I can't understand all this berating of the clubs hierarchy and the fact that no players haven't been signed. These things take time. Other than Liverpool, no one has signed anyone yet. Man City, Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea, all supposedly bigger than us, are still to buy a single player even though just like us they are linked to many. Selling clubs need to purchase replacements beforehand. Put it this way, this window Neves, Jimenez and Traore have all been linked with moves so how would you feel if we sold all 3 for let's say £150m but then didn't have replacements already at the club ready to play the next match? Transfers are never as clear cut.

I'm with Jas on this debate through my faith with our club can't do no wrong and all outcomes are covered so that we carry on progressing to getting better. But I see clearly what Paul and SQ are saying. Time will tell at the end of the season the effects of this January transfer window.
BTW I don't think Wycombe will get promotion from league 1.lol

The moaners are out in force! Relegation fight? How utterly and completely ridiculous, unless coming from a Baggie.

We're seventh in the PL, on 30 points, it would be be virtually impossible to get relegated. We're also in Europe.

Some of you lot would still moan if we were in the top four.

Reading through this why am I not surprised at what i'm seeing? Same culprits every season.
However I agree with PT we are wafer thin on quality but Jas is correct transfers take time, it is only the 10th January still 3 weeks left yet if no one is in by 25th then maybe questions need to be asked.
But i'm confident in Nuno and Fosun getting the right players in.
As for SQ well don't give up your day job mate you'd fail as a comedian.

PT, it's very rare that 2 clubs agree that a transfer will happen on the 1st day of a transfer window when a fee is involved. Minamino to Liverpool is one of a very few I can think off. Pre contracts are different. Unless you can list some moves that happened on the 1st day which involved a fee and no replacement being bought by the selling club.

What I’m sayin Jas is, budgets should be known well before the transfer window opens, players and positions should of been categorised way before the window is open, and players approached as to a willingness to move here. It’s not rocket science, we’ve a wafer thin squad of quality and need reinforcements. It’s jan 10th and all that’s been said is Gibbs White is available! And he’s another who’s not good enough if u want to make top 6 or top 4.

I agree with you Paul and I honestly believe that Nuno and the hierarchy have identified the players that they want. The issue is that although we want them and the selling team are prepared to let them go, they won't until they've found suitable replacements. Frustrating I know but that's the way it is.

I lost my login some time ago so haven't posted in a good while (and also needed to add a II to the profile;) still though nice to see nothing has changed on here! People still thinking signings still work like they do on Footy Manager!

People ask why didn't we have three signing ready to come in on the 1st well the answer is because this is the REAL world! How many clubs get to sign people outside of the window these days. answer VERY few! Players and more to the point agents have wised up. why would you agree a contract with Wolves in Dec if by holding out you may end up at Liverpool come Jan with double the wages?!

Transfers are just not simple any more but for all the doom and gloom I think a reality checks required! Pop onto the Villa page someones getting traction for suggesting signing Billy Sharp and Leon Clarke. that would have been us some years back or now under different owners?!

This is not to knock Villa or the post (I actually think Sharp would be wise move for them, Leon Clarke on the other hand is still a League One Striker) but some on here don't see the wood for the trees! We are riding a FANTASTIC wave right now for one very simple reason because the current owners have worked miracles in our transfer room! You try saying to other fans that your a Wolves supporter 'dissatisfied' with our board and transfers and see what short shrift you get! ;)

Also SQ grow up, even for a WUM that's ridiculous. relegated. seriously why waste the time even logging in if its just to bate people. Just a waste of time really! ;-)

Ed at the start of the season I said the squad was not invested in enough. I think we have done brilliant with such a small squad . But now injuries are hitting and players are leaving with little sign of any incoming. I have said that with such a tight league with few points separating a host of clubs, it is certainly possible that we could at least be dragged into a relegation battle. For my opinion I get accused of being a Baggies fan or told to grow up. Rest assured nothing would give me greater pleasure in being completely wrong.

{Ed047's Note - I can only see you have two players out injured with Gibbs-White back and you’re bottom of the injury league table.

Boly and Jota the two out. I just can’t see it SQ, your manager is very good, you play some great football and no one every really batters you, the big boys don’t like playing you so for me all’s good.

I’m not a fan of posters getting slated for their opinions though mate, we all have one and that’s what banters about.
