This Gomes and Flamengo stuff ain't adding up for me, it's all coming from one journalist.
One might wonder if that journalist actually works for Flamengo and is stirring the pot.

I think you're right Debbie. Tim Vickery is a journalist BBC did out onto Radio 5 Live sometimes to give special opinions on South American football but he doesn't seem very knowledgeable.

GDawg, Tim Vickery is freelance who has regular slots on Talk Sport (among others) and knows most of what happens from SA.
I was ridiculed by some on here as I posted in August that we had done media work and videos for two South Americans (Marquinhos and Barbosa) which never happened in the end. We had agreements, we had them in Wolves shirts and the media team had put together initial promo clips for them.
They both weren’t completed as dealing with South American clubs, players and agents is a nightmare as often the clubs don’t own all of the player. Sounds like the similar issue is happening with Gomes. Let’s hope we can get it sorted this time but it taught me a lesson that you don’t post rumours or info received on here as if it doesn’t happen certain posters make you out to be a fraud.

Trying to do deals with South American clubs is akin to dealing with a nest of vipers! Even if you get what you want you still get bitten. I hope we win this one he looks a decent player.

Thanks Tommo. I've heard him 2 or 3 times on Radio 5 in the last 6 months and it tends to go along the lines of "now to our absolute finger on the pulse guy for south America, Tim Vickery. If he doesn't know it, then it's not happening." Then followed by Tim Vickery telling us that R9 Ronaldo and CR7 Ronaldo are not the same player and there is an emerging South American talent named Messi who might become the next Batistuta. Then a phone in question will be read out asking him about Enzo Fernandez and he will not really know who it is.

Talking about S.Americans. why did Pedrinho not sign last year? Was it due to immigration as he was playing for Donetsk I think? And all the reports we were getting about Dario Osorio signing for us coming out of central American?

Interesting that the clubs don't own the players. It seems a lot of the south Americans come to the continent via Spain or Portugal which would make sense due to language but they must have also found away to process the deals through the litigation that we seem to be struggling with. Maybe Jeff should buy a small Iberian club like he has Grasshoppers as a proving ground for us!

Couldn't give a hoot about myself but care deeply that I don't put anyone out on here.
Feel stuck in the middle and useless and a wimp.
Too much of a conscience to deal with posting.
Like I said takes courage for me.
I can't get to see games on TV,time I can is past my bedtime
I rely on reading the reports transfer gossip and peeps are in disagreement.
Being level and clear headed I think the real windup merchants like invaders to our site are the instigators and it ruins it for me and the likes of you.
I genuinely care for you all as you one of our own wolves fans.

Phil I have read your posts many times and you have made me laugh and cry in equal measure. I lost my dad just a few days after some posters had ridiculed me in August when I posted that the media video compilations and promos had been done (a friend helped to work on them). I stopped posting then as posting from a bad place is never a good idea. Too many people are very quick to rubbish posters when things go wrong even though I had been first to reveal 3 or 4 things including details of the Fosun takeover 3 days before the press.
I enjoy reading your stuff and in particular Jas M. The info I currently have is that Joao Gomes is at loggerheads with Flamengo as he wants to come to England and sporting Lisbon have now entered the race too. There, no doubt someone will have something negative to say about that too.
