A bit of media recycling going on I reckon noncomposmentis, JL didn't talk to press after Wednesday game apparently and hasn't arranged to talk after rennes. So the reporters without a comment still have to fill their columns. At least I hope that's what it is. Things could change very quickly after Shi's letter yesterday in many ways be it players out, players in or whatever. I'll wait and see.

Likely the fact that they knew they were going to have to tighten purse strings back in 2021 but when Lopetegui joined was certainly not told this and so was essentially employed based on a lie as he thought he'd have money to spend to strengthen hence bids for Scott etc, but now him and matt hobbs know they have no money to work with having sold players for good prices thinking they'd have all or most of that money to reinvest. Wouldn't be at all surprising if he is reconsidering his position again as it's worse than he believed after he'd agreed to stay on.

I wouldn't have thought so NonComposMentis especially as Fosun bought him players in the Winter even though we were being backed into a corner thanks to ffp even then.

Everyone and his dog knew who would be leaving this summer so he would have known that. Ideally, yes, he would have liked to have had direct replacements but there's little point overspending now only to walk into trouble at the end of this season.

I still think, however, we'll see one, maybe two more signings (hopefully one being a goalscorer).

I personally think JL knew about the constraints from the start but wisely used it to get rid of the dead wood without looking the bad guy.

I’m hoping so anyway! Would like to see him stay and work another miracle.

Manager will be gone in a day or 2 .were not going to bring in any players.i don't blame him leaving he's a great manager but to be treated like this so fosun can sell to fill their pockets up.this so called ffp over us is a cover up.do u see any other team at present with ffp over there heads answer is no .their laughing their spending millions all we can afford is a new Wolfy bet that's on add one appearances etc

He is a coach, he has plenty of players and while yes we need more quality I would not put the club at risk ever again.
If it’s the rules it’s the rules!
The person to blame is Scott Sellars who recklessly spent silly money on players were not suitable.

I think you are spot on there Goggs. It defies belief that a manager of J-Lo's calibre and experience wouldn't have asked 'What's my budget in January?' and "what's my budget next summer?"
We spent big in January (thankfully), now we have to reign it in a bit.

They spent big in January and would have known they would be in breach of FFP rules….but it kept us up which was the priority
Fosun have made no money from Wolves yet and have backed every manager
The manager must have known the position and I think he will stay for one more season at least
The team needs strengthening but it is good enough to to get relegated as it stands
Surely a coach of his calibre can use the squad he has

? JL is happy at wolves of course he would like money to spend what manager wouldn't but he knows the FFP concerns as he was told at the end of last season so if he was going to walk he would of done it then
