Wolves fans forget that without FOSUN we'd still be in champ or league 1.
PSR is massively restricting transfers for most clubs.
What player is going to say yes to wolves when they hear about how the fans complain 24/7.
What is the point in spending 100m on signings for them to flop anyway.
The best way to compete in this league is to unearth bargains and academy prospects.
Every year teams overperform and underperform.
It's all about the atmosphere and the energy.
Just like Jeff Shi said.
When did Wolves fans start acting like Man United fans?
with that being said I think our squad is ready to go.
we know vitor wants physicality in his full back roles, we have that now in wolfe and hoever. yeah they might be raw but all they need to do is defend well and work hard.
We have quality where it counts.
Vitor will need to pull off a miracle but I think we can be pushing for Europe.
If you look at Vitors record when he came in;
Arne Slot (Liverpool) - 2.41 PPG (confirmed by Liverpool's 84 points over ~35 games, adjusted for his tenure)
Mikel Arteta (Arsenal) - 1.95 PPG
Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) - 1.87 PPG
Enzo Maresca (Chelsea) - 1.82 PPG
Vítor Pereira (Wolverhampton Wanderers) - 1.78 PPG (based on 32 points from 18 games)
Eddie Howe (Newcastle United) - 1.74 PPG
Unai Emery (Aston Villa) - 1.74 PPG
Nuno Espírito Santo (Nottingham Forest) - 1.71 PPG
so there's no reason why we can't have a good season.
Probably it all depends on what % of fans believe we will or wont.

We have lost 75% of our goal contributions and NOT replaced, watching the pre season games we are not going to score goals on a regular basis now this is fine if you don't concede goals but we do. Vitor PPG ratio is with the players that he had not with the players he's got now.
When fans are being charged more or equal to what Man utd fans are being charged the surely they have a right to question the transfer policy.
Agreed we defiantly needed a clear out of players that neither wanted to be here or those deemed not good enough but we need to replace players asap.
The 3 that have come up will not be as bad as the previous seasons so for that reason we are going to be dragged into the fight. Relegation will wipe off at least £200 million value for the club, so it's irrelevant what Fosun have done in the past it's what they are doing now that's more important.

Ordinarywordtree ? without 3 or 4 new players we are going down.

Difficult to slag Fosun off this transfer window as they have moved on a lot of dead wood and put in several bids for quality players. The issue lies in previous seasons which has left us as top 14 at best, so who wants to come.
Protesting on match days however will only affect the players we have and probably cost us games.
Cunha is a big miss, but was becoming very temperamental and selfish, Ait Nori I loved watching, but cost us as many goals as he scored. If we can get balls into the box Larsen will score goals, so a right back and another winger is imperative for me.

They have moved on a lot of peripheral and key players no doubt Camo but a bid is not a signing so is as such meaningless.
We heard at the start of the window from journalists that the penny had dropped with Fosun and after 5 years of progressive, some would say orchestrated, decline we are where we are as a consequence.
The implication ordinarywordtree that players are being scared off from signing for the club because of fans comments is as ludicrous as it is hilarious.
Players like to feel the club has ambition and will not be locked into a perpetual relegation scrap every season. Why only pushing for Europe why not winning it?

Well, I've known heatstroke to cause some hallucinations, but boy, someone's been out in the sun.
I never thought of some of the viewpoints made there.
I mustn't post any more negative posts tho, just in case I jeopardise a signing.
Fosun have taken us to the prem and Europe, they've facilitated some of the best football molineux has seen, some fantastic players and memories.
They led us to believe and to be proud, but now they appear to be happy in watching our demise.
The paper talk, click bait etc suggesting watching, monitoring, plotting and deal hijacks, if indeed true, happen every year of late and could well be Fosun appearing to make the effort. If the reports are true then our recruitment attempts fall below par, or as I've suspected the voiced lack of ambition and play not to lose relegation fight is the deciding factor along with wage structures.
VP will of course do his best, I'd expect the team to do their best, how I hope I'm reading about a wolves result Sunday morning, but it'll be the same as before if it dosnt come good, VP walking or released, a manager wanting a go at the prem promising change, some January signing others bucking their ideas up and a last gasp attempt to stay up.
When the penny dropped what did Shi call?

if Fosun built up the stadium like they promised then PSR wouldn't be as much as a issue.

ordinarywordtree. Based on the reaction of the fans leaving the ground last Saturday against CV my guess 90% think we'll struggle!

Where do these figures come from? "lost 75% of our goal contributions"!
Assuming we're only talking about Cunha and Ait, they contributed 19 goals and 13 assists between them, this was 33% of our total.
Like it or not they have been replaced with Arias and Wolfe, which has left us with approx £70mil to invest elsewhere.
Lifetime stats for these players are (apps, gls, assists, total, % per game, avg rating)
Cunha 271, 72, 44, (116), 42.8%, 6.87
Arias 348, 59, 61, (120), 34.5%, 7.16
Ait N 189, 12, 25, (37), 19.58%, 6.80
Wolfe 190, 7, 22, (29), 15.26%, 7.02
Of course we may be happy to pay a further £190k per week and keep Sarabia and Guedes for their extra 11 total goals/assists?

Stats are stats molineux but not like for like in the same league or same opposition. We can only hope arias and Wolfe live up to theirs.

Abbeywolf that was exactly my point, sometimes the stats and assumptions on here are often naïve and simply wrong, and that 75% was nonsense.
Agreed not like for like but what I was trying to highlight is that those two players that people are suggesting haven't been replaced actually have. The stats do seem to suggest that the replacements are of a similar profile and offer an offensive threat, but may fall slightly short of the players that they replaced, time will tell. Hopefully the surplus cash gets well invested, a RB and a CB signing and I genuinely think we'd be in decent shape, fingers crossed.

If stats were everything Hwang would be first name on the team sheet;
Hwang 325, 87, 51, (138), 42.46%
