Look at thier site. they are underwhelmed, they see him as far too inconsistent, impressive on occasions with the ball, but a bit heads down and poor decision making. Also put off by likely price with Mendez in tow. Too similar to Sterling.

It does seem to fall in with Klopp's previous transfer tactics though, he seems to like buying overprices wingers that embarrass his defense.

In one article, they mention that Sadio Mane played well for Southampton against Liverpool which made him bid £35m for him.
As long as we get £25m for Costa to buy the replacements, I don't mind.

I seems I was taken too literally, I was making a joke because of the references to the mane transfer, the press seem to be stretching this story a bit in my opinion.

Amsterdamwolf, the papers are saying Klopp basically signs anyone who plays well against his teams and have named Mane. To be fair though, the £35m they spent on him seems like a bargain.

Looking at the starting eleven from last Friday, I would only want to keep Costa long term. The rest can all go and earn their livings in League one or Two. While we're on, Thelwell can join them as well.

Ikeme has made 1 mistake and everyone has lost Faith in him, Doherty has been arguably one of the best full backs in the league, Batth and Stearman didn't do too bad nor did coady, the midfield wasn't great but wasn't terrible, weimann isn't a winger, Edwards slows everything down at CAM but you can't write him off because he's a good player same goes for bodvarsson up front, it would have been difficult to pick a better team then what we already have, only maybe Saiss, Hause or even Enobakhare to speed things up going forward but overall the team ain't too bad, 2 jammy goals was the difference.

I agree on Ikeme. people forget for the last few years he has saved us countless points.
Can't agree on the rest. Only Costa worth keeping as 1st choice. Some could be OK as Squad Players at best.
Recruitment strategy over last few years has been a disgrace, with one or two exceptions.
Need a clear out at the top first, then sort the Squad.
Too many League 1 standard players. No debate, we are 21st!

On the evidence of what we have been watching, with Lamberts team selections and him saying the players he as at is disposal are great, then why do we keep playing crap football, I am worried that we could get relegated, hope there are another 2 teams worser than we are because I think Rotherham are down.
Barring a few players the rest of the team look like division one players at best, over £25 million pounds wasted, Fosun need to sort this problem out now not wait till next year and get rid of all the persons or person concerned in this mess we are in and start from fresh, it seams to me we have Amateurs running our football club, and the playing at molineux and losing all the time with ex players scoring against us is a joke.
START WITH TRAINING ON THE MOLINEUX PITCH FIRST AND FINDING WERE THE NETS ARE LAMBERT, then we might have a chance.
