I can't understand why we need to buy a striker we have one called Sasa but never gets a chance. There's still rumours we want Che Adams why he's not a goal scorer he's scored five for Southampton this season not exactly prolific is it give Sasa a chance. Its being reported West Ham and Fulham are interested in signing him on loanwhat do they see that GON doesn't can't work it out.

I'm confident that the club have their targets identified and we will know more when the window opens. Che Adams has been a constant in the press but the club have never indicated any interest. I would expect a bit of a left field purchase, someone we haven't given much thought about. Hobbs seems to know what he is doing so fingers crossed he finds us a player who fits the pattern of play GON prefers.

Maybe GON doesn't feel Sasa fits into the way he wants the team to play.

But the transfer window opens in a few days so I don't think Fabio and Sasa would be allowed to move on without a plan being in place.

Half way through the season, 25 points. Happy days! I was doubtful about GON when came in. Why would Bournemouth sack him if he was any good? But now it seems pretty clear their loss was our gain. The man is good. He might be excellent. My only real worry is if we sell Sa who will replace him? The man stops a lot of goals. Remember Bentley couldn’t hold down a spot in the Championship. He was woeful at West Ham.

Defender and a keeper would seem priority to me?

Striker and Winger for me, but whoever comes in should be able to 'hit the ground running'. Not ones for the future (yet anyway) as they seem to disappear into the ether. We get all the spin on how brilliant they are and then they either get loaned out to Grasshoppers or lower league side, never to be heard of again.
There are numerous examples current and past, but as an example does any remember a youngster we bought from somewhere like Oldham? I think he was a RB and all their fans were up in arms as we'd bought their star player. I can't remember his name or where he is now, but pretty sure he hasn't got into our first team.

To be honest Dek I think it's pretty clear that the problem with Sasa is he does not suit GONs system at all! Look at how our three front men are playing these days, chasing down cbs and snapping at their heels. Now look at Sasa, he's 6 foot 5 and mobility doesn't look like his strongest trait! We signed him when we were playing very different footy and I think that's all there is to it. I also don't especially rate Che Adams but there's no denying he fits the mould. He's very quick and chases the ball all day! I think most of the changes we'll be seeing over the next few windows will be to get players that actually suit GONs system and by the look of it he's decided that ain't Fabio or Sasa ?

Agreed BullysBoy II, Sasa is just too slow for our play. It's probably why Doyle doesn't play as many minutes aswell as he is quite slow.

That's a fair and interesting point on Doyle there Camo. Cause I've been crying our for him to start but you have point there, cause there's no getting away from the fact that both Lemina and (especially:) Gomes are constantly running! Have to say I like what GON is doing with these players! It's not always pretty but this team are FINALLY putting the yards in for their manager! Long may it continue! ?

Can't say that Adams is top of my list of strikers but for someone who can hit the ground running he fits the mould very well. He runs all day and knows and understands the Premier League. You never know bringing someone in from abroad if they can cope with the pace of the league at least we know Adams can.
Sasa unfortunately doesn't have the pace and also has the turning circle of the team bus. So I can understand why we are looking to move him on!
