I see where your point Wednesfield is coming from however wednesfield don't worry it's just we're doing our DD more than last year and taking our time we've signed would be players that fit in Nuno way being a " team " hard to beat organised which his teams are and you don't have to spend loads to get that but it's only the 23rd tune we'll spend some money trust me.

Strewth Wednesfield, give Nuno a chance. Pre-season only starts on Monday. A good striker will cost a lot of money and no point to my mind getting in someone you don't have to Google! We stand a better chance with an unknown quantity, as Huddersfield proved. What's the point of a £4mil championship striker if all the other teams already know his strengths and weaknesses?

Bradley Dack is a good player and certainly scores goals, but is he just a younger version of Edwards? He has impressed for a couple of years at Gillingham but no one has yet taken a punt on him. There must be a reason for that.

Bradley Dack for only £1.5 million is a steal. Look at it this way, he's a lot better than Edwards, Evans or Price. He would make the step up quite easily, too.

I'm afraid that you are just coming up with heresay again Wavid. If we are truly aiming at promotion then we should be looking at higher and better than Bradley Dack/ Duck in my opinion. I agree with you about Edwards though. The goals he scores are more than counteracted by his poor control and passing which can lead to a big increase in the goals conceded column.

I think Bodvarsson gives us something different. He can hold the ball up, has pace and can play in a few positions. Plus makes a decent cheerleader at the end of a game.

Like we just said, Sako and Zyro can play as a second striker. We would be able to interchange between having a lone striker or 5 in midfield quite well like this. Worked under Jackett, anyway.

With Nuno's coaching we might get real value out of Mason. Dicko was back to his best at the end of the season. That's potentially two strikers who are good enough for this division. Plus young Bright. Add a couple of new guys as well and the future is rosier, or golder.

Throw a decent trainer/ fitness coach and a pitch with 11knitting needles in giving us a silky smooth pitch with "1mm tolerance overall" into the mix and you have a recipe for better footy from players who at times showed potential.

I see that you're all settling for second best, as usual. JDB, Mason and Bright are nowhere near good enough for a promotion push. Dicko is the only one who could score over 20 goals this coming season but needs help from a partner. Zyro is the only one who could do this, as proved when Jackett played him up front.

Have to agree with Dappa, Mason I would keep but needs player to play with him up front to make space for him, waste of time if you play him on is own but playing just behind a front man could be very effective, don't forget he had injury problems last year but still scored as many as the other so called strikers in our team and is more effective with the ball than most of our players, but like our other strikers we all keep knocking them but have they realy been given the service they deserve up front from our midfield, me personaly don't think so but that's only my opinion, let's hope Neno sorts it out.

Well let's bring back Sako - get the best out of Dicko and add goals and creativity. And before anyone says that we don't need any more wingers, he could play anywhere in the forward line with his pace and power.
Personally I would have him on the left, Costa on the right, Marshall in the middle (unless we find a creative central midfielder) and the strikers should then have a field day. The problem we had last season was that the lone striker often found himself out in the channels rather than in the box, hence Edwards scoring from midfield and Costa cutting in.

Sidneyb, that's a bit unfair on Dicko considering he injured himself so early in the season. Last season was a disaster for him but he didn't have a pre season to adapt to the new players and was thrown into a team struggling for form. Besides, Dicko is better as a 2nd striker as his main strength is pulling defenders out of position with his pace and movement leaving the main striker in space. Problem we had last season was Dicko missed so much of it and when he did play, we didn't have a striker good enough to exploit the space.

I agree Stattowolf. I'd personally get rid of Costa and bring Sako back. This would solve the 'missing striker' problem as we could play Sako (and Zyro) higher. I'd still get rid of Mason and JDB, tho, as neither are good enough, as proved time after time.
Add one midfielder to play with Ronan, and you've got the basis of a good side. How simple a plan is that?

Not 2 years. He played 3 games in 2015/ 16. Got injured in the 3rd game of the season against Charlton and didn't return to fitness until October 2016. Jordan Graham made his debut in November 2015, whilst Dicko was injured and got injured himself in January 2016, again whilst Dicko was injured. Graham has not played for us since do you tell me the games that Dicko and Graham have played together.

Dicko and Graham have played together, on 25th April 2017 at Huddersfield when Graham came on for his only appearance of the season in the 62nd minute and Dicko came on as a sub in the 85th minute. So in total, they've played a full 5 mins plus injury time. More than enough time to form an understanding.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion but I think 30 goals in 89 appearances is pretty good for someone who plays as the 2nd striker. Dickos strength is his pace which drags defenders out of position. What we need is a striker who can utilise the space cr3ated by Dicko.

Bodvarsson scored his 3 goals at the beginning of the season he was playing really well but seem to lose confidence dicko lost confidence as well missed a lot of sitters you can be a better player when you've got quality players around you.
