When do we next play Burnley? I might pop down to William Hill and see what the odds of Vokesy scoring against us

So it's Bristol city boro n Blackpool away blues at home 12points up for grabs so what you all think. Can see 2 -3 at best.the realist.

Hope there called off because of snow! Let's start again mid Jan when Stale will be backed or sacked!! The latter I hope! Paul Tamworth

The way I see it is that we're drawing or only losing these matches by one goal. And we usually score. So if we can stop a goal going in per match then the team can turn things around.

Easy to say I suppose.

Let's be positive today! Last game of the season and we need a point at Brighton to make play offs!! What a weekend that would be!! Come on the Mighty Wolves!! Sorry Realist, Mills wolf and others but it's only Thursday and works not goin well! Paul Tamworth

Seen in the paper today that Stale and the players had a meetin yesterday. Senior players want him to change his tactics but Stubborn Stale says no! Also questions asked why Sako isn't subbed in the second half when he's obviously knackered! Start listening Stale it's your funeral! Paul Tamworth

Posted the other day Ref 7or8 players not wanting to play system or for S.S. if I post something on here, try not to disagree with it because my sources are always correct. When I have more FACTS I'll let you know. Oh check today's E&s. P.J.

I am stunned that Paul from Tamworth has actually got a job. Must have a very understanding boss if he lets him play on this site all day!

Redbird

Paul take yourself of to a darkened room n have a quiet word with yourself, dont be goin all saft on me now ha.the real realist.

Not goin soft Realist, I want this guy and our owners out big time! Il never be a Happy Clapper with these runnin us! As far as work goes I run the place so I do have time.thanks! Paul Tamworth

Thats more like it,looks like the tails trying to wag the dog, much as i predicted in september, pity weve lost j r ewing he wudda sorted it.sue ellen replacing heyhoe flint.

Bloody hell PT you must be a hard boss to please lol #banter #nooffence

TDW

None taken. Good job I've got a job where I can keep checking on this board, or others on here would have u beleive were Top of the Premiership instead of 18th in a crap league! Happy Clappers!! Paul Tamworth

PT is an ice cream man that's why he's on here all day no business at the moment.

Lol, close? I'm goin to be a lollipop man! As u don't start work till your 65!! 31 more years to go!!;) Paul Tamworth

You're 34 Paul!! Jesus I thought you were like 60 your ideas are that dated!

If stale does get sacked (not saying he should!) who do you think is the best replacement? Be realistic though lol.

Ones I've thought of:
Alex Mcleish,
Gordon Strachan.
Owen Coyle,
Not Mark Hughes, he's terrible.
Roy Keane,
Steve Kean
And Alan Shearer.

But the only 3 I reckon would be good enough are Kenny Dalglish, Roberto Di Matteo and Paul Ince (you'll disagree with Incey 'cause he isn't a proven manager, but he's a fan favourite and let's face it all the fans would love him.)

Mate, even though they are all realistic they are also all crap.
Missed out on Holloway after MM.
I like King Kenny and would also like King Kev.
Either way Moxey would tie one arm behind their back and ask them to do the job. He is the problem.
Get Moxey out.

I wouldnt

Well no to Keane & Kean , no to McLeish , Strachen is favourite to land the Scotland job. Hughes , no. And finally Shearer a resounding no.

Fans favourite is not good enough at the moment - look at us!

None of the above. They are all sh*&. Paul Ince? No. The fans love him but when things go wrong as a manager watch them turn!

Alan Curbishley

I'd like to see Alan Curbishley and wouldn't mind Souness, I've heard he has links with Morgan.

Oh joy to all those journey men!! This is exactly why I would love stale to turn things around.

You forget that we would have got Bruce last year but for the opinion of the fans.

I am as gutted as any of you about our rapid decline especially when you see where WBA are at present. However a season / seasons change quickly.

I am certain that we wouldn't be in our current situation had Pezko and boukari not got injured.

I really want stale to succeed but he needs to comd up with a plan b and quick. Whilst he might want us to play like Barcelona unfortunately we don't have the players at the moment! Points are the only thing that counts between now and January then a massive spend and a hope that Father Christmas treats stale well!

Wolves moose

Ray Wilkins

Moxey hates souness with a passion from a failed deal when sir jack was selling he club. I could never understand why there was such a lot of people against Steve Bruce . January is still a massive point in our season whoever our manager is. Morgan has got to show the colour of his money because the players we have now just ain't good enough. If they can't adapt to different styles of play or are causing unrest in the dressing room then get out of our club.

How about a manager who played at the top level and decided to learn his trade in the lower leagues such as

Di Cannio ?

Mills wolf

Can't understand why fans are choosing the next manager, iv'e told you time and time again S.S.is going nowhere so deal with it, he is the man for our Club so for Gods sake give it a rest.P.J.

Ray Wilkins - CravenWolf

Nit saying there is anything in it but an out of work manager has had an " impromptu meeting with Steve Morgan".crewe fan good source.

Poyet n Wilkins please.

Jose Mourinhio. It would be an exciting challenge for him after all this success , winning leagues cups and champions leagues. He would love to win a medal via lifting the championship trophy.

An out of work manager excellent. I'd been dreaming of us getting Pep Guardiola

Alex Mcleish NONONONONO
Gordon Strachan = Scotland job
Owen Coyle - Used to be quality but obviously didn't know what to do with Bolton in the Champ.
Not Mark Hughes, he's terrible. - Soiled goods.
Roy Keane, - risky
Steve Kean - soiled goods.
And Alan Shearer - that would be an interesting one.

Strachen's rubbish 2. Wouldnt want him. Dont you remember his stint at Coventry? He's clueless..

TRANSFER NEWS:
Rumours this week are linking Leigh Griffiths with a January move to premier league Norwich.

Should be a good fee then.

3million at most

28 Nov 2012 16:21:32
Can't believe some people are calling the championship a 'rubbish league'. When we won it in 2009 people weren't calling it rubbish then. I think it's 18 teams or something in the championship who have been in the prem. We don't have a god given right to go straight back up, Blackburn and Bolton are hardly setting the world on fire are they? I'm not saying everything is great because we obviously need to see some big improvements. Hopefully the board will back stale in jan and let him bring in some more players because the ones he has signed so far have looked good. UTW

H.Wolf

I honestly think any manager deserves longer than this but i just can't see Stale making it to January. We haven't gone on this run because of bad luck we are loosing week in week out deservedly so and football is a results driven business. Morgan waited a minimum of 6 months too long to sack Mick and i can't see him waiting that long again. The only problem is he has employed 2 managers so far and they have been the 2 worst so far in living memory and yes i am aware Stale could well turn it round and make that comment look stupid. There is no evidence though from anything we have seen so far to suggest he can. So to believe so is just hoping without any logical foundation.

Nail + head.

Yes, the new players are really very good. The old players (apart from Foley and maybe Doyle) are the problem. It's the same defence that let us down last year and outfield players that were mainly subs (SEB, Ward, Davies, Edwards).

It's too early to tell with Stale. The first few games looked rather promising but then the new signings started falling. A few more signings like these (January?) and we'll be singing again.

28 Nov 2012 16:05:15
Can't believe some fans still backing Stale and blaming players. The buck stops with the manager and 80% of a football teams success is down to the coach/manager. He inherited players good enough for this league and had a few million to spend on his own so it's up to him to coach/manage those players and 18th in this league with no wins from 9 is very very poor. If i could see some progression and the odd win and good performance then i would say give him a chance but sorry he needs to go now to give a new manager a chance of keeping us up. Stone Wolf.

Our "senior" players are Bigshots now they have played 3 seasons in the Prem & having half your squad with their heads in the clouds isnt good!!

80%?!?! He can't get out there and play himself. I think too much is blamed on managers these days. Footballers are exempted from society because they earn ridiculous amounts and get ridiculous special treatment. Now they know that the worst that can happen if they play badly, is that they might not start on a Sunday, and that maybe their boss might get the sack. No wonder most footballers are terrible people.

Yes the buck stops with the manager. But he's still constrained by a bunch of players I'm sure he'd rather replace. Depending on your starting point, we might say we're lucky to have 22 points, and Stale is a genius.

Wolves did not deserve to loose last night

The first half i couldnt belive my eyes we were amazing. Look good attacking, defedning all over the park Doyle and siggy whos getting better ran riot of there defecne sako edwards davies and pennat looked good few silly bit but looked reli gd and back four look solid wards through balls and attaxcking was suoperb. Plues should have had tht penalty

Secound half they were sloppy yes but still betta than milwall we just made a sily mistake and they took there chnace!

the onli cricricim in the first half is we should have been getting on the end of these great attacking plays and scoring we should have been 2-3 up atleast!

secound half doyle, ward, davies, edwards all look nakerd and there performnces tht were so gd in first half played dire

but who could he replace them with?

Im not sure why he took pennant off i thought he was doing well

If we continue to pefrorm like the first half with a fully fit squad and possibly few additins in jan i fink we will be flying with S.S leading us there

M.B.

18th in a crap league?? How about the lucky points we got earlier in the season! It's not just about last night! Wakey Wakey! Paul Tamworth

Glad to see some positive comments about the 1st half. Couldn't see the game as working in the Caribbean; but back in Jan for the Blackburn game. Let's hope there is some activity in the Jan window.

Wow what game were you watching?

What game were you watching mate?!?! We were AWFUL, Ståle out!

What was wrong with the first half performance then?

Apprt from we dont have an inform striker to score which if we wud have had he would have slotted in 2-3 goals from are chances in the first half

I agreed with u the secound half was sloppy n having a good first half and not a gd secound half isnt good enough

but lets face it there not going to sak him and his two asssiantanst they brought in

so im just saying when we get a fully fit squad like pesko bourkari and o hara back,, possibly an inform strikcer, 2 defedncers and frimpong in january hopefully we cn play like we did in the first have for the whole agme every game and then well be flying

Stale out , Tamworth Paul in! he clearly knows more about football.

People going on blaming Stale and shouting for his sacking are not seeing the full picture.

We have been on a steep decline since the second season of the premiership. Firstly poor signings Ohara, Johnson, Hunt, (the icelandic Johnson) that belgium lad we had on loan, I could go on! The third season we did not invest enough on new players we invested on the stadium before we cemented ourselves in the premiership.

Name a player in the last five years who has become a first team regular from our youth system. Obviously that has been inadequate along with our transfer policies.

When we did eventully sack McCarthy (wrong time) we could'nt get a new manager! We then got TC and become even more of a laughing stock.

Finally we appoint an unproven manager in the English league's, do not give him enough money at the very start of his reign. We should have had at least seven or eight new signings not just three or four to replace our best players. Then to cap it off we have a paper thin squad and send others out on loan who may have done something off the bench because it is obviuos to anybody that any club suffers from injuries and players dip in and out of form. Who can SS turn to? We have no better players than the 15 he has to choose from.

The three main men to blame for this mess are the three M's not a man who has been in a job for three months with one hand tied behind his back! Only time will tell if he will be our saviour but do not make him the scapegoat - it is unfair

Listen guys...Stale is not gonna get the sack...get over it....It dont matter that we all want him sacked, m&m will not sack him until we are relegated again.... I for one hope he turns it round but with the current squad I cant see it...I also think most of the players should really be ashamed of themselves...If I performed that badly at my job, I would be sacked within a month...Most of them think they are premier players but realistly if I was manager of Hednesford Town or Telford I wouldnt even put them on the bench.....They are not fit to lace Bully`s boots......aaarrrrggggghhhh...
cannockwolves

The old guard are certainly not Premier quality, as you say. They were mostly subs in a team that finished as badly as any I can recall - the only win coming against 10 men at QPR.

Sako might be Premier quality - too early to say. Tongo too. But the new players are certainly good enough to get us up there. Just not enough of them :-(

28 Nov 2012 14:22:40
No one is more disappointed than I am about the plight we are in, but calling for another sacking is not the answer. Micks dismissal and that of his backroom staff was correct but overdue and eventually mistimed. Stale needs time to radically overhaul the club. The buck stops with the players, we are unable to compete without Henry, but he is a liability, We have average players (excluding Sako ) who shouldn't be considered to have a long term future at the club .It was no great secret where we needed to improve the team but little was done in key areas. Youth needs to be given its chance. I for one would be happier in this position with players such as Nouble, Griffiths, Ishmael, Cassidy Batth etc given a chance, until January when we can get in some quality which I trust Stale has identified. Come on Board lets move on to a bright future, rebuilding for a sustained future not a yo yo existence.

With this guy in charge we don't get the YO! Let alone the chance of a YO YO existence! Paul Tamworth

How refreshing to see someone talking sense and not preaching doom and gloom. SS for the long haul and success - but it won't happen overnight

Pal do you think it is better to go up and down between the championship and premiership season after season . or build a club and team that can sustain a permanent successful place at the top end of the premiership. Who would you suggest as the man for that job be positive please.

With the 2M's in charge I will be gratefull to be a yo yo club! But we need a manager who can get us out of this league! Billy Davies Alex McCleish Owen Coyle, with the right money Curbishley Dimateo Hughes. All out of work and way way way better than Stale!! Paul Tamworth

So you want to be a yo-yo club then. There's ambition for you - NOT!

Nothin to do with ambition it's bein realistic! I could come on here and say lets get Mourinho in back him to the hilt and be top 4 in Prem season after season! What lookin at is gettin us back to the Prem on a budget that the 2 M's will support! That means gettin Stale out as he is clueless and gettin someone in who can get us promoted on a budget! Nothin to do with a lack of ambition just bein realistic! Paul Tamworth

28 Nov 2012 13:00:33
S.S. should NOT get the sack, I think we should be pointing the finger at our so called players, they need to have a good look at themselfs and do what they are paid to do instead of throwing their dummies out of their Prams cuz we don't like the Boss or Style of play, grow some and get on with it, we have to. P.J.

Partly agree P.J, there are a lot of players we need to get rid of. But in this crap league we should be better than 18th with the players we've got. The manager picks the team and decides formation and tactics! He is hopeless at all 3!! 19 games gone now, he has spent money and we are goin backwards! Get rid now so a new manager can see what he needs to bring in when the window opens! Paul Tamworth

Paul i agree with you mostly, but this is not a crap league. Its one of the hardest in the world and its so unpredictable. The big problem we have is we want to be a pretty team but this is an ugly league you can see that as soon as players such as pennant get on the ball, they cant do their thing because most of the time they get smashed and the ref don't care (DS on KD last night)

TDW

It is! Paul Tamworth
