How on earth can we go from being a team that finished 7th in the premier League. Exciting to watch. Buying players for 10-15million and much less who at played well for us to this shambles. I know people will still point to the sale of Jota and Raul's injury, but these are two players and good, shrewd management should be able to cope and replace these losses. Other clubs seem to manage. It's an absolute shambles at the moment. I've got my ticket for Saturday but fearing the worst.
The higher management should hold there heads in shame. My only hope for this season is I think there are 3 teams worse than us. What a joke.

NGS, I post all the time that we have to see Shi gone, forget anyone else, change stars at the top.
If he continues to be in charge, I fear the worse.

Did anyone hear the Ipswich fans chanting premier league your having a laugh, think they have a point, reality check is required GON is throwing excuses out like they have gone out of fashion, said we were better in the 2nd half again I don't know which game he was watching, there are going to be tough days/games ahead he says, I have followed wolves for many many years john Barnwell sammy chung era I have never felt so low genuinely feel like boycotting the games as long as gon is in charge didn't want him in the first place, we are in BIG trouble

It's a good question NGS. I actually watched the 2003 Rugby World Cup re-run on the TV last night just to raise my spirits a bit. I'd forgotten how England were cruising in that game but inexplicably through a series of unforced errors and penalties allowed Australia back into the game. But and it's a big but, like all great teams they found a way to win. Wolves on the other hand after being 2-0 up found a way to lose the game, this time without any help from the ref, from what I can see.

So it seems that yet again Wolves owners and top table appear to be taking this club down again thanks to a lack of knowledge, foresight and ambition. Not necessarily down into the Championship but certainly to be bottom feeders in the Premier League. When Fosun stepped in last Xmas and rung the changes it was like one of those firefighter aircraft dumping a load of fire retardant chemicals on a forest fire and we all praised them for it, confident that the 'rot' of the previous couple of years had finally been stopped and progress resumed.

I even accepted that the annual talk of new players and ground re-development, just prior to season ticket and membership sales, may actually have some truth to it this time. How naive was I? This club has a famous history, no doubt, but after years of owners blowing hot, but mainly cold, that's a long lost distant memory, why is this? We are a well supported club that generally get's goodwill from the majority of the football world but in just 3 years we gone from everyone's favourite 'second team' to this. Are Wolves fans too interested in supporting the team under any conditions, too accepting of the hand we're dealt and therefore, are we partly to blame?

Personally, I've always supported Fosun, grateful for their rescue mission and getting us up, but why shouldn't we expect more, why shouldn't this famous old club play in Europe every year? we invented that competition for goodness sake. So, is it FOSUN OUT or be careful what you wish for, are we again going to be subjected to the strait jacket of footballing mediocrity for years to come?

For me, no more patience, no more 'we can't keep changing managers', no more, 'it's a new group they need time', no more 'give 'em till Xmas' the reality is they're all highly trained professional footballers that should know their jobs being lead by a Manager/Coach that should know his and yes with owners that should have foresight and ambition. So the jury is no longer out, they've been found guilty and are being punished, unfortunately so are we.

Interesting comments longmynd with which I agree. One point tho you said lose it without the help of the ref, if VAR was in operation ipswich would have 2nd one ruled out for offside I believe and we would have had a third with the offside decision overturned at the end. Ifs and buts don't deny the fact we were out played again.

NGS. Teams change as do their fortunes. Look at Leicester. Won the league, sold their best players, then slowly fell to now in the Championship. Only few clubs have the fortitude and financial resources to not sell best players when another flashes big money. And only few have the ability to keep buying all the other teams best players. Unfortunately Wolves are in the Leicester

Didn't see the game so unaware of those Abbey, but my point being, as you elude to it shouldn't be about the referees, it should be about our performance and judging from this we aren't even top table Championship standard now.

Couple of very important games coming up for GON. Early in the season, but a must win against Luton and a good cup run would be great. Lose these a the pressure will start to mount.

Personally glad we sold Nunes. He didn't want to play for Wolves and at least we got a reasonable deal on the sale unlike Guedes who we'll probably have to keep loaning out. Anyway things look much more positive now with hopefully young enthusiastic players not over priced coming in. We have the base of a very good team. Need to give GON and the team our full support.

Personally, I think Guedes is a great player but just not the right player for us.

No. I believe Nuno was our best Manager yet. Was liked by all media, players, fans etc. He bought the 'pack' mentality to Wolves. Unfortunately Fosun stopped backing him in my humble opinion and we're now reaping the results.
Would welcome him back again, no problem. Not sure he could sort this mess out though.

What about the 'Doc'?
Good for the odd goal also.

Shame. I was hoping he'd be playing against us on September 30th to feel the true Wolves experience. Nevermind I'm sure he'll hear it from the bench if he makes that.
