My knowledge of music is very minimal.

But I read posts sometimes of music being a theme of topic on here.

Just thought for fun if you were captain of wolves and had the choice of a music song blasting out in the dressing room before kickoff to gee up your team mates what song would you choose?

Yep, that's the plan Phil. Most good heavy metal will give you a headache, that one rips your head off, kicks it round the yard then at the end, hands it back to you on a plate. ???

Yeah, great sound Phil the guitar solo in Burn is also awesome. Now for the softer side of Rock you must listen to Pink Floyd live Pulse concert performing Comfortably Numb. The guitar solo in that is rated as one of the best of all time. It must be the Pulse concert though. Abbey's suggestion, Black Dog by Led Zeppelin is also well worth a listen.

Longmyndwolf agree Dave Gilmours guitar solo up there with Bonzo's drum solo in Moby Dick. Maybe a little too premature but why not Queens "We are the champions"

18 Feb 2022 11:27:09
Phil - Glad you liked it. It is an exceptional performance and as Alpine commented up there with the very best. As for Queen, one day Alpine, one day.

Phil - I've actually still got my British Thornton slide rule and I can remember the battle we had at work to get the company to buy calculators. They were large (desk top only) with pretty rudimentary mathematics capabilities but cost about £250 each which was a fair bit of money back in the '70's.

Nice blues Wimborne, I'd be wanting a bourbon and ice tho not going to kick a ball about. I remember the old ZX spectrum, sat up all night just to programme a Union Jack onto the screen, there was a superb Dam busters game, again I sat up all night flying missions but only ever bust a dam once.

18 Feb 2022 17:26:53
The spectrum 48k computer in the 80's when I was a kid the games I remember manic minor and slippery sid you loaded the games on cassette tape they used to take ages to load and most times after waiting 5 or 10 mins they wouldn't load (crash) so had to start again.

47.) 18 Feb 2022
18 Feb 2022 19:11:25
Wimborne. Yes I've saw him a few times, wish I'd seen him with Peter Green that I'm sure was good. Ivsaw Peter Green with Fleetwood Mac and with his own band much later. Christine McVie (Perfect as was) practiced with Chicken Shack at the Quarry Youth Club in Sedgley way back in the sixties used to listen quietly in the corner! Used to be so much better back then small venues loads of bands. Used to see top bands every week. All gone now sadlyall stadium stuff I can't get to. Pretty much like football sadly, stuck with TV only. Getting old is sh*t isn't it!

48.) 18 Feb 2022
18 Feb 2022 20:20:27
Ken, bet we could talk all night on bands we saw.

50.) 18 Feb 2022
18 Feb 2022 20:36:34
Getting old can be sh*t Ken but look at the positives. If you weren't the age you are you wouldn't have seen those bands live. Age is just a number, personally, I tell myself I'm 30, I just need to get my body to start listening.?
