TaTa Steel the rumoured buyers of Wolves. good or bad?

28 Sep 2015 21:56:43
Thought they were struggling at the moment?

28 Sep 2015 22:22:44
It would be good but we heard those rumours a couple of years ago.

28 Sep 2015 22:35:39
That one again I wouldn't think there was anything in it other than perhaps a bit of sponsorship

28 Sep 2015 22:38:00
Would be good if they are interested. look how they transformed jaguar / landrover from loss making company into one most prestigious companys in world. now it wouldn't take half as much money as jaguar needed to get wolves at the top of the football league table.

also jaguar engine plant is just up the road so if you get wolves back on track, you get a happy workforce, thus more productive output, so win win for them. they probably looked at villa but they cost too much to start with and to sort out.

Wba - no links in area, smallheath too much hassle to try to get carson yeung out of the club so we are the best option with no debt, good foundations for future, no competion in the area.

28 Sep 2015 22:55:25
We need a consortium headed by a football person, with at least some real love for our club.

29 Sep 2015 08:54:43
This is a name that came to mind! They actually wanted to buy the club a couple years ago but Morgan said no, but now I reckon he will sell quickly, if ever this did happen, I would want us to have someone in charge that has a footballing brain, because someone crazy rich could come in and not give us much money to spend or anything, what wolves need more than anything is one season where we can spend 20-30 million on any players that want to play here.

29 Sep 2015 09:27:42
Someone's reignited the TATA rumours less than 24 hours after the club has been put up for sale. That is impressive.

I've heard rumours of a Chinese billionaire with links to the Black Country called How Yow Bin looking to but a club.

29 Sep 2015 10:06:14
What a time to leave but I will be glad when gone ,can see him not selling club till he gets right price which could take ages and a way of putting in less money than he already as which will take some beating, with a certain Mr.Moxey running the show so it looks like a bumpy ride wolves fans something we are used too
Let's hope he can sell quickly and we can invest some money in some quality players at championship level so we can challenge

29 Sep 2015 10:27:06
I think that the best thing about Morgan going will be that his demand for the whole team to be made of wolves youth will be gone. Jackett has wanted experience to be brought in this season, but Morgan has said no. Jackett has obviously feared for his job if he was to have spoken out. Hopefully jackett can get the players he wants from now on. UTW

Isn't that China consortium headed by yu Bo Luky sun

30 Sep 2015 07:39:04
No, Yu Bo Luky Sun is too busy at the moment.

Maybe you were thinking of Hu Flung Dung

30 Sep 2015 17:30:45
Two brothers I heard Weh Whun Wunce and Howlong Since. Worth a punt.

01 Oct 2015 22:54:50
We'll be Sir Ching for a long time at this rate.

28 Sep 2015 20:17:34
Anybody like to make a guess at what prompted SM to finally press the 'eject' button? Money? Fans pressure?

28 Sep 2015 20:56:16
He's made his Redrow money out the city of Wolverhampton, now he will move on to another area, he can see we haven't the squad to get to the Prem league and he doesn't want to throw the kind of money needed to get there. This move is best for both parties!

28 Sep 2015 21:05:37
After not getting promotion last season he's realised that you need to spend 15-20 mil to get anywhere near an she's not prepared to do that. The only saving grace is Afobe was not sold.

29 Sep 2015 19:39:08
The dream never happened. He could see it would take too much to get us to mid-prem standard and stay there.

28 Sep 2015 19:03:06
Glad Morgan has gone Wolverhampton is in my heart yer right now u sell the club do 1 I say let's have a mega rich Arab in please and bring back the good days

28 Sep 2015 19:14:17
Arabs are suffering with low oil prices with reduced funds and will not invest in Wolves I am sorry to say.

28 Sep 2015 19:19:17
How would the gentleman who sold you a massive football club for a tenner feel tonight.
I can tell you redneck he would be ashamed.
Disrespectful, do the right thing double your money and go.

28 Sep 2015 19:42:13
1 down 1 to go

28 Sep 2015 19:50:27
He has obviously not got the time or interest anymore, which was evident in the transfer window. At least he is good enough to be honest and give someone else a chance. UTW

28 Sep 2015 21:04:16
A nice Russian billionaire would be nice

28 Sep 2015 22:38:00
Don't want a billionaire that sounds like a sell-out. Fill the club with prima donnas with no connection to the town. Much rather we fight our way up not buy our way up with dirty money.

29 Sep 2015 07:56:35
for every abromovich you get 10 Vincent tans we should be afraid very afraid.

29 Sep 2015 19:40:42
Yes that's another problem pye green too many cowboys out there.

02 Oct 2015 13:36:03
I'd rather have the 10 prima donnas and the Russian billionaire.

28 Sep 2015 17:26:14
Well some of you have got what you wished for. Steve Morgan selling up! and hold tight for a bumpy ride.

28 Sep 2015 17:43:34
His timing and decision making is absolutely shocking.

Why now? Why not during pre season?

Poor decision after poor decision started with Mick ending with this and 20 poor decisions in between.

Good ridenence.

Now let's get someone in with a bit of ambition and not just use us to line his pocket and leave.

I know some will panic and wonder what's going to happen next, but now hopefully we can move on.

Best news I've heard for years in relation to Wolves.

28 Sep 2015 17:54:15
Been saying for weeks there's somethin going on behind the scenes so no surprise. Will he take the Fat Controller with him?

28 Sep 2015 17:57:44
Dot, time will be the judge of the timing and the decision. I for one think we will be worse off as a club by the end of this season because I don't see a queue of buyers and the period of uncertainty will be very painful.

This will no doubt divide the fans again at a time when we need to support the team and each other and pull together 100%.
Hope I am wrong but fear I am not.

28 Sep 2015 18:56:30
This season is not panning out how we all expected in more ways than one. Below mid-table, key players injured, no owner. Anything else heading our way?

28 Sep 2015 19:12:35
It's going to be a bumpy ride with or without him.
The timing is pathetic and shocking,he's spat his dummy and sums the man up.
Wolves are bigger than him, my fear is if he can't sell.
He ha s nailed his flag to the mast, he won't invest a penny.
What if he is still here in January.
Fire sale, players going on the cheap.
But then look on the bright side, Jez is holding the fort.
C'mon scouse boy, you can double your money see you down carden with me twenty quid.

28 Sep 2015 19:13:05
Folks wanting / expecting a rich buyer are not taking into account that there are 2 premier league teams also available to purchase in our area - yes with debts but also with premier league turnover and probably income next year so better prospects. having someone with passion for wolves and the money is going to take some searching but let's hope they are out there.

28 Sep 2015 19:49:02
I definitely agree that the timing is terrible. However, as far as finding a buyer (I may be slightly bias) we are a debt free club with regular attendance figures. If someone was looking for a long term project we are the perfect club to invest in.

28 Sep 2015 20:19:06
So we finally get the truth - morgan not got the bottle to make wolves a force again so puts us up for sale. did he think you make money at every football club? if he had done his homework he would of known it's hard to get a return on investment.

so we got a great academy but average at best first team. thanks for ruining every wolves fans hope/dream that this season we had a chance do something this season ,

Steve, if you had doubts why wait this long? who is out there to invest in wolves like we need. if you're lucky ypou might get a fair price say £50-80m. if someone is interested but look how hard it was for sir jack to sell the club, so thanks for the academy but sorry you didn't have stomach for the fight to make us great again.

Now my personal thoughts on what could happen , I'm really fearful we'll get sold to some faceless far east consortium who is only out for kudos of owning a football club, not someone who will care about the club and care even less about us fans.

all assets will get sold we'll get absolute crap players probably from a far east academy. You can kiss goodbye to fair prices for season tickets.

sorry be so doom and gloom but having seen what happen to other clubs, e.g. Leeds and Swansea, the future ain't bright. it's far eastern and that ain't good. i don't think we'll get lucky like Leicester or Bournemouth.

28 Sep 2015 20:54:26
It was the only thing to do because he was never going to invest any money into our club he as proved that, if he had bought Liverpool and invested the same what would the fans of done, but anyway I would like to thank him for the Academy and ground improvements its a pity he didn't invest in players and its for all to see this year that its been a terrible start and the side as looked weaker than last year and we was not good enough then but why how why didn't he put the club up for sale at the beginning of the season if he thought anything about the fans he would have, but no he keeps making mistakes so at the end of the day I for one will be glad when he as gone and hope Moxey goes as well for fresh start .
Knowing MR.MORGAN he will overprice the club and still be here with no investment and a certain MR.MOXEY running the show still

28 Sep 2015 22:41:30
Is there a buyer out there already do you think? I presume he realises we aren't going up this season and won't be able to parade us at Anfield in the foreseeable. Hope someone interested in the club buys it, not just someone who wants any football club.

29 Sep 2015 08:03:01
I think this could be a massive blow to wolves, morgans only mistake at the club was to be taken in by the moxey spin he as spent money revamped the training ground and the academy, he has invested in the playing side as well but you must remember thelwell and moxey deal with recruitment and moxey was never going to spend big because it effects is end of year bonus. moxey and thelwell are the cancer at the club and now morgans gone god help us

02 Oct 2015 18:10:20
How do you come to the conclusion that Thelwell is the problem?! What evidence do you have for this? Let's be honest everything on this page over the last few days has been opinion and guessing. Nobody truely knows what's going on, and Moxey's interview hasn't helped that one jot either.
