP to cover the gaping wounds primarily in AM. )

Think at this stage it's safe to say there is nothing doing today. Few fringe players gone and Miranda contract terminated but probably not worth staying up until 11pm.

1.) 01 Feb 2021 17:06:37
See wba have got AMN. we must be doing something wrong?

2.) 01 Feb 2021 17:10:14
Fringe players? Ones for the future who spend years in the academy and never progress to first team level.

3.) 01 Feb 2021 17:16:25
No nothing on it seems. This worries me, Nuno wants us to get identity back but its the adventure we lack, we are reluctant to get forward and with moutininho we go nowhere. Get the lads up front get the balls forward and give it a go. Side to side and back, side to side and hope, let's get our identity back and take games to the opposition. Be the wolves of old and dare to chance.

4.) 01 Feb 2021 17:19:31
AMN can play midfield aswell. would have been ideal.

5.) 01 Feb 2021 17:35:55
Under 23 players not fringe players then Ron? Because looking at the bench this season it's being kept warm by under 23s as we have no depth in squad whatsoever.

6.) 01 Feb 2021 17:53:29
You having me on Nuno, big Sam got AMN.

7.) 01 Feb 2021 18:00:48
Apparently big Sam told AMN we going down and wba staying up, 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

8.) 01 Feb 2021 18:58:27
🤔🙈🧐🐵 hols that thought.

9.) 01 Feb 2021 20:11:06
So why would ANM make any difference to what we have? I think it's time to stick together and look forward to our season turning round, because it will, stop looking over the fence at other clubs and who they buy, it means nothing, on their day our squad can go toe to toe with the best and they will again, let's get behind them and try and be positive.
I do t like losing the sane as any of us in here, but after the last 3 seasons we knew we would have a bad patch, and were in it, look at Spurs 2 signs in last 9 .
As someone pointed out on here, without the fans its alway going to be tough, we can clearly see that since the restart we have not been great, us fans are hugely important to the the team and Nuno.

I was expecting a better response than that, keyboard or no keyboard I'd tell you the same. Don't forget to place that cheeky 5000-1 shot before Friday.

Sevlow agree completely, some folks will never be happy. We could win the league, champions league, EuroVision and The Great British Bake Off and someone would still criticise the scones. E from Wombourn your biggest concern at half time was what has Adama done with his hair? Just saying.

Rated, your opinions and evaluations change like the wind. Your supportive of Nuno? Who needs enemies? Secondly you've done nothing but criticise everyone at the club since Thursday from Nuno to the poor tea lady yet you put a 3000-1 bet on today for us to trounce Southampton 5-2,fools and their money.

Rated, the difference between your half time and full time posts is embarrassing, you wanted Nuno out at half time and now your putting us in the Champions League. Wolves fans have to be the most fickle in the league, I dread reading some of the nonsense on here. In Nuno I continue to trust!
