Twitter confirming nuno has been appointed. Also coming with him are Rui Pedro Silva, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias.

1.) 31 May 2017 14:05:03
Thelwell in charge of transfer for now how did he survive he must b a cat with nine lives.

2.) 31 May 2017 14:26:55
Couple of thoughts, let's hope the new manager and backroom staff make us hard to beat and give us a defence that are hard to break down with plenty of clean sheets.
secondly I think we won't be going back in for weimann now lamberts gone, too similar to what we already have.
finally if the youngsters don't get a chance it may be a blessing if jackett gets the portsmouth job as i'm sure he would snap up a few on season long loans to aid their developement.

3.) 31 May 2017 15:09:38
Yes I wasn't a fan of Jacketts but good luck to him if he gets the Portsmouth job, that is definitely his level.

4.) 31 May 2017 15:35:04
With cook now at wigan they now have jackett as their number one target. Was recently working at tottenhams academy and he would definetely help the likes of enobakhare, ennis, carnat, wilson etc. Would like to see ronan and gibbs - white get a full pre season as I think they're good enough for the championship/ too good for league 1. Ennis and wilson would fill their boots in that league and come back stronger.

28 Jan 2017 11:45:05
Very disappointed with the side he has put out today. Thought we might have put out the strongest team possible.

1.) 28 Jan 2017 14:08:29
Still disappointed?
I see Liverpool bring on Can, Coutinho and Sturridge as subs imagine if we could do that.

2.) 28 Jan 2017 14:34:49
Fair play they were great. apart from Evans and Saville who were awful for 90 mins!

3.) 28 Jan 2017 14:41:23
Just wondering 2.1 pompey and you still find something to moan about are you in the wendsfeild fan club

4.) 28 Jan 2017 14:49:29
Pompeywolf, are you serious about Saville and Evans? You must have been watching a different game to me as I saw them putting their foot in and breaking up play. They were not in the team to make marauding runs.

5.) 28 Jan 2017 15:04:21
Just my opinion and thought they offered nothing, the only ones never pressing. I just said good performance apart from those two. Thought doc was sensational as was Costa.

6.) 28 Jan 2017 15:53:15
Over the frickin moon how can people doubt lambert didn't go but watched it and all the commentator kept sayin and I think it was Murphy was wolves are so organised UTW MUST KEEP COSTA AT ALL COSTA

7.) 28 Jan 2017 16:35:34
Saville and Evans didn't press as they were holding making sure there was no fap in front of back 4 for Liverpool to play through. There positioning led then to put hopeful high balls into box. Can't understand some people's views. If they would have pressed up they would have picked us off. Great tactics which were stuck to by two very disciplined players.

8.) 28 Jan 2017 17:18:33
Lambert saying he wanted to stop them playing from the back down the middle so that was Evans and Saville's purpose it's not meant to be pretty we have Costa for that!

9.) 28 Jan 2017 17:38:21
BT were full of praise for Wolves even the small chat after the match Ince said "we've talked about liverpool how about wolves" or something of that nature lol.
Even the match now Southampton Arsenal BT have mentioned Wolves heroics.

10.) 28 Jan 2017 17:42:24
Win 1-2 at anfield and some people still knock player 😂 😂 😂 carry on with football manager 17

11.) 28 Jan 2017 18:01:51
Pompeywolf fans like you get on my tits we have just beat Liverpool away played well Saville and Evans were brilliant all match and you cum on here and moan get a life.

12.) 28 Jan 2017 18:17:28
Evans and Saville were picked to do a job. They did just that. Magnificent performance all round.

13.) 28 Jan 2017 18:27:38
Thought Evans Saville were immense today. Liverpool at home didn't manage a shot on target for an hour. We completely blocked the middle of the park. Total discipline and team ran themselves into the ground. Excellent selection.

14.) 28 Jan 2017 19:58:46
Fantastic Result!

Well done PL and the whole team. 😉👍

15.) 28 Jan 2017 20:24:23
Evans and Saville were excellent - disciplined, tackled hard and gave Liverpool no time on the ball. They were just as good at Stoke. Cannot believe Pompey Wolf can't see that - wonder if you ever played the game?

16.) 28 Jan 2017 21:04:05
Who do we want in the round of 16 then?

17.) 28 Jan 2017 21:39:56
Fantastic result today, I can't belive the transformation after Zenga, PL deservers so much credit for an emaculate plan to starve Liverpool. Hard pressing up front and closing down on defensive duties. People may say Liverpool played a second
Team in some positions. but so did we! Possesion rate is just numbers its how we break and expand quickly and we exploited Liverpool's downfall. Congratulations to all the squad and Management and to all the fans who travelled to Liverpool today. On one final note as we all want is UPTW.

18.) 28 Jan 2017 21:41:51
@Razorwolf you are bang on my fellow wolves mate 👍👍

19.) 28 Jan 2017 23:13:58
Arsenal at home, then Oxford in QF, Lincoln in SF then Sutton in the Final.

20.) 28 Jan 2017 23:14:46
Don't mind as long as we're at home. We are ball number 5 for the draw on Monday.

21.) 28 Jan 2017 23:57:51
Holding in front of the back four and you moan they don't press? Clearly not adept in the art of football. fantastic performance all round, don't care who we get next round.

22.) 29 Jan 2017 00:15:51
Lincoln or Oxford at home.

23.) 29 Jan 2017 00:47:38
Bewdeley Wolf, everybody has being shagging off Evans and Saville all season but now because they played when we beat Liverpool it's like they were busquets and pogba, they were awful and will always be awful! You go back to fifa and get the best out of them but I don't rate either of them. Well done boys, great result but dangerous and Costa carried you both all game.

24.) 29 Jan 2017 00:51:42
Razorwolf, yes I indeed did play the game, in fact I managed to rob a bit of money out of football. I said we were fantastic today but I didn't rate Evans or Saville, gave the ball away countless times, weak in the tackle and hoofed it away all the time. Doc and Costa where brilliant as was coast who I think most people on here slate week in week out. Very short memories.

25.) 29 Jan 2017 02:11:40
Saville has had criticism I agree. But I thought he played well at stoke and Liverpool. And as for Evans he's only played twice all season so I don't think fans should criticize player that's hardly played.

26.) 29 Jan 2017 09:02:04
Pompey managing a pub team on Sunday doesn'take you a expert every year one else thought Saville and Evans did their job but once again you turn a posertive into a nergertive

27.) 29 Jan 2017 12:10:29
Think you mean positive in to a negative?! I'll just wait for the next time everyone starts banging on about how they were crap and should be sold! Stick to fifa mate they might be good on there

28.) 29 Jan 2017 17:54:21
Pompey, no one's saying they should or shouldn't be sold. We are talking about their performance in thus particular game and they did their job and made life hard for the Liverpool players. Long term yes, they are not what we need week in week out but they played well in this match.

29.) 29 Jan 2017 18:50:26
Don't play fifa mate I'm 39 not a child.

30.) 29 Jan 2017 19:44:53
Can't agree Pompey - both Saville and Evans put in solid performances just as they did at Stoke they were not awful and for me they have earned further chances. And for the record I haven't slagged off either of them (or shagged em as you so eloquently put) .

31.) 29 Jan 2017 23:33:27
Everyone is entitled to their opinion Razorwolf and for me I didn't rate either of them and never have. But mind you stearman scored on too so he will be the best thing ever although pretty much everyone raved about how bad he was and we shouldn't have him back. As I said we have won against Liverpool and well done boys but I'm just waiting for the next poor result to see who gets blasted then.

32.) 29 Jan 2017 23:37:06
I wasn't referencing you Bewdley Wolf. Mind you I do like a bit of fifa and I'm 40! We all have different opinions on different players and I've never liked Evans or Saville. Think Saiss should play more now he is back and also don't think we should have let prince go out on loan.

23 Jan 2017 13:12:37
Apparently we are interested in Rickie Lambert who had fallen out of favour at Cardiff. Also I saw that Steven Taylor is having a trial at Ipswich. Thought he might have been an option for us as he wasn't too bad at Newcastle and also a free transfer.

1.) 23 Jan 2017 13:46:07
No we're not it was suggestion as lambert tried to sign him when he was at Liverpool like I say as far as I read it was just a suggestion and nothing else!

06 Jan 2017 07:43:35
Reports now saying PL has stated we aren't looking to buy a centre back and if Marshall doesn't happen then NO business will be done.

1.) 06 Jan 2017 08:13:12
Absolute joke.20000 fans each home game can see how bad our centre backs are and that's a priority.
Led down the garden path again.

2.) 06 Jan 2017 08:18:32
if that is true pompey wolf lambert must be blind taking advantage of the loyalty of us fans protest required me thinks!

3.) 06 Jan 2017 08:32:16
Knickers get your knickers out 😂 😂 😂 read / listen to the whole interview. PL is as honest as he can be, we DO have some good kids, we do need to move some players on.
we only need 2 or three quality players not more average patience please!

4.) 06 Jan 2017 08:49:09
I think PL has been lied to by the Board about their plans. Can see him walking away at the end of the season like he did at Blackburn.

5.) 06 Jan 2017 09:08:40
I think everybody needs to chill out. Stop reading headlines and actually read the full story. Not a massive fan of Lambert but he's talking sense, we have too many players, we have 6 centre backs and 2 positions the state of the squad at the moment is ridiculous. We need to sell before we buy, it's as simple as that, not because of funds because of how large the squad is. We can forget this season now, I'm confident that with Lambert we won't go down and there is no chance of play offs, so why not get rid of 3-6 players in this window and start fresh in the summer, January is known for players being brought over their market value, so why waste cash and over load the squad more? Patience is key

6.) 06 Jan 2017 09:22:14
There are simply too many defenders and midfielders at the club who need to be moved on. Once this is done, others who can improve us can be added. I think the most important signing PL will make is on the backroom staff.

7.) 06 Jan 2017 10:28:40
He said we've got 7 centre back at the club and why would we want more. well I'll tell you why is because none of them are good enough. you could play em all and they'd still concede. theyr like watching the keystone cops. not long ago he was saying he was looking to bring players in to give us some help. well it's the back four that needs it the most

8.) 06 Jan 2017 12:33:20
I am now convinced that Fosun set a transfer budget at the beginning of the season and Jeff Shi got carried away (with help from certain quarters) and blew it all.
We are now it seems being run like a business and need to balance the books first. Same old, same old

9.) 06 Jan 2017 12:41:33
Football is now a business wether you like it or not. It's not same old same old because we (as a business) have a lot more money behind us. Why are our fans so negative all the time, the fans negativity cannot help Shi Lambert and the players.

10.) 06 Jan 2017 13:22:58
couldn't agree more must be the air around Wolvo. Am glad I left all those years ago

11.) 06 Jan 2017 13:43:57
15 Players PL doesn't want:

Defenders: EEL, Silvio, Deslandes, Iorfa, Hause
Midfielders: Texiera, Evans, Saville, Oniangue
Wingers: John, Costa, Wallace, Henry
Strikers: Gladon, Mason

Personally I would add Batth, Stearman and Price to that list but PL seems to like them.

12.) 06 Jan 2017 14:14:13
So you're telling me paul lambert doesn't want our best player in Costa? And also our most consistent player in jack price?

13.) 06 Jan 2017 15:05:50
i agree mitch price is one of our main players in the mid and costa is one of our best players, ill tell you who I do want out, dicko he is just playing rubbish. PL needs to give him a rest because he hasn't even scored in 8 or so games. I would play bodvarsson as he puts the effort in and he can actually win a header unlike dicko. Dicko isn't the same player as he was before his injury, I think he needs to move on.

14.) 06 Jan 2017 15:07:01
Your also telling me he would keep the crap defenders and lose the better ones.

15.) 06 Jan 2017 15:34:01
I only said Costa because he's going back after April anyway. They definitely won't pay the £10m Benfica want. Sorry for disturbing the Price happy clappers, as per usual.

16.) 06 Jan 2017 16:09:07
Price happy clappers? Tell me a player who has played more consistently than price?

17.) 06 Jan 2017 16:16:35
Got to keep Price but most of the others can go I would like to see Oniangue play again I don't think we have seen the best of him yet I would keep Mason too unless we sign a better striker

18.) 06 Jan 2017 16:59:40
Price is not the answer with Edwards next to him in a defensive midfield role. Edwards ventures too far forward, which he's good at by the goals he scores, and this leaves Price exposed. Some similar to MacDonald next Price would help him.

19.) 06 Jan 2017 17:55:59
Edwards should only be played in a midfield 5 as he's more like a striker - he and Price can be supported in this formation. Price and Edwards in a 4-4-2, however, just doesn't work. Far too much space is created as a result.

20.) 06 Jan 2017 19:00:23
Yes Edwards does go forwards too much so he should play in the number 10 behind the striker where bright and mason have been playing in the past couple of games. And we do need another cm like McDonald alongside price, but we won't buy another cm got too many rubbish ones

21.) 06 Jan 2017 23:13:21
I know, I absolutely hate the way everyone goes on about needing a striker when you've already got Edwards doing it. They are better off looking for a tough midfielder and just get used to playing 4-2-3-1 in every game. We all know that if you play Edwards, you HAVE to play that way, lol.

24 Aug 2016 08:07:57
Reports that we have outbid Sunderland for Alfie Mawson.

1.) 24 Aug 2016 08:23:31
WE ARE RICH 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰 Don't mess with the Fosun boys unless your an Arab with loads of Oil wells! MIGHTY WOLVES! Well done Walter and the lads, banana skin avoided! 👍.

2.) 24 Aug 2016 09:25:00
Yes I can confirm we have bid 3.5 mil for Mawson.
Romain Saiss to also arrive today, but Lusaco deal is off due to high wage demands.

3.) 24 Aug 2016 09:50:12
I'd take Mawson over Lusiao anyway.

4.) 24 Aug 2016 09:55:10
Is Alfie Mawson better than what we already have? I would rather see a much more experienced CH who can boss the defence and bring on the young guys.

5.) 24 Aug 2016 09:57:56
He must be North Bank if there is premiership interest. I don't see anyone banging our door down to sign our defenders. Mawson is quick and strong and can actually play the ball out from the back instead of just hoofing it like our centre backs do.

6.) 24 Aug 2016 10:32:50
Will Mawson have the experience that we need at the back?
i'm not so sure, he might be a rising star, but why risk his development by heaping undue pressure onto his shoulders, someone like Luisau would be more than ideal taking into account his top flight and international experience, might be worth pushing the boat out'wage wise for him.

7.) 24 Aug 2016 10:33:24
Yeh I saw, greedy Brazilian! F--k him off! 2 year contract 1.7mil a year. Nooooooooo. Well done Big Jeff 👍.

8.) 24 Aug 2016 10:59:30
Mawson would be a bench warmer in the Prem. We need a tough Williams (Leicester) type guy to build the defence around. Williamson could be that guy if fit enough. What about Dawson, Lescott?

9.) 24 Aug 2016 11:10:24
North bank 'prem' lol let's get there first.

10.) 24 Aug 2016 11:13:29
Don't you mean Morgan at Leicester? Dawson injured and with Lescott been there done that let's move on! Why do we need to buy people past their best. Walter likes young hungry players who are proud to wear the shirt not people looking for a big pay off before they retire! I'd still say Mawson all the way.

11.) 24 Aug 2016 11:21:47
Williams (Everton ex Swansea)?

We are not on that level yet, that type of player will be attracted to Wolves when we are in the Prem

If Luisao was only coming here for the money then I'm glad we dodged that one

Alfie Mawson would be a great buy and I hope we get him, from what I've seen he is better than Batth, Hause and Iorfa at CB but we still need an experienced CB with any of those - where the hell is Williamson, time to get rid of that one Jeff

Truth is we might not want a money grabbing git like Luisao but how else are we going to get a quality player with bags of experience.

12.) 24 Aug 2016 11:35:08
You are correct Pompey, I indeed did mean Morgan at Leicester ( a senior moment on my part) thank you for the correction) . Ron Flowers and Frank Munro type characters are what I want to see not another 22 year learning the ropes.

13.) 24 Aug 2016 11:42:11
Martin Hinteregger from Red Bull Salzburg, brilliant on Fifa when I bought him!

14.) 24 Aug 2016 18:58:22
I think we should get Stearman back from Fulham for footballing reasons, already has an understanding with Batth, has experience of all the leagues incl Prem and will only get better surrounded by the other class players we have bought in.

Don't care what anyone says but I'm gutted we could have signed Bradley Dack for £750,000. Missed out to Blackburn and would have been a perfect replacement for dangerous.

11 May 2017 12:26:00
News stating Lambert could quit the club after being told he can't bid for Abraham, Hanley and Lawrence. Apparently Mendes and Thelwell handling all transfers and Lambert isn't happy as he wanted to buy English players and they want Portuguese.

1.) 11 May 2017 12:43:47
Yep Pompey all over twitter now!

2.) 11 May 2017 14:17:00
A lot of channels saying the same thing, probably sourced from each other. Wondering if he is wanted by Norwich?

22 Feb 2017 17:45:47
I see that Christopher Samba is currently training with Aston Villa who hope to sign him. Type of player we could do with and a free agent.

1.) 22 Feb 2017 19:20:42
He priced himself out of a move last time we were interested. He wanted something like £80k per week which QPR were willing to pay. If he'd accept £10k per week then yes otherwise no thank you. His best years are behind him and we shouldn't be giving him one last pay day.

11 Feb 2017 17:10:38
Anyone know where Williamson and Saiss are?

1.) 11 Feb 2017 19:52:10
Anyone know which bar our strikers are in? Oh how we need quality strikers with composure in front of goal! ⚽️👍😉.

13 Jan 2017 23:52:37
Just listening to the Chelsea drama at the moment. Oh and guess who is behind it all. Mendes. bloke is all about money and we listened. Now we have a poor squad spent loads and have signed some fool for the U23's. Hunte looked good but we let him go. Think there is more to Fosun than meets the eye.

1.) 14 Jan 2017 01:14:55
Connor Hunte was booted out of Chelsea due to his behaviour. He signed for Wolves and initially looked the part but his attitude has gone downhill recently and we have decided to cut our losses and let him try to build his career elsewhere.

2.) 14 Jan 2017 09:08:41
Stick to watching the Chelsea drama and shut up whinging. what's done is done Who knows he made a mistake and acknowledges it by changing direction regards personnel. But you can't put it right over night. So get over it

You are that confident that we will only be starting with 10 players? Nuno will play wing backs so doherty and douglas will be in there.

Awful news about Ikeme. What makes me laugh is how many of you fickle fans were slating him a couple of days ago saying we need a new no1 as he isn't good enough and should be sold. Talk about two faced. You should be ashamed. I wish him all the best and think he has come on leaps and bounds in the last few seasons. Always gives 100% unlike most of you so called fans.
