Jackett been offered job and expected to take it and thewell will sign jay Simpson on a free! Top sources

Bin told the same but I have been told he as already said yes I want the job and his press confrence is Monday Tuesday grate for wolves that jackett is are new manager he as all the tools to b grate for us and he is now at a big club who will back him its hos time to shine like it is r time to shine

Confirmed jackett offered the job u can find this on a web site also betting has been suspended, Morgan seen leaving hotel with jackett.

Its looking more than likely that Jackett is going to get the job. He may have received 5% of the votes in the E&S poll, but I Think this was only because people prefered other candidates rather than being against Jackett. The guy has a good winning record and plays good football, can't be bad.

Jacket done wonders at millwall on the budget and players he had, he would of made the play offs only for having to sell 2 players just before Xmas, took them to the fa semis, he will turn wolves around and bring back the good days if given the time

Blimey how thrilling jackett

You all wanted coyle yesterday now Hackett today who tommorrow lol

Cheap option again by our board! ThEy have no vision and Jacketts appointment is a return to the McCarthy era! NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

It's on the Daily Mail website that Jackett has been offered the job. his style of play has been described as "no frills, ugly football. " Underwhelmed, would have hoped we could have attracted better, but with the management we have and the league we are in.

Just feel so deflated. hope i'm wrong and he is sucessful. but from what i, ve seen at swansea and millwall it doesn, t excite me at all, just like the last three appointments

This is source for Jackett being offered job

We had a chance to create a bright future but instead have gone for a damage limitation approach, madness, nothing like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. See you all here in a season or two for the next one after this delivers little.

A return to the McCarthy era? the same era as winning the championship and getting to the premiership, No thank you!

People saying that KJ is the "cheap" option, don't forget that the board have to pay compensation to millwall still, whereas Coyle or McClaren are freely available

Until wolves post a statement there is no guarantee I'm still praying everyday moxey and Morgan pull there fingers out and wallets and go for poyet as the prem options are slowly fading

It's cheaper to pay compo to Millwall than bring Team Coyle to Molineux! Anyway whoever we get we must get promotion at first attemp! Paul Tamworth

A return to the McCarthy era? When we were winning stuff? What rubbish some folks talk.

Kenny Jackett is not a bad manager. The board have expressly said they are looking for someone to change the playing style of the club. Why, after extensive interviews, would they go for someone who played "ugly football"? I think he will attempt to play good football, but will change the tactics according to the players he had, which was probably my only criticism of Solbakken. We should get promoted next year and then if we stagnate in the Championship then we move on. Jackett is a good appointment for the time being.

I think people need to look back a few seasons. To the season when Swansea City were perilously close to falling out of League Two. A certain Kenny Jackett took over, changed the style of football and got instant promotion into League One. Now look where that model has got them.

People also forget that he was Manchester City's 2nd team manager-and look what happened there.

Whilst he wouldn't have been my first call (I would have chased Steve Davis until out of breath, what with the success of our academy)I'm more than happy with Moxey and Morgan's call for once.

From out of darkness etc

I live in London and all my Millwall mates tell me Jackett will be greatly missed by Millwall fans, all of whom will wish him well at Wolves. Excellent man manager, strong character, tactically intelligent and managed the impossible in South London - he silenced the vociferous, stupid, negative knockers with six years of attractive, committed and honest performances on the pitch. Hopefully he'll do the same for us.

News just in that Kenny Jackett has just been offered the Wolves job, expect an announcement in the next couple days to announce the news, I can guarentee he will have the job in the next couple of days.

Morgans cheap manager like the others except he is 51 just kept millwall up what a joke thanks again morgan

I hope not

FFS give the guy a chance!

Get behind the manager and support your club

Come on wolves fans give the chap a chance, his record his good with the tools he has had, his time his now with wolves so back him, nothing bad on his c. v. never been a failure always done well were he has been, good luck kenny in your new job hope you take we were we want to be and play some football for once, if you can do that you will become a legend to the wolves fans. wolfy

People like you we don't need saupporting wolves, you think in your little mind that a. ferguson or j. mourinyo, parden spelling should be running wolves, we have been down that road before with england managers and that got we nowere, give the man a chance good c. v. now let's give him the 3 yrs to get wolves up and running, then after 3 yrs judge him, you might have a shock this time. wolfy

Wolves fans have got us into this mess always calling for heads always against managers? bruce for 1 McCarthy, etc, keep ya mouths shut if its a detrement to the club and open them on the terraces.

No one thinks we will get mourinho mate, it's just that most fans had never heard of kenny jackett before we were being linked with him so it's a bit of an underwhelming appointment!

It's not the Wolves fans who run the club! It's the 2 M's, their sh#t managers and players that have got us in this mess! We're the mugs who keep going givin them our money! Paul Tamworth

Anyone would think wolves were a premier league club, going by the talk on here, they are in league 1, and will be getting jackett, who kept millwall in the championship and reached the fa semis on a shoestring. Where as wolves were relegated, you should be happy that he has decided to leave millwall for an inferior side

No-one heard of Kenny Jackett? I remember him playing at Watford excellant number 2 to Graham Taylor there. Improved Swansea after Roberto Martinez started the boll rolling. Excellant job at Millwall on limited resources i. e promotion fa cup semis keeping them up. If you're going to spout rubbish go to Tesco. 100% behind him good appointment

McCarthy got sacked because we had only won once in 3 months, not because of the fans. Stale was sacked because of the players. Saunders was sacked because he was awful. Non of these were as a direct result of the fans.

Read properly I said most fans hadn't heard of him not you in particular? Go to tescos? I'd rather knob your grandad.

Bookies have now suspended bets on jackett to be next wolves manager

Ummmm. No they haven't

This sums morgan / moxley up on the cheap set this up from day one again this cockney was the only one that would yes sir to them

That's that then! I for one think whilst he isn't the biggest profile manager we have been associated with, I believe he will quietly go about his business and impress his doubters.

If you go on Wikipedia and look at the stats (which don't give the full story, I know) Jackett has the best record of anyone mentioned. 42% success rate.

It's good news that the bookmakers do not decided who our next manager is going to be. Pay no attention to them. Coyle is the man.

30 May 2013 15:35:05
To be honest people read too much into what the bookies odds say. Wolves keep completely quiet until a decision has actually been made so the bookies have nothing to go on apart from what people put their money on.

CalWWFC

The man that is so committed to us that he is holding out for the Wigan job.

'Cockney' - You are having a laugh or deaf as he is about as much a Cockney as you and me!

Hope your right Saint! Paul Tamworth

I for one think Jackett could do a top job with the wolves, but also think anyone mentioned could do a top job with wolves at this level!

Bookmakers drop odds in response to demand. Think about it. Even if Jackett has a 1 in 10 chance of being manager and the bookies have taken millions in bets they're not going to offer 10/1. More like 1/10.

We saw this last year. One day odds for Walter Smith went below evens following some rumours. Then they went way out again.

We need stability. Kenny Jackett would bring that. He got Millwall promoted. Laid foundations at Swansea. Got Millwall to the FA Cup semi finals. Graham Taylor rates him. He would do for me.

Told by a club official on tues, coyle has the job, just sorting out his back up team and there wages.

It's true bookmakers do not decide but all the money is for Jackett. He's now long odds-on. There's not a penny for anyone else.

I am completely for Kenny Jackett as oppose to Owen Coyle but I wish people would get the facts right. Roberto Martinez laid the foundations at Swansea others have carried them on improving each time.

Jackett been offered the Job like I said on day this is 100% true let's hope he accepts it

Kenny Jackett managed Swansea 2004/7 and won promotion out of Division2, hence laying the foundations. Martinez managed Swansea 2007/9.

Ab rubbish no money for others - sure Uwe is in from 33 / 1 to 5 /2 ffs

Berra to west ham, 1.5 million

He is out of contract

Berra is a free agent, and looks like jackett as got the job he's odds on fav

I thought he was out of contract now?

Why make up storries. He is a free agent so there won't be any fee involved.

It probably is Jackett the cheapest option with no back room team. Think I am beginning to dislike Thelwell as much as M& M.

Does anyone know what the f what is going on re manager

Would never pay 1.5m for him anyway

Thelwell is definately a glove puppet for the 2 M's, and If it is Jackett it is a cheap option! Il back him 100% as long as we're promoted this season, anything else is failure! Also I can't see his appointment attracting more season ticket sales! Paul Tamworth

How compleatly underwhelming lol

I don't care what the profile/cost of the new manager was, because at the end of the day all that matters is results and results give us promotion and promotion puts us back on the road to where we should be.

Owen coyle wouldn't sell more tickets he has failed at most clubs and jumps ship when time gets hard jackett got millwall to where they are on no budget and has failed so far so I can't understand how some people don't want him coyle is rubbish
Sr

Berra is free to anyone prepared to pay him.

I saw on the Rangers Rumours site a few days ago they were discussing signing him. Consensus was he's not worth it. And that's to play in Scottish League 1!

Poor Christophe. A year ago he was a Scotland international.

Who exactly did people expect? Who ever is appointed most of you will just moan. How do you know Thelwell is a puppet, what intimate knowledge do you have of the wolves to make such wild and ridiculous statements. We are now a third division team and whilst Jacket is neither my first choice or exciting he is probably the pragmatic choice.

"Thelwell is a glove puppet " based on what? You are being cynical for the sake of being cynical aren't you? Re "cheap option" I suspect if the club bought Ronaldo you would accuse them of taking the cheap option. They should have bought Messi instead. Pathetic.

Thelwell was appointed from within! He's a puppet to the 2 M's! Why do u think we didn't get an outside DOF? Il tell u! Because they would see straight through the 2M's and tell them to stick their job! They don't want anyone rockin the boat! Paul Tamworth

How is Kenny Jackett the cheap option when we have to pay Millwall compensation. Look at the records of him and Coyle and you will find he has much the better one and he is also loyal unlike judas Coyle

PT just shut up and support the club!

Give the guy a chance FFS

O'hara to Boro, his misses will love it up there.

I've heard both he and Roger Johnson are off to Southampton

Ian
