Manager’s not happy, only named seven on the bench when nine were allowed, discontent wastes no time in spreading on to the pitch, to say we’ve seen it all before would be an understatement.

Reading wolves 5 things we noticed
Our next game Thursday against Arsenal must show us back to how we were before the winter break.
I fear if we don't the snowball of discontent will gather momentum.

The new signing looked great to me, his crosses were better than any I ever saw traore do. Yeah we are short on players but the young ones we have bought all seem to have bright futures.

Oxley, are you negative in all aspects of life or is it just towards Wolves?

I think it’s oxleys fault, we normally get one of his oh so positive team talks before the game.

Not a bad shout Les on a pay as you play deal.

Traore was outstanding for Barcelona today against Athletico Madrid he started and had an assist on their second goal in typical fashion.

{Ed001's Note - typical fashion? You mean he shanked it into the stand? That would be typical Traore fashion.}

8.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 08:09:59
That's not exactly fair Ed001. In his Villa days maybe.

{Ed001's Note - rubbish, he had a complete lack of end product. I have no idea why you are all so bothered he left. He constantly turned the ball over and put you in trouble, you are better off without him.}

9.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 09:35:18
Oh well we all have our opinions about Traore apparently Klopp is a big fan of his! He will do well at Barcelona.

{Ed001's Note - of course he will, La Liga is trash these days. He will be playing against League One level opposition most weeks. As for Klopp, he likes a lot of players that I would not agree with him for liking. He also never wanted Salah and had to be persuaded to sign him, so he is far from infallible when it comes to player judgements.}

10.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 10:03:23
I tend to agree with Ed001 regards Traore, however much potential he has it just didn't seem to be working for us. In terms of Wilshire a pay as you play deal would suit us but not sure the player wants to leave the South East, and in his position probably wouldn't consider coming up here for a short term zero hours deal.

11.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 12:16:41
Realistic not negative, we won’t be challenging for European places, there’s no strength in depth in the squad, the manager has limited or no options to change things on the pitch and he has had absolutely no backing from the owners from day one. It’s as if the Club has run into a brick wall, fans want to believe, the owners say nothing and the players go through the motions with a win some lose some attitude, it’s not what we expect and it’s not what what we were promised. This season is a carbon copy of last season, mid - table, no progress in both cup competitions and just happy to be making up the numbers in the Premier League.

12.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 14:41:12
"players go through the motions"?

WOW.

That is one criticism that CANNOT be labelled against our players. Not any single player.

13.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 15:01:01
So after 21 games last season we were in 14th place with 23 points and 11 points behind a European place (7th) and this season we are 8th with 34 points, 4 points off 4th place with a game in hand. Just how exactly is this a club that's not making progress?

14.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 15:39:52
Oxley you're quite right about options. Donk got criticism on Saturday but when has he been asked to play between the lines as he was on Saturday. He was better in the second but hardly his fault.

15.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 15:42:21
As I’ve said before Traore had no end product, didn’t contribute out of possession and £29m for a player who would be 4th or 6th choice in a few weeks is excellent .
I cannot believe people on here are seriously thinking Jack Wilshire to Wolves ??‍♂️. Surely you are joking?
Youri Tielimans will be available in the summer as only 12 months left at Leics- perfect replacement for Joao!

16.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 15:48:14
If we are playing that game then what about the season before last Jas where we around now remind me?! Still in the FA Cup for one thing! Let's be honest due to the complete crash last season it was always going to be easy to claim progress this season wasn't it. Is the Club making progress or is Lage working miracles? It's a genuine question and one which will be answered between now and the end of the season. Let's hope your right buddy and that we can go on to secure a Euro place ?

17.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 17:45:39
BullysBoy, your right about 2 seasons ago but Oxley us clearly stating that we as a club are on the decline. In 2018/19 after 21 games we had 29 points and sat 9th in the table. Season 2019/20 we had 30 points and sat 7th. So points wise we are better off. To me this is progress as Lage was brought in to move us to the next level.

18.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 17:50:04
Oxley gets a lot of stick on here as do I for looking at the bigger picture. You might call that negativity. Fine.
Has the manager been backed?-No
Last year, was the previous manager backed?-No
Does the present administration intend to invest? Who knows
Does the manager sound as if he is disgruntled with the present board?
-Possibly.

One thing in my mind is that I fear that yesterday's dire performance may certainly not the be the last, and a few bad results will project the possibility of fans turning against the board-purely because of the lack of support. FFP can not be used as an excuse to not at least have a back up plan to replace Traore, particularly in the light of so many players being sent out on loan. I like, a lot of posters on here, have been lucky enough to see Wolves win major trophies, but I fear that will never happen for our younger supporters without the investment and ambition initially trumpeted by the current owners.

We are where we are this season for two reasons.
1) Bruno's ability as a coach and his tactics.
2) Being able to play a settled team without additional injuries to any more key players. (very fortunate)
Hopefully this continues. The loss of Traore could make a difference, its one less player with ability. Irrespective of likes or dislikes.
We have a woeful lack of experience on the bench. For a Premier League squad this is simply not good enough. Yes we have players to come back from injury but by the time most are up to match fitness the season is likely to be over.
Jeff Shi isn't dumb why do you think he's hidden himself away all season? Not a word from him, its always left to Bruno or he sends Sellars out to speak.
Bruno and the team have done wonderfully well the backing has been inadequate. Simple as that!

20.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 18:36:12
SQ, have you heard of Chiquinho? Isn't he a replacement for Traore?

21.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 19:28:48
SQ I have never replied to any of your posts before but imo you have a lot of valid points (I know you get a lot of criticism)
On the Traore replacement I have my own take. Barcelona have financial problems have done for a while.Trincao joins on loan reduces wage bill, Traore winter deal already arranged as Traore doesn't want to be with us he's reportedly taken a pay cut to go? and no initial outlay ( might not keep him anyway) Skulduggery from our board? We certainly seem to have got the worst of the deal even thought I was not a Traore fan.
Stay positive we are getting back on track even with our limited squad, but we need to blood some of our young players in the next few weeks if Europe seems out of reach.

22.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 20:18:28
OK Jas in that case then Fabio is a replacement for Raul, so we can sell Raul now can we?! Let's not play games, simply buying a kid that happens to play the same position does NOT make them a direct replacement! Still it's OK we can play Trincao, only problem is he's been absolutely useless! I'd sooner start Chiquiho to be honest, he can't offer less than Trincao cause I'm not sure that's possible! ?

23.) 07 Feb 2022
07 Feb 2022 20:41:41
How is Fabio a replacement for Raul considering both are still at the club? Chiquinho was brought in as Traore was on the way out, hence he is a replacement.

Not meant to be a negative post but as a club I think we may have reached a plateau and the next steps are harder to take than certainly I thought.

We seem to be struggling to sign experienced players (with the recent exception of Semedo and Sa) that can take us to that next level. That may be due to football reasons, money, club management, club location or any other reason I don't know, but I hope Fosun find out quickly.

A top 4 finish (possible but we have significant ground to make up) would buy us a transfer window (if we can take advantage of it!).

Consolidation as a top 10 club would be a considerable improvement on the past 40 years at least.

42 years this year since last major trophy.
Being late 40's I remember Andy gray scoring the winner agaisnt forest but that's all.
Even if I could remember more was so young to appreciate and understand everything.
Into the 5th decade since.

I'm happy and proud to be in the premier league and competing as well as we have,But this never means I'm happy to remain mid table team.
I always have seen for us to be a top 4 top 6 club competing to break in the big clubs domain it's going to take time mindful serious planning.
I sometimes think are fosun a victim of their own success as the inevitable rise in fans expectations.

I still believe in fosun shi Lage that's my right and I have no problem stating that.

I’m pretty sure this is our best points to game ratio since we came back into the premier league I agree we do need a couple of players but we have been very good this season and lots to be positive about if we carry on the way we’re going we could all be on a European tour again next year

27.) 09 Feb 2022

BUAWS correct, take out the first 5 games and we have taken 31 points from 16 games, top 4 form near as damn it, meaning we are 8 points away from 2 points a game having taken only 3 from the first 5 matches. So in essence we need a straight winning run of 8 matches to haul us into contention and get the points per game up to 2. I haven't checked but that is probably a historic requirement for a top 4 finish in the current EPL.
