Im so disappointed with our disfunctional forward line yet again, i'm sure a professional footballer should be able to clear his lines on the volley with either foot! Sorry to say but Raul, Hwang simply just not good enough anymore, positives are Guedes looks very good. Why bring Hwang on when he may be going to Leeds, these jokes will cost Lage his job.

Very disheartened by all today.

When you watch the highlights guys check our movement, not 1 run to the near posy where Neto was putting the balls in.

I really do hope we get 2 centre forwards in, last minute dot com again though.: (

Not sure Lage is the right man to take us forward. Good squad of players but the tactics are wrong and as always his substitutions are too late. The second half cried out for Traore. I think Lage should be following Hwang out the door

Agreed Mini, although off today's performance at this rate Lage is going to cost himself the job! I've backed him all the way but he was out smarted by a very average manager today! Someone needs to tell him about the rule change to five subs because AGAIN today no subs until the 83 min cost us! Bringing Dendoncker on when times already up sadly screams of ineptitude and no confidence in the managers own ability! I've said it before he can't keep asking for patience when the performance are getting worse! Yes Rauls goal should have stood but let's be honest here we didn't deserve it! I don't care how peeps dress it up that was a VERY poor performance today! We scored a goal at home in the first half then just tried to sit on it, why?! We weren't playing a top four team and we were supposed to be the home team!
I feel so sick of these performances, we look like a team that's forgotten how to win (or pass five yards for that matter)! Hwang is absolutely useless, peeps say about Adamas attitude but is it any wonder when he has to watch players that aren't fit to clean him boots come on instead of him?! Sorry Bruno but I for one am running out of patience! We can't keep playing that badly and KEEP just saying we just need patience! Bruno wanted his own players well I'm afraid Hwang is one of those and frankly he's not good enough. What does that say about the man that keeps picking him? ?

It's OK bringing Traore on but which one will we get?

The one who mopes around sulking because he doesn't want to be here or the one who puts 100% in, sorry but Traore is too much of a risk.

If anything Podence should have come on.
As for Hwang . that's my thoughts on him.

Problem is Rated that any version of Adama brings more to the table than Hwang! To say it was too much of a risk feels somewhat ironic considering what Hwang did, not sure how it could have been any worse to be honest?!

It is disheartening Minifrank but let's hope the final pieces of the rebuild jigsaw that we are allegedly signing have an impact.
Given the undeniable quality within the squad now attention will inevitably fall on tactics and team management.
I really hope it comes together soon, we don't need and Fosun won't tolerate another season of underachievement.

If Adama is still a Wolves player on Friday morning, I'd have him in the office and say "When we give you the ball, just run at the opposition. You don't need to stick to a particular side of the pitch".

Let him float around the opposition box.

Nunes did not look like a £40m+ player.

Jimenez is not the same player he once was. Ditto Pedro Neto.

Neves was immense.

I don't know what the answer is but I've a feeling that Bournemouth on Wednesday will turn us over. If they do, the writing is on the wall for Lage.

Such poor judgement on Bruno's part to have any faith in Hwang . Love to know who recommended him, cost them 2 points today by not making a simple clearance any Sunday league player could have made. Feared the worst when I saw him and Podence introduced to the game, it should surely have been Adama and Dendonker. Please Leeds do us a favour, take him!

3 points lost due a mistake, we all do them, so we need to just move on. Yes Hwang has not been great, but that was just one if those things although extremely annoying. Bully's Boy II, if you think our 2nd goal should have stood, you need to watch the replay which shows Neto sticks his elbow into the players back and sends him flying. We would be in uproar if that stood against us

Hwang looks like a boy lost who cannot get anything right. Sadly he looks a bad buy. We need a striker who prowls the box and gets in the right position. Our new boys need time to fit in, sure that will cone with a target in the box. Raul looks a shadow of his former self, and maybe not being the main man up front will take pressure off and give him the spur to perform from the bench. We need a result Wednesday.

Agree, massive game on Wednesday. I just can't understand the lack of urgency from recruitment all the way through to the guys on the pitch, I'll always get behind my team but they sure know how to make it difficult. Maybe I'm reading to much into the performance today. we can't hide the fact that in several passages of play we were like a rabbit in the headlights and were dominated.

How good do we think we are.
Do we look like we have a plan B.

Im just not convinced, on our day we are a good team but that's not enough for me anymore.

Consistency please.

I can't quite put my finger on what, when and why but my feeling is that the rot set in post Covid with the 7th place finish and failure to qualify for Europe. Other events since then have suggested issues but we overcame them but never really seemed comfortable (at least that's how it seemed to me). The Leeds defeat last season however precipitated this run of form which so far we haven't been able to overcome. Obviously we struggle to score goals and as was mentioned about Traore he doesn't want to be here but clearly the pack isn't as together as the marketing suggests. let's see what Bournemouth and 23.00 hrs on Thursday bring but if we have to start looking for a new manager its going to be a tough gig until the January window but we do at least have good players to work with. I've no idea who I'ld like to see in but if the club have a preferred option I'ld rather see the club act sooner rather than later while games are available.

Jas M.
It's not like you to be negative but I can't argue with you. I for one, just cannot see what our game plan is supposed to be. Our new players look totally unprepared for the Premier league and have certainly not yet improved our team, which begs the question, should they be starting. Under Nuno they would have been given time to get up to speed. Adama should have been brought on with 20mins to go. Absolutely. I don't think neves will leave at this late stage, but if he does, we will be relegated. At the moment he is truly brilliant and without him we would simply collapse as a team. I could see the reasoning from both sides in letting coady go, but if he had stayed and played, we'd probably be 3 points better off at this stage. That's water under the bridge, and we still have a fantastic group of players. But no team is too good to go down. Over to you Bruno

Lage may well pay the price for sticking with Hwang with his job.
How can he not see that he's not up to the rigours of the premier league?
Nunes will come good, he's quality and so is guedes, two new forwards needed and quick.

Traore should be nowhere near team end of in my opinion, You either want to be at the club or you dont, and he's the latter in my opinion.
Play the players who want to be here.
Today we got undone by a worldly strike after a mistake, it happens, we didn't lose, there are some wry bright signs if we get a No9 that can command the penalty area.

17.) 28 Aug 2022
28 Aug 2022 19:59:17
Sharesum, you're right as I am usually more positive but today highlighted a few things for me, namely that we don't attack quick enough and allow the opposition time to reorganise their defence. Secondly, we are over reliant on Jimenez to hold up the ball and try to bring the likes of Neto and Guedes into more advanced positions. The problem is that Jimenez just isn't the same player as he once was and the opposition have figured out that this is the only way we will play as we don't have a plan B. Hopefully a new striker is coming in over the next few days and the option to change tactics becomes a possibility.

I must agree Jas M, we restructive defence and midfield with signings yet lowest goal scorers and we constantly rely on 1 man, don't really give Fabio a fair craic and no one signed to help/freshen up 4 games in.

I always try to give a balanced opinion but I just can't today, the facts and stats don't lie. The Donk should have been on tactically after 60 mins when we had no grip on the game, Newcastle played a high line and no traore? If we can see it surely the coaching staff can.

Doesn't make sense
