Laurie Dalrymple has had his contract ended and been placed on garden leave with immediate effect. That is one very massive and sudden change at the top of the Wolves hierarchy. All a bit worrying (not being doom and gloom) .

Something must of happened for this to happen.

2.) 10 Jul 2019 17:14:01
That's very sudden!

Financial ‘indiscretion’? Romantic ‘indiscretion’? Been tapped up by another club?

Am shocked tbh as thought he was part of the way forward and after that a***hole Moxey was a breath of fresh air.

I think he's done a good job for us, seems all is not as well within the club as we thought. Concerning news, something must have happened.

Maybe Laurie said he didn’t want Diego Costa and Shi told him to **** off.

Must be because he told OllieH1609's mate insider information. See below post.

Anyone else wondering which strikers are still unattached? I found transfermarkt site which lists them all.

How about Cheick Diabate? Or Ricky Lambert, Chamakh?

Well, he doesn't have a squad number so I doubt he'll be sticking around for long.

@old-wulf, that's the first time I've heard that one. Hi ho Fabio Silva has got one hell of a ring to it. He's going to have to be some player to earn the walk out song being sung about him, but I've got goosebumps thinking about it.

. hopefully he doesn't end up as a Tomasz Frankowski!

@Deep Throat, definitely! I think every single fan was screaming for Costa to be signed up at the time - the guy was our single best player that year. Sadly, as happens so many times, injuries / manager changes / confidence and all sort of other variable just went against him. Time to move on. He'll be a great player for many more teams I'm sure and wish him the best. I respect that about Nuno, if he doesn't think a player is right, out they go. No time for sentiment or misplaced loyalty.

Costa's loan was made permanent in the January after he joined on loan in the summer. Paul Lambert was our manager at the time.

Strong, technical, aggressive and fits the way we play. He fell out with Farke very early at Norwich and never seemed to want to play for them. Scored a few goals for them before it all went wrong though, I think.

I'm not 100% convinced by his attitude and a touch concerned, but if Nuno reckons he can work within this squad then I'll go with it.

Potence looks like a tidy little (very little) player, too. Quite excited by him.
