Last night was a watershed event. In relatively short order, Nuno has brought together a team that can now dominate this league and can go forward next year and take on the Prem. Leicester have shown what can be done - suggest everyone makes sure their passports are up to date.

Feels like the momentum we had in L1 when Jackett took over.

Remember when Helder Costa was our standout player? Now we have a team of players with his ability, probably more in some cases.

2.) 16 Oct 2017 13:26:45
After back to back relegations, and dross over a number of seasons, the feel good factor is back

We finally have a squad who can play good football with plenty of depth in the squad too.

That's magic!

3.) 17 Oct 2017 14:15:01
Magic indeed, Lovely.

We've always had a few good players. Just never 11. I was looking at the u23 team earlier. It included Zyro, Burgoyne, Ronan, Hause, Oniangue and Deslandes. All with the ability to play in the Championship. Zyro must think he's unlucky not to be on the bench in the match squad.

4.) 18 Oct 2017 14:06:10
With the undoubted depth in the squad I wouldn't be surprised if 2/ 3 of the squad players are sold in January and the money re-invested in a single stand-out player. This would help with FFP and continue the quality upgrade we are enjoying. Edwards, Bodvarsson and Dicko were sold for useful money in the bank, and we certainly haven't missed them.

5.) 19 Oct 2017 22:00:53
We expected Coady Batth Price to go but they are still there and in their own ways doing well the best old Wolves player has been Doherty really pleased he has kept his place and is a match for the new signings.

Excellent article by TIM in the E&S. Certainly captures the moment. Edwards and Dicko certainly deserve our utmost respect and best wishes for the future. At my age having attended WWFC since 1962 I admit I am sentimental but also realistic. The revolution at Wolves does not come with any guarantees of promotion. This revolution to my mind is a high risk strategy for what is the toughest of leagues where relatively unproven players will need to cope with the Cardiff's and Millwalls on cold wet afternoons. I would have kept Edwards and Dicko for those tough afternoons. I would have preferred to see a blend of both Mendes stable and the guys who know the Championship - at least until promotion was attained.

I agree, well done Tim. My main concern is if we do not get promotion how long will Fosun stick around and what happens to my club then.

2.) 30 Aug 2017 09:18:46
I agree. A real gamble by the new management. If we don't go up, Will we be clobbered under the Fair play rules? If Edwards had been on the pitch against my guess is we would have got a draw. I can't help feel this is all too much too quickly.

3.) 30 Aug 2017 09:55:54
"against Cardiff"

4.) 30 Aug 2017 10:23:10
To many scared of change, sod the mediocracy we've put up with for years let's strive to achieve success. FOSUN 👍.

5.) 30 Aug 2017 11:11:52
Well said PT, embrace the change guys Fosun are already running our club on a world class level, what's not to be positive about 🙂.

6.) 30 Aug 2017 11:19:19
FFS "if if if "!
If you want mediocrity go watch Burton as Moxey is there and that is what you will get.
Fosun are going for it because they only know success, something most fans have been brainwashed out of by the likes of Moxey.
Just stay with it hang on tight.

7.) 30 Aug 2017 13:02:48
Goggs 1959 fosun have said they're here for the long term to achieve success and to take wolves to levels we could only dream of only a few years ago. When they took over jeff shi stated that they wanted to buy a club that they could grow into so many levels, off the pitch, on the pitch, overseas etc. Chelsea, manchester clubs being examples. Difference being the above clubs can't grow any more than they already have. Wolves can.
finally all fosun will do is continously repeat the process were already doing and done from last season till we reach the premier league. We don't go up then players no doubt move on for huge profit or return to their parent clubs if they're on loan. The transfer fees are then re invested to start the process again and again. No way will fosun walk away without achieving their goals the sole reason chinese don't do failure in business . Its not in their culture or their governments interests to be seen to be anything other than successful.
Its absolute genious how it will play out, watford do similar only not on the scale that were doing it.
Fosun are here to stay, the football worlds wolves oyster and I for one are so grateful that atleast morgan left us in magnificent hands. Finally there's not many owners who stop off in a pub with an open wallett. that's pure pr gold.

8.) 30 Aug 2017 14:12:10
Not scared of any change PT but also have clear memories of Zenga, Solbakken etc. It is clear that the current management team have a certain focus and ambition but only time will tell if it will be effective. Fingers crossed.

25 Aug 2017 20:04:10
I'm slightly concerned that we are going for inexperienced players with no Championship know-how. The Cardiff game was a warning!

1.) 25 Aug 2017 20:23:45
Hopefully Doc can explain to the rest of them how it works.

2.) 26 Aug 2017 09:32:42
Anyone for Joe Ledley, available on a free.

3.) 26 Aug 2017 10:54:45
Ledley a bit like Edwards a good player if we have a gap to plug but probably not Nuno's style.

25 Aug 2017 17:46:15
Dave EDWARDS has been a credit to our club, 10 plus years of always giving 100%, regular goal scorer from midfield . I thank him and wish him all the best.

1.) 25 Aug 2017 18:28:51
Hear, hear, great servant, but we are moving onwards he needs to do the same, Reading is a fantastic team for him to go to.

2.) 25 Aug 2017 19:17:58
A lot of people have slated Dave Edwards over the las couple of years but he has done a great job for us he scored a couple of crucial goals for us last season . Just hope the likes of him and Bod don't come back to haunt us.

3.) 25 Aug 2017 20:21:19
Edwards and Bod are good players and will show us what we have given up the surprising thing for me is that Edwards and Bod were never suited to each other with Edwards wanting to score the goals and Bod holding the ball up meant he never scored.

4.) 26 Aug 2017 03:10:40
I'm always sad when players like Stearman or Edwards leave the Wolves, 100% heart for the club. I'd back both on a cold wet night to out perform the new continental intakes.

It's a shame their skill levels are lacking the new standards we have set.

Good luck in the future, you will be missed my friend.

5.) 26 Aug 2017 16:19:08
I'm sorry to see 'dangerous' Dave leaving. Like Stears he wore his heart on his sleeve and sweat blood for our club.
Very grateful for the service he gave us and best wishes for the future.

16 Jul 2017 07:45:15
Harry Rednap considering Robbie Keane - would Robbie's experience not be great for Wolves if only for a year - just a thought.

North bank62

1.) 16 Jul 2017 09:32:27
No, too old now. Past his best days. The days of our club signing players at 35-36-37, at the back end of their career, look to be gone- thankfully. We can, and will, do a lot better than Robbie.

2.) 16 Jul 2017 12:41:43
LA Galaxy let him go to give the younger lads a go, that tells me his legs have gone. Robbie was a great player and will have the odd good game and score some wonderful goals but over the season he won't do anything special in my eyes.

We move on with better players now.

3.) 16 Jul 2017 15:28:06
Look forward never back.

Medical science has progressed massively in regards to AML - all the best to Carl in his recovery.

fully agree.

Lets hope this achievement can now be topped by dominating the Championship through to promotion in May. I hope that Fosun will see that continued investment will be required and that the opportunity to build a Premier club can start with the January transfer window. I think an additional high quality striker is required and possibly a creative midfielder plus a full back. Gets these bedded in before next season.

I think Marshall, Price, Bennett and Zyro might leave in Jan as I don't think they have Premier quality.

I think Bright would benefit from a loan spell in Div 1 to get some shooting practice. Alternatively Nuno continues his development off the bench.

Also how about completing the stadium redevelopment plan.

We are emerging from the darkness.

Old Wolf, I see Edwards (7.5) had a higher rating than Ramsey (7.0) for the Wales game - someone must think he could outplay your dustbin.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion here and therefore I ask that some of you don't shoot me down. I am concerned about the failure to sign a striker and believe that Edwards and Dicko should not have been sold . I have many friends up and down the country who support other clubs and rate Edwards and Dicko highly. I don't hold blind faith in the manager/ owners as some and I do fear a repeat of the Zenga story, a good start until tough opponents figured out they just had to play tough to stop our highly skilled players playing ( Cardiff) . If we are not in the top 6 at Xmas Nunu will be gone and the owners will consider their position. A resounding win against Millwall needed.

Coast I fully agree.
In the mean time for the next match. I'd like to see Boly in for Miranda, Alf in for Saiss (suspended for 1 game), Vinegre is a must at left back.
Also change between the posts.

I agree, Danny has been transformed by Nuno. He's now England quality ( I'd admit that's not as difficult as it used to be) and Coady and Hause are not far behind.

Leo is unlikely to be available for every game ( injuries/ suspensions) and Bright is not a striker, I suspect they have someone lined up for Jan already. Coady can do right back and Boly goes to CB.

There has been significant improvement in several players this season, Saiss for sure, plus Coady and certainly Danny B - long may it continue.
