First time poster. Getting a bit worried as it seems we are becoming a bit of a selling club. It looks like they are selling the family silver. First Matt Doherty and now Diogo Jota. Will it be Ruben Neves next? No place in team for him against Sheffield United.

Thought those days were well and truly behind us, when players we’ve sold come back to play against us, Cav, Costa, Doc and now Jota, didn’t think “the project” was to become a feeder club for the big boys.

2 of the 3 we gave brought in are just kids. In fact at their ages we use to regard them as ones for the future. We have just sold 2 experienced senior internationals and replaced them with kids. What about buying a mature striker and midfielder not to mention a wingback.

My thoughts are Jota has been brilliant for us but did blow hot and cold in the last 2 premier league seasons.
We have the burst of form from neto we have Traore and podence and the wonder kid to gradually be molded into the first team.
Rwb or rb is priority but surely will be addressed.
I don't think selling jota is a bad of a thing to be of a major concern to our project.
Just my thoughts on it that's all.

Welcome Cheadle, more the merrier buddy. Just to say these days EVERY club is a selling club! If Bayern Munich can win the Champs League and still have to sell their best players then no clubs immune 👍.

The truth is that we have to sell to build with FFP standing firmly in our way. Who’d have thought we’d be in a position to sell 70 million worth of players and still have heaps of talent at our club. I’d expect a top quality wing back to come in soon.
