I read of interest Jack Clarke from Sunderland was mentioned. Being a Wolves supporter from North East I watch a lot of Sunderland matches and although impressive against run of the mill Championship Teams he had an absolute "mare" against the Toon last weekend (that's why he's where he is)

I thought the same. He is not ready yet in my opinion for the step up and very light weight. He may come good but would prefer to have a more ready made player with prem experience.

If Fabio Silva couldn't hack it with Wolves, I don't think Jack Clarke will either. Silva had 45 minutes in a friendly in Spain for Rangers against relegated Hertha Berlin. Consensus was that he was too easily outmuscled playing as a striker.

Financial Fair Play.
Wouldn't it be worth breaching FFP rules and accept a fine (seems £10 mill is largest ever to Juve) rather than relegation? Don't know the absolute in and outs of the rules so someone may be able to enlighten me?

{Ed001's Note - you would not be fined by UEFA or dealt with by their rules unless you qualify for European football. It is the Premier League's FFP you are struggling with and that is different.}

Looks likely lopetegu going before first game, if we believe all the vibes, it's not looking very promising, tbh, worrying times already, fingers crossed he stays.
Coyw,

If we go with the other media 'vibes' we about to sign players, we're also told we can't sign players because they don't know if JLs staying and don't want to in case greyleg. It's a toss up as to what's what. I'm just looking forward to tomorrow's game.

You can trace every vibe back to one source, the mirror, they itemise the players we've 'lost', well we knew they were going bar Collins. We've got a good squad, a manager (fingers crossed) that many envy. So were not likely to be challengers for the title but I reckon we'll be a surprise package. Scoring goals may well be facilitated by sasa and fabio. Let's be optimistic for a while we havnt kicked off yet, think ourselves lucky not to be playing in the championship and get behind the lads. Ignore the stir mongers in the press, if we'd believed their other reports we'd have spent a fortune and be loaded with players.

Hi Abbeywolf. You are right, it's the Mirror, who own The daily scar and Birmingham live, then the daily fail picked up the story and the original rumour was based on the interview of 25th July during the training camp.

That looks to have been pounced on by Gobbyvilla who spoke with Football insider (that's a laugh) and every single story has been almost verbatim based on that. Now someone called football Espana has got the story as one of their internet headlines but again it's word for word.

It seems the only reliable reporters are Romano or the Telegraph fella, nothing from either. One rumour from a paid mouthpiece has started all this. What surprises me is how many people, knowing how unreliable the press is, have assumed it's fact. The UK print media, including online 'influencers' are now one of the most untrustworthy sources of news on the planet. I recall seeing a figure of around 32% of people only, believe anything they say.

One of the worst aspects of football today is that 'pundits' (ex players given cash to say their opinions) seem to influence ordinary supporters to an unbelievable extent. Anyway, hopefully, unless the Mol is turned into a giant car park by tomorrow, there's a match on which will be a really good test. I think people should maybe 'hold their nerve' rather than listen to ex villa players among others.

What a difference a day makes, we are veering from selling all our players inc neto and nunes lopetigeu leaving in the next few days and then on the other hand we are in for Alex scott plus others, my nut is spinning can anyone shed any genuine light on what is going on?

Yes. Don't read the news.
Just wait for the official announcements
