Like I've previously stated I'd love Martin, but the question is that is it worth paying the money we'd need to pay to get him when we already have a steal at a couple of million like Bodvarrson.

Mattyj Wilsons different type of player to martin. so it's not as if it's like for like. To be honest I don't think we will go back he's not worth 5m and I think that's why we didn't bother after initial bid was rejected. Ide rather us bring in a pacey skillfull attacker rather than a target man tbh.

Well done to the team for what sounded like a Reading performance rather than an Ipswich performance! From what Walter has said on Sky he is looking for at least another 5 players in the next ten days. He says "We only have four defenders and two strikers so we need other players. Sounds like they've got Luisao, B Jackson, O John and Sylla lined up to me. I'd personally still like to see Alberto or Bjarnason arrive, if they are really serious.

With the amount of players purchased/ loaned and allegedly lined up its no wonder the team is playing so well. I think they each fear the sack (transferred) . It's not as if their was any chance of that happening before the takeover.

1. Luisao
2. Ola John (Loan deal but for permanent we will need 7 million) .
3. Northwick-Jackson (Loan deal hopefully two years)

You can loan people for two years if there under the age of 21 I think and if there contracts not up for another two years but personally don't see the point in it misewell well just get him on perminent rather than two year loan.

Amazing how some of our Jackett-era players are improving under Zenga. Like Mason and Batth in particular. It's like having new signings. Plus, we are having new signings as well. How many more do we need this side of the January transfer window?

Cameron Brannagan is a none starter on loan because Liverpool state he must play in 75% of their matches. With Wolves overloaded in midfield and Teireira/ Oniangué now shoe in's, there's no way we could accommodate him. They would have to buy him outright, which I can't see either.

wavidsmith - if we sign Brannagan he would play more than 75% of games trust me. The likes of Edwards, Saville and Evans all of whom are 'overloading' our midfield will not get a look in. Brannagan is class rather than another run around and try hard like those three.

Batth has improved immensely over the last few months. Hated it when he just used to lump the ball upfield. But now plays to a teammate. And awesome in the air. Contender for MOTM today along with Dadi and Wallace

Dadi looks a steal. Really hope we would go after his mate Bjarnason in midfield and put all the money into that, instead of bidding £5m for Sylla. Mason showed today that he would make a good enough back up to Dadi and Dicko this season.

English second division Wolverhampton has Sylla for a while on the eye. It wants to spend no less than 6 million euros for the striker of Anderlecht and that is all. After Sunday's match against Eupen comes at an important week of talks.
Mauves used Sylla currently second man in the pecking order, behind or next to Prague as Teodorczyk. And Sylla? That is worth every euro. Seemed to offer six million purchased ridiculously high, then we should still fit here.
At Zulte Waregem it was important for his team - a younger version of Mbaye Leye as you want. And also at Anderlecht, he is a true scorer thief vital for Anderlecht. If they do it by hand, then they need only to find a replacement.

Pity we couldn't get Teodorczyk from Anderlecht instead, who's strike ratio is three times better. I had better shut up now 'cos I can hear the happy clappers coming with their 'give the man a chance' crap. And, before you start, just look at Sylla's record - it's absolutely appalling. Surely even you can see what a waste of money that is when Sako is available for the same sort of money?

Not one single transfer we have made apart from Tex has been speculated on or reported.
The reason why everyone was getting p***ed about Talisca was that it was dragging on. Posters on here saying "the club is mugging us off" "he's a w****r" etc etc. he was probably never in the clubs plans.
You can't get mad about paper speculation! Or even worse Twitter!
I can't believe we will sign a 20m plus player in the championship.
If we were going to do that we wouldn't have signed Prince for 2m. bod for 2.2m
I do think we'll sign a few more, one loan and 2 permanent-a winger on loan, striker permanent, another defender or two.
You'll probably find we'll sign more players in the coming months ready for January.

I'm pretty sure zenga has almost no, or very little say on who is coming in. He is the head coach period. With Laurie Dalrymple, Kevin thelwell and Andrea Butti dealing with signings.

Wrong Jt. Zenga identifies the positions that need filling and the recruitment team, with Walter's input identify possible targets. Recruitment team then go out and try and sign them, but Head Coach has major input in which individuals he wants.
