The premier league is back first match tonight.
The wait is over happier days with full English leagues all back this weekend.

I think man City for league title again.
Arsenal Man utd 2nd and third.

Liverpool and Chelsea will have better season than last season.
Spurs Newcastle will be tough to finish above Liverpool and Chelsea more so Liverpool.
West ham up there or abouts along with Brighton and villa.

Leaves us to imo our best shot is top of the rest.

Promoted teams most likely favourites to go down but all 3 not to be taken as likely bankers.
Luton are the weakest team will be huge effort for them to stay up.

Wouldn't argue too much with that Phil except that I'd imagine West Ham will have their usual struggles and Spurs are just an upper mid table outfit these days. Brighton will doubtless unearth some midfield gems to replace those lost.

Phil it's the start of another season of hope, I hope we'll be surprising a few, I hope we don't get too despondent when we lose an unexpected one. Survival is the main aim and anything above that a bonus. I hope we play as JL had us last week, getting up the field, attacking balls winning the loose ones and more importantly scoring. It'll be an interesting Monday night GON's first game and away at man u. I don't know what we'll be able to take away in a judgement sense let alone points but let's take it as it comes and the we can comment. Enjoy the ride and COYW

Think you might have Brentford and Brighton the wrong way round Jas and I like your 18th.

I just think MacAllister. Caicedo and Colwill going will be too much for them to replace.

If Wolves finish 9th I will be over the moon Jas.

We suprise a few people. The more I read about O'Neil, the more I think he'll do well for us.

Agree with pretty much all the above. Jas I’ll gladly take 9th. As a few on here have said, O’Neil is our gaffer now, we need to get behind him and the team 100%. What we don’t need is negativity if we lose a game or two. Just remember last year with JLo- Brighton, Leeds, Arsenal spring to mind. This squad is more than capable of holding their own, I have no doubts they will do. Give GON a chance, he may just prove all the doubters wrong

Reckon Spurs will do well to finish 7th with 50% of their goals currently having a medical in Munich mind ??

Things may start to return to “normalcy” due to big spending, but here’s my very tentative guarded predictions:

1st: Man City
2nd: Man Utd
3rd: Arsenal
4th: Liverpool - higher if they knick Nunes off us
5th: Chelsea - Poch is a good coach and their best signing
6th: Newcastle
7th: Aston Villa - again Emery is a good coach
8th: Brighton - again could be Europa League victims
9th: Spurs - higher if they splash the Kane cash
10th: West Ham - astute use of Rice cash
11th: Brentford - maybe much lower due to Toney and their keeper leaving
12th: Fulham - Raul to score 15
13th: Bournemouth- but deserve to go down after the way they treated GON
14th: Palace - always just survive
15th: Wolves - just about but if our players play to their potential about 9th
16th: Forest - unless they implode
17th: Everton - but hope it’s 20th
18th: Burnley
19th: Sheffield Utd - sold Berge to Burnley
20th: Luton - sadly
