So the FA aren't taking any action against Jack Robinson for hitting Jota in the face because the panel of three referees weren't unanimous that it was a red card offence. Have I missed a rule change allowing players to raise hands against an opponent and not get sent off? It's not as if there isn't clear evidence as to what happened.

Oh well, we move on and look for our next three points!

1.) 13 Feb 2018 12:34:26
Yeah saw that ludicrous decision
Jota take it out on some Preston and Norwich defenders and score a few.

2.) 13 Feb 2018 12:52:11
Pathetic decision.

3.) 13 Feb 2018 13:44:06
You have to be joking that was a clear red.

4.) 13 Feb 2018 14:20:13
Only goes to prove the inconsistencies of all referees, those still working and also those that have retired.
Let's move on.

5.) 13 Feb 2018 17:25:36
But you know that if it had been a Man Utd/ Liverpool/ Man City/ Arsenal/ Chelsea or Spurs player assaulted, the FA would have taken a very different view.

6.) 13 Feb 2018 19:11:56
Did we really expect anything else, from the FA?
We are clearly not one of their favourite clubs.
But let’s take the positives- Jota wasn’t hurt, we won the match, oh, and we won’t be playing Holloway’s thugs next year.

7.) 13 Feb 2018 19:19:50
Guess he's just too honest a player in these times when a touch on opponents sock is " contact", he gets up every time and doesn't do a "Smalling". On different note, does any one know when our shirt contract is up and who new sponsors will be. First time I've never bought the new shirt, sponsors put me off.

8.) 14 Feb 2018 07:33:10
Sponsor runs out after next season I think mate. And yeah, I got one of the retro shirts this season because of not wanting that money shop crap on my top.

9.) 14 Feb 2018 19:58:17
Think main sponsor would be s fosun company like club med etc.

10.) 16 Feb 2018 12:03:57
Been to by someone in club shop that we are switching from Puma to Adidas as kit suppliers next season.

When Afobe was causing havoc first time around with us, he played a deeper role behind Dicko. Both at Bournemouth ad now under Nuno, he has to play right up top and doesn't look the same player.

He has to adapt his game in order to play that role otherwise he won't be earning a permanent contract. That was clearly what Nuno was referring to when he spoke after signing Benik on loan.

I would like to see Bonatini back in the team as he gives us a focal point and I think we are going to need that against some of the teams we are going to be coming up against. Look at Fulham at Molineux - they were awful aerially at the back. Even on their good run, they have still been conceding. Who Leo comes in for though would be difficult to decide as Jota and Cav have been effective and Costa is finding his form again. I personally would drop Costa and have him run at a tiring defence for the last 25-30 minutes. That would help keep our shape later in the game when substitutions are made.

Plus have Gibbs-White as our creative midfielder to replace Neves. We can shore it up later with N'diaye and Saiss if necessary.

1.) 23 Feb 2018 15:59:40
I would leave Costa out too. He's done nothing wrong, just a tactical rotation to get Leo back in. MGW to start - well, it's a risk but that's how legends are made.

2.) 23 Feb 2018 19:41:41
No two ways about it, it's going to be a tough game tomorrow. I always get a bit jittery but I am concerned about how it might go. I couldn't bet against a loss. I hope upon hope we take 3 points and to that end I hope nuno shows confidence and starts with the same line up. But please no Afobe unless absolutely necessary. Let's get into it early get the confidence back. I know neves can't start so go with seiss. Also is Costa fit? I thought he was injured Wednesday night.

10 Feb 2018 11:38:27
I read that Man City want to meet referee chiefs to bleat on about being targeted for bad tackles. I think someone needs to remind Pep that his are not the only team on the receiving end week in week out - think about some of the tackles Jota has been on the receiving end of, but we just get on with it!

Whilst no one wants to see other players injured, bad and mistimed tackles are part of the game. Players aren't robots.

Iv heard Sandwell Town mentioned before, I think they are a small club based on the boarder line of Handsworth, miss fits of Birmingham.
Sorry Wolves Til I Die but I don't think that club would be big enough to be a feeder club for players of our quality.
Thoughtful idea tho 👍😀.

Terrible, terrible news about Liam Miller. Cancer is such a devastating disease. All thoughts and wishes to his young family.

Well done Millwall (never thought I'd hear myself say that! ) What a cracking result that is for us.

Just heard the sad news that Cyril Regis has passed away. I know he only played a handful of times for us at the end of his career but he was a great player in his pomp even if it was for our local rivals.

RIP big man.

1.) 15 Jan 2018 08:31:19
Well said Statto, got to be said that team albion had of the late 70s was one of the best at the time.
There front line of Cunningham and Regis frightening.

GodBless Cyril. 🙏.

2.) 15 Jan 2018 08:58:10
Rip Cyril sad news.

3.) 15 Jan 2018 08:58:41
I seconds that statto, can’t believe he was only 59 . Great player in his day . R. I. P.

4.) 15 Jan 2018 09:41:55
Agree with all comments above, RIP Cyril 🙏.

5.) 15 Jan 2018 12:40:14
Cyrille Regis, a gentleman, talisman and a great centre forward. All the plaudits can never say enough about this guy. May you rest in peace, big fella.
Laurie's waiting to put a cross over.

And a big good luck to our ex-boss Paul Lambert. I'm sure he'll keep the Potters up. There are worse teams in the premier.

6.) 15 Jan 2018 12:50:50
Sad news RIP Cyril great player only 59,such a young age.

7.) 15 Jan 2018 12:55:31
R. i. p big Cyril
Remember him coming on as sub at Barnsley last few secs and scoring from corner to win the game
Legend for us and Albion
And rest of mids.

8.) 15 Jan 2018 20:10:36
Devastated by Big Cyrilles passing, true legend who managed to bridge the divide between four great midlands rivals.
Seems poinient that we all admired and loved him with great memories
1980 at the Hawthorne’s he absolutely ripped us apart, think he scored two that day and we scrammbled a 2:2 draw somehow.
. and I know he’ll be looking down wishing his old teams make it back to the big time. For his sake and his memory let’s hope the Albion survive and we get the chance of avenging the last defeat and doing the Villa the same way.
Why should the Mancs, Scouser and Cockerneys always have the premier league limelight, time for some Black Country and Brummie time!
RIP Big C✊🏾.

{Ed025's Note - good post that charlie..

I must point out that those stats for goals and assists between the two wing backs are heavily skewed because Douglas takes free kicks and corners whereas Doherty doesn't! Seeing how Doherty has been performing all season and the work he puts in, to say he needs to be replaced is really harsh!

Remember he has played every league game and two cup matches whereas Douglas has alternated with Vinagre.

Fair enough Anewdawn, you are right that no one knows what goes on behind the scenes. You did state "he was part of that 3 and showed no loyalty" which I thought was unfair and responded to accordingly.

Anyway, whoever comes in, whether it's Afobe or someone else, let's trust that Nuno knows what he is doing as he has done little wrong so far! The way that the club has been turned around in the matter of 6 months warrants that faith I think.

Sorry Anewdawn, but I think that is harsh to question Sako's loyalty. He stuck with us when we went down to League 1, stayed with us until the end of his contract despite offers from clubs in higher leagues in those respective seasons.

He did not engineer his way out of the club during his contract, unlike Afobe, so to say he showed no loyalty is out of order.

For the record though, I wouldn't be unhappy to see Afobe back as he will fire us up having experience and success in this league and I think he will have a point to prove in the Prem given his experience at Bournemouth.

I wouldn't mind seeing Iorfa come back from loan. As much as I respect Mick for his time at Wolves, I think Iorfa will lean more from Nuno and there is talent there, even though he had a shocker last season.

Ruddy's signing was mooted before Ikeme's horrible diagnosis. I would gladly have Carl in goal over Ruddy, as I don't think he makes the same number of mistakes. All keepers make the odd mistake, but I think Ruddy makes too many.

Just my opinion.

Lowwolf mate, I didn't think it was aimed personally at me, but as I had criticised Ruddy, I thought I would justify my point. I guess its the lawyer in me!

I will always support the team, whoever turns out, and I am very happy for players to prove me wrong because that means a positive for the team! Roll on Saturday and another big game.

I wonder if we will see MGW in central midfield during Neves' suspension as our creative man? I hope so, he deserves a chance and also sends a message to the academy that there is a route into the first team despite our spending power if you are good enough.

I am not being fickle in my criticism of Ruddy - I posted on here before the season started that he is prone to a lot of errors. Whilst he has 17 clean sheets, how many matches has he gone without having anything to do? Quite a few, which means that the defence are to be applauded for the clean sheet, not Ruddy.

He has made a few errors this season which have been glossed over because the team still won the matches; last night we didn't which brings it into sharper focus.

I am not being negative for the sake of it, I am just not a fan of his because I don't think he is good enough and I have said so all season. That's my opinion. However when the boys run out on matchday I get behind everyone.

Having said all of that, it is disappointing to have been pegged back as we should have killed them off long before the 93rd minute! I bet Bonatini is a bit miffed at his game time dropping off a cliff recently.

I said right from the moment we signed Ruddy that he makes too many mistakes and that he should only be back up. Unfortunately he cost us last night. Luckily most of his other gaffes have not cost us points but he has been making them all season.

He only has such a great record because of the defence in front of him. Bring Norris in, after his cup exploits, he deserves a crack.
