Rumours circulating were going for che Adams, not sure about him tbh.
Our form over the last 10 games is worrying, though I do think if fosun back GON and with a full pre season it could be an interesting season.
I predict Neto will be sold to give GON funds to strengthen the team, don't want to see Pedro go as he's our best player but he is injury prone so not sure we will get 60mil for him, let's all hope we do spend this summer or we could be in trouble.
JEFF SHI OUT!

Everyone seems so confident that Neto will be sold but who exactly will be willing to pay the £50m+ that we'd want for a player so injury prone? No one, that's who.

Agree Manurthys, I haven't understood for 3 seasons now why Shi is allowed to mismanage our Club!

3.) 20 May 2024
20 May 2024 09:45:30
How has he mismanaged the club? Are we in danger of breaching FFP like Everton and Forest did? Are we in massive debt like Villa, Palace, Fulham, Arsenal and Newcastle?

4.) 20 May 2024
20 May 2024 10:31:44
I fear Neto will leave for a cut price but with an appearance bonuses payment.

You always look on the negative with shi Rugeley.
You never look past that.
Accept what we have or forever be confused and hacked off.

6.) 20 May 2024
20 May 2024 12:07:37
Jas.not this again. You keep telling me the CEO is responsible for all things good and bad.
FFP a mega issue last year and
we are told we still have to be cautious this coming season.
So what are you now saying?

7.) 20 May 2024
20 May 2024 12:22:24
Phil, I love our Club.
It has been a brilliant season, we have now survived well in the end, 2 seasons running.
For us, to not just survive, but to thrive, we need decent leadership from the top.
If the odd fan does not see that, I am sorry.
On all Forums you will see the vast majority of fans say the same as myself.
If it is not a view you share, not a problem.
Seeing our Club do well is what we all want.

8.) 20 May 2024
20 May 2024 14:29:18
And Rugeley, all you ever bang on about is tge Fabio Silva signing which doesn't actually impact our financial situation as it falls outside of the 3 year period.

Remind me again who oversaw the Lemina, Gomes, Hwang, Dawson, AIT, Cunha signings. Why do you never mention the positives, only the negatives?

9.) 20 May 2024
20 May 2024 14:44:21
Alot of fans have blinkered views when things aren't going as well as they did a few seasons ago. Who brought us the good times then? Oh yea, duh. Sure the partings of some may have contributed to our dropping from those heights, but new faces are in place, we're not in financial concern and we're in a new position to move forwards again. Blaming Shi all the time is not a realistic observation. He's too quiet and generally keeps himself to himself to prevent misconceptions, maybe over so, but we can't keep anchoring down to it. What Fosun and Shi have given us as been some of the best football we've seen, how can that now be criticised over and over?

20 May 2024 14:51:34
Rugeley you're the odd one or two on this site.
Only you bang on about shi the same thing repeated for last 3 years.

I've been on other sites and are mostly moaners talking codswallop.
I've seen them sat by them at the match and why pay money to go and moan.
Stupid and annoying.
I see you as not one of them but don't you think I feel the same about our club.
Don't you think I'm frustrated that there's being no ground development, the way we made bad signings,
Covid the intense worry financially for all ofcworkd football, the long term injury for our star striker,
The introduction of VAR, the new ffp added rules.

It's common fans know better how to run a football.
But best part of 40 years we've hardly been in the top flight year om year of disappointment, now we are established top flight so that's good right?

Lastly you could see and acknowledge others like myself point of view about shi fosun the running of our club but you never do its black and white for you no middle ground that's my big issue.
As I feel I'm being told by you that what you say is the only actual way.
If it is then I make my own mind up.

I hear talk to locals (Wednesfield)they tell me it's
fosun not shi.
So there more to it.

Ps I'm not good at social media and apologise for my grammar and how I come across

I tried to be as nice and polite and proper genuine as I can.

The Shi Out thing is Shi Ite. He is doing a job that not many here would have any idea where to start.
Hobbs is dealing with the football side, Jeff is juggling the money.

12.) 20 May 2024
20 May 2024 17:02:58
Funnily enough, Wolves have been voted one of the better run clubs. As soon as we found out the financial issues, we dealt with them unlike at least 8 PL clubs.

13.) 20 May 2024
20 May 2024 18:25:44
To those questioning my lack of balance to how our Club is run.
Football: The Club is so lucky having now 2 great guys running the football side.
To progress, the Club has to find inward investment beyond just football revenue.
What that generates is not enough to progress.
Solution for many is a strong, well networked individual who can attract Sponsors/Investors required.
Unless those who critise, believe there is a different way to look at the way forward.

14.) 20 May 2024
20 May 2024 19:04:07
ps
Jas, totally share your views on Podence, a talented, but flawed player.
Also your separate thoughts on the squad make real sense.

I'll ask you the same question for the 3rd time then Rugeley. What would you do to get the investment in? You haven't answered on the previous occasions. I recall you said that most CEOs last 2 years and if they are failing, the company removes them. But when I pointed out that Fosun have actually promoted Shi to Chairman, you soon changed your tune. Likewise when I pointed out the amongst Shi disastrous record is growing the clubs value from £30m to £400m, you never had a reply. Or when he turned huge profits on MGW and Nunes, or before the financial turmoil, Jota etc. As you said. You've worked for big investment companies so you are better placed than anyone, including Guo, how to invest. I mean it's not like Guo started with nothing and now runs a company worth billions of £s.

Jas, I anm sorry you have to adopt such an aggressive tone. I have tried to look at things where we share the same views and move on as this is one we are at variance.
However.
Inward Investment: One example to consider, reduce shareholding as other Clubs like Man. City and Spurs have done
Club Value, while in the Championship it was the initial £30m, plus a reported £15miliion when promoted.
Once in the Premiership clearly, like all Clubs, it moves up significantly. Dalrymple was in charge the Promotion season
Totally agree, there have been some good transfers out but as you know, more poor ones in.
If you refuse to ignore my responses, it become a pointless discussion.
Let's both hope for a positive transfer window this summer.

20 May 2024 22:53:00
Rugeley, it's clear that we will not see eye to eye on this. Again, you've got your facts wrong. Jeff Shi was installed as CEO by Fosun. Jeff Shi then installed Darylmple as MD.

You still haven't answered the question regarding how to generate additional funds. What does 'reduce shareholding' mean? Please excuse my ignorance as I'm not from the financial world.

Are you honestly suggesting that we have made more poor signings than good ones?

We both want the best for the club but see things very differently.

Sorry if you think I'm being aggressive, that honestly isn't my intention.

I will no longer allow myself to comment on your posts as you deem us to be in battle with each other.

Gents this has become somewhat academic for a number of reasons but the main one being none of us on here will EVER really know how much input Shi has. Does he make the decision or just sign the cheque because that will come down to the clubs structure.
I actually think you guys are getting stuck on the wrong debate/question anyway. For me the bigger (more important) question is are the guys now making the decisions finding the right players? Cause last season we signed Bellegarde, Doyle, Bueno and Doherty (with a few other small/development signings along the way). Now of the four mentioned so far (to me) only one looks like he can hold down a regular place and that's Doyle! In fact the only window we've had were we signed multiple first team players was when Lope was here. The Shi argument is just going round in circles now, but for the me the REAL question should be have our signings/deals been good enough since Lope left? We are all going to find out this summer but it's all well and good signing cheaper players but doesn't mean a lot if they aren't up to pushing for the first team!

19.) 21 May 2024
21 May 2024 06:01:07
Bellegarde looked good until he got injured. The last few games he looked OK and with a full pre season. I think he'll do well. Doyle we all know is good. In my opinion, S Bueno looks good. He wasn't given a chance when Dawson was fit but to me, he looks better and more assured that both Toti and Kilman. Next season, I think he'll excel playing alongside Dawson and another CB.

Morning Bully (thanks for your moderation) and Jas, like both your thoughts on players.
Jas, one final, final point on the Club's stewardship:
To answer your question: "What does 'reduce shareholding' mean?"
Probably a good recent example is Man. U:
December 24, 2023: Sir Jim Ratcliffe acquires 25 per cent of Man Utd for a reported £1.2billion from the Glaziers.
So that is what I mean by reducing shareholding and generating inward investment.
Another way would be decent global brand sponsorships.
Again using Man. U. as an example:
"Manchester United‘s total sponsorship revenue for the 2023/24 season is over $332.5m, with the biggest single investment coming from adidas, which is an agreement valued at $128.44m per year."
Source: Sky Sports.
Jas, not pretending Wolves are in that league, but there are opportunities there we are not addressing.
Anyway, that aside, enjoy the summer and let's hope for a good transfer window.

Rugeley needs to see that he is listened to always and he should do the same but rarely does.

Jeez you hard work Rugeley way too much for a simple wolves nut like myself.

Hope Rugeley you get what you want someday from our club.

The way you are you seem so unhappy with wolves.
Maybe if you look at other areas of our club it may help to give you a break from your extreme angst against Shi.

22.) 21 May 2024
21 May 2024 07:29:09
Phil, Jas and I on the footballing side seem to share the same views.
We also both what is best for the Club.
To help us move forward I have highlighted many times how I see that happening.
If others feel we can progress with a different approach, that is fine.
This is a site to exchange views.
You have a great summer and here's hoping to a great season next year!

You have good summer too.
All the best Rugeley.

Dawson isn't going to go on for any period of time at his age and was purchased to bring experience to the defence which he did until his injury. Doherty was probably signed as a squad player at his age as well. So I would say the better comparison is Bellegarde, Bueno and Doyle.
