Should Cunha go straight back into the team next Sunday or be a sub.
My thoughts are on the bench.
1.) 06 Apr 2025 22:09:06
Bench. We play better without him because we play as a team. With him, maybe Neto and some extent Neves we always had to give them the ball so they could try to make things happen. It often slows down our play in my opinion.
He will go in the summer so I would prefer to give others a chance that we will be playing with next season.
2.) 07 Apr 2025 00:14:09
We're doing fine without him. His repeated antics were unacceptable.
He's going anyway, so let's carry on without him and cash in when the summer window opens.
3.) 07 Apr 2025 05:42:16
Gave this abit of thought yesterday waggy and I decided no. He's going to be going and we've done the job in his self created absence.
I'd love to take 3 points off spurs but then one man doesn't make a team, and that's what we've shown without him, we've all put in the effort and as pointed out by Vab we don't need his presence, or on occasion hissy fit, to break the spirit. Place him on the bench and only use him if in dire need.
4.) 07 Apr 2025 07:17:41
Morning all.
Yesterday I kicked off the debate re Cunha playing from the off or on the bench. My initial thought was on the bench however, if he is not playing could this effect his sale value?with teams trying to offer less than his release clause.
5.) 07 Apr 2025 08:37:20
I agree Waggy, keep him in the shop window.
6.) 07 Apr 2025 09:22:52
Regarding the Cuhna debate. It's the bench for me to replace either Hwang or Guedes who I hope we can sell in the summer. I would dearly love to beat spurs this weekend because that's the second time from memory they've hijacked a player transfer from us and if it meant Cuhna to come on and score the winner then great. It's a win-win. 3 points for us and Cuhna's value increases. Most of all though it would be fantastic to overtake WHU who are IMO totally overrated. I'm informed by those amongst us that understand the financial affairs far better than I do that both are well run clubs. That maybe true off the field, but certainly not on it as their league position indicates.
7.) 07 Apr 2025 09:47:36
Don’t think Cunha, s value will go up much as his release clause is 62.5 million unless many clubs are in for him and an auction begins.
8.) 07 Apr 2025 10:22:21
For me I’d keep him on the bench and use him sparingly in games second half (if needed). This will keep his value up but more importantly reduce any chance of injury and ruining our chances of cashing in big money.
9.) 07 Apr 2025 11:19:26
At the moment, the bench, no need to change a winning dude.
10.) 07 Apr 2025 12:57:35
Side!
03 Apr 2025 07:34:26
Well, that was a shock result re Ipswich last night.
Next game is now definitely a must not lose.
I think we need to inject some more pace into our forward line. What's happened to Guedes and R Gomez?
Also no VP or assistant available against Ipswich so senior players like Doc and Semado need to be the guys to get Vitor's message across during the match.Could be a very tough game.?
Any thoughts?
1.) 03 Apr 2025 07:51:55
Yes, a wake up call waggywolf.
As long as we carry on doing what we’re doing all should be well ?
2.) 03 Apr 2025 09:20:20
We know that for Ipswich it is a must win. I guess they will come at us from the off for that early score and to raise the crowd. No doubt VP will plan accordingly, but it will be a twitchy bum day.
3.) 03 Apr 2025 09:27:13
Football has a habit of kicking u where it hurts, it’s certainly not over until mathematically we cannot be caught, the fight for points goes on.
4.) 03 Apr 2025 10:32:43
It's in our hands guys. It's certainly a game Ipswich can't afford to lose with Chelsea and Arsenal coming up next for them. No game is easy but I'm looking up and hoping we can get in amongst the three teams above us on 34 points.
5.) 03 Apr 2025 10:35:17
Since the beginning of Feb we've won 4 out of 7 Prem matches, also (now) equaylling the amount of wins that Ipswich have managed ALL season! They will be FAR more worried about playing us because the only team this wkend that MUST win is Ipswich and they will be VERY aware of that! I can't see them winning to be honest, bring um on I say! COYW ?
6.) 03 Apr 2025 11:34:55
It will go down to the last day
7.) 03 Apr 2025 12:45:52
Hope not QS
8.) 03 Apr 2025 15:10:37
After us, Ipswich have to play: Arsenal, Chelsea, Brentford, Newcastle, Everton, West Ham and Leicester.
They'll get 7 points at best added to the 3 if they beat us. Therefore we need 2 points for safety. Surely we'll manage that.
9.) 03 Apr 2025 19:21:04
We have 8 games left. Basically a 4 game cushion due to our superior goal difference. Take those games away and realistically I think winning another 3 games out of those 8 will be more than enough. I don’t see the weekend as a must win for us, it’s a must win for them as all their 8 games are. We have a big cushion and yes we are not safe at all, but I would rather have a 9 point cushion right now. We are playing well, and are conceding a lot less goals. We can win on the weekend.
10.) 03 Apr 2025 20:32:56
I can't see any problems. If we lose, there will be still be a healthy gap between us and the bottom three. Forthcoming fixtures are favourable. I am still more concerned about catching the teams above us. Relax.
11.) 04 Apr 2025 08:01:48
There's potential for them to get a fair few more than you say from that lot Wandering so the attitude we've seen of late has got to continue.
21 Mar 2025 18:48:38
Probably better that he doesn't play at Ipswich.
The tractor boys team will be at him all the time especially Delap, plus the crowd and the man in glasses ?
08 Mar 2025 08:06:00
Millwall goalie gets additional 3 game ban for horrendous challenge on Mateta, as for Cunha, maybe an extra 2.
My original thoughts on the Cunha ban was more than 5 however my revised thoughts are now 5.
Cannot be the same or more as the Millwall guy! But you never now with the FA who would probably like to see us out of the prem
Any thoughts?
1.) 08 Mar 2025 11:45:42
In all fairness wagggy, cunhas actions were deliberate and whilst the Millwall keeper was reckless and dangerous I don't think it was intended. Cunha also has his behaviour after the ipswich game hanging over his head. I think we might be deprived of him for more than 5.
2.) 08 Mar 2025 12:23:06
This is where football and the outside world don't make sense. Cunha was petulant and just handbags; he would get a warning and told to move on. The Millwall keeper would be up on at least on Actual Bodily Harm charge, possibly even attempted murder. But Cunha is more media worthy so I'm sure they'll make an example out of him and give him the extra 2 games on top of the 3.
3.) 08 Mar 2025 12:29:14
Cunha was leniently treated after the Ipswich match, laughably because he replaced the spectacles he broke. There will be no such leniency this time, but on the other hand, it wasn't a kung-fu kick!
For football's answer to the Malice at the Palace, Eric Cantona was banned for nine months, given a two-week prison term—reduced to community service—and, rightly or wrongly, enshrined as a cult hero. The supporter, Matthew Simmons, denied the abuse was racist, but he was banned from all football grounds for 12 months, charged with and found guilty of using threatening language and behaviour, then attacked the prosecution counsel at his trial
4.) 08 Mar 2025 14:56:05
You can’t compare any of these cases. Cantona jumped over the advertising boards to physically kick a paying spectator, the palace lad received 25 stitches on the cut by his ear, Cunha made a movement with his head towards the Bournemouth player- yes, totally wrong, but no hard contact. People saying he will get a longer ban because of where he plays? Do you really believe the FA will make new rulings up, or break their currant system, just because a player plays for WWFC? This conspiracy theory is getting out of hand
5.) 08 Mar 2025 16:29:14
Cunha will get a longer ban in my view because he was dealt with very leniently against Ipswich and didn't learn his lesson. He did more than make a movement with his head towards the Bournemouth player. It's nothing to do with him playing for Wolves, it's 100% about Cunha's serious loss of control, for the second time. When he can play again every opposing player will try and wind him up and get him sent off. He should use his enforced break well and take an anger management course.
01 Mar 2025 20:26:16
Reckon Cunha ban could amount to 7 games. 3 for the straight red plus 4 for previous behavior.
1.) 01 Mar 2025 20:46:16
Don't think they can add on extra games for previous behaviour.
2.) 01 Mar 2025 22:09:40
I think it will be just 3. If he had not been sent off or given a yellow then they could have done retrospective review but I think as it’s a straight red it will just be 3 games. Time for the rest of the squad to step up.
3.) 02 Mar 2025 03:31:20
It'll be at least 4 as second suspension in a season.
4.) 02 Mar 2025 09:41:35
Cunha didn’t look happy all game, didn’t even celebrate his wonder goal and looked disinterested, VP did say he was playing with a hamstring injury for 3 wks, did this upset him as he played and maybe expected to be rested, either way, unforgivable for his actions and could cost us big time .
5.) 02 Mar 2025 11:29:49
You're right Wolvo, it could be the difference between staying up or going down.
6.) 02 Mar 2025 12:05:43
TBH I don't believe this BS of Cuhna playing with a hamstring injury. It's VP putting a spin on it. Can't see how you can say one week to respect your body then play somebody who's injured. It's just trying to make an excuse for his stupid behaviour.
7.) 02 Mar 2025 12:39:32
Totally irresponsible petulance. His lack of discipline could cost us our Premiership position. Ipswich and Leicester have received a real boost. His blow hot blow cold record on the pitch is no longer welcome, problem is that his behaviour may also scare of potential purchasers at the release level.
8.) 02 Mar 2025 16:11:34
Agree Bla kfords 2 hours with a hamstring injury!

Good morning Lost City.
Positive forecast for today's result re Ipswich. Do you think it will be the same result when we play them again on Saturday? ????
31 Mar 2025 07:37:37
Cunha- "I want to fight for titles".
Fight seems to be the operative word!
How many games banned for disgraceful behavior?
A great servant to the club - really!
Not sure about that statement FcWolves

Hi Abbey.
Lets hope the Bournemouth Man city games doesn't go to extra time as both have games next week where they can do us a favour.
It seems the Bournemouth manager prefers a cup win than a place in Europe. If they beat Man C then maybe they won't concentrate so much on winning against Ipswich however, if they lose to Man C then they will only have Europe to concentrate on.
Just a thought!
05 Mar 2025 21:49:23
No Abbey, 3 match ban starts immediately then more to follow after the FA hearing.
