Hi Wd, So now that Chelsea have only received a fine of £8m for breaches of FFP and then mid reporting figures, do you think this will this mean a change of stance from Wolves?
I take it the fear previously was that we didn’t know what the punishment would be but if it’s only a fine of say £5m would they feel it’s worth going over budget?

It's a different set of rules and numbers we are trying to deal with. We are dealing with Premier League rules. Chelsea fell foul of UEFA financial reporting rules for the period between 2012 and 2019. The new owners reported the club's failure to UEFA, not that it matters who made failures they were fined 10m Euros. In that period of course they won one Champions League and two Europa League trophies. You argue was it worth it, you'd have to say it was wouldn't you!
I'm pretty sure if we were to fall foul of Premier League profit and loss rules the hit would be far worse or at least that's what the club clearly fear but obviously don't know. Everton s case in the Autumn has worried them, not that we would be that bad I wouldn't have thought. I can understand why they are trying to avoid it what I find disgraceful is pulling this study out of the hat as though they have just noticed! They have conned JL his team, Matt Hobbs and his team but above all treated us the fans with contempt! But why should I be surprised. I for one didn't expect big spending this summer but maybe just two or three player to improve the squad. So much for that then! Jeff Shi has given everyone the mushroom treatment a heap of bulls**t.

Juventus only punishment for breaching ffp was to be banned from playing in europa conference.which they seemed pretty pleased with.

Take the fine out of the 47 million from Neves that would still leave a nice chunk to spend on desperately needed players. If things don’t change we are going down

I think they got fined €17m too Bux X

{Ed002's Note - You all need to stop discussing finances and FFP as it is getting really embarrassing.}

I'm struggling to understand why we are so doomed? Neves was the only nailed on starter we have lost so far, a lot of the players we have let go weren't even in JLs plans, Sasa hasn't had a chance up to yet, silva has been out and gained experience, gomes was getting as he settled into the team, lemina has been solid, nunes should have a big season and defensively we are the same minus Collins, Have a little faith people, yes we are a little light but I can't see us trying to have any cup runs, the focus will be the prem, we may flirt with relegation again but I think when all said is done we will be safe, just back the boys

Sorry Ed, know what you mean, you've tried your best over and over. Kingswinford totally agree and I'm abit more optimistic for mid table. I'm still hopeful we'll pull off the Scott and Creswell deals after podence and possibly RAN moved on. No matter what COYW

Come on Ed give them a break as no one understands what is going on. That's FFP rules or what Shi's finance team are actually up to.
Surely its fair game after all its a chat site?
Juxt out of curiosity are you the Everton fan? :-)

{Ed002's Note - It is embarrassing. I offered to explained and then told there was nothing I could teach the Wolves supporters about FFP or the finances - so that is no longer happening.}

For those that wish to know about ffp there is plenty available online to read plus the Premier League rule book can be downloaded.
