When do we get the Man City enquiry result/ points deduction results?
This outcome would surely assist all teams, especially in the relegation zone, in making necessary decisions regarding the transfer market during January.
Will it be only 2 relegated plus Man City - or a slap on the wrist and bottom 3 teams relegated?

They've got to know how many points to leave them for guaranteed prem status next year troyboy. We've just got to keep the points tally as high as we can.

Hi. Regarding. Fosun Group - I believe the FG will sell Wolverhampton Wanderers. They also bought properties land and-space surrounding Molineux . If this be the case, then the Fosun Goup can sell off Wolves at any time for in the region of £200 million . The group probably through different companies will make a very quick £ 160million From the original buying of £40 million without having to sell a player because they own Molineux and the land around it. Please correct me if I am wrong, but that is where I believe the Fosun Project .

Is heading. However, the fact is that that Wolves are only part of the whole Fosun Group scenario in Wolverhampton.
I am absolutely certain that progress is evolving in relation to the Wolverhampton Wanderers football team and possibly the ground Molineux being sold off and a high-profile manager taking over the reins at Wolves.

Come January 1st it could be a different situation - though Fosun may still be the landlords of Molineux and surrounding areas.

Correct me if I'm wrong troyboy but isn't the mol owned by the council and have a lease? I'm not from Wolverhampton but that was my understanding, so if true your estimates would be way off.
I do however feel in myself that fosun are gearing themselves for a departure.

2.) 10 Dec 2024 19:36:59
What about the money they spent on the ground, Premier standard pitch, rail seating, big screens, extension to Compton and the investment of league standard pitches there.

Even as a mid table or slightly higher Wolves as a Premier League club would be worth circa £450-500M, so for that reason alone I can't see Fosun selling Wolves right now. It wouldn't make sense, if anything they may see the error of their ways and let the club go the opposite way, recruit defenders in January and keep GON until a more experienced manager is appointed to get the nose up, if they can find one in time.

After the club was back on track that would be the time to sell it.

3.) 10 Dec 2024 19:38:57
Agreed I think they're due to sell us off. My guess is that's why they bought those shares back. Makes it more attractive for a potential buyer if they buy 100% of the club. I don't dislike GON, just don't think he's ready for a PL club yet!
I'm starting to dislike Fosun though now. We've had some great times with them as owners, but if they're not interested in us anymore I wish they'd just come out and say it. Put us up For Sale. At least we'd know where we stand.

4.) 10 Dec 2024 19:51:58
I did feel a couple of months ago that all was lining up for Fosun to sell. I think the major factor is that they underestimated how difficult it is to build a long term successful business out of a football club. They have discovered that it is unlike other businesses, it rarely creates lasting investment return. Their whole portfolio is based on creating returns and then possibly selling on, both for great profit. With the introduction of FFP their ability to grow the business is limited, same has happened at Newcastle. We are no longer core business and they are likely to offload to cut their losses and to save management time which could be re-used elsewhere in their group.

5.) 10 Dec 2024 20:51:56
I think you have hit the nail on the head Wimborne. Fosun knows that even if we are relegated by selling our best players they can make a return on their investment.

6.) 10 Dec 2024 20:57:53
Sorry gents but I just don't see anything that indicates they are gearing up for a sale?! For a start it would be a long drawn out process and second it would (usually) mean a transfer embargo for said process and as they've already said they want to reinforce ASAP in Jan then how do those two things marry together?
Then there's the replacing GON with a high profile manager, why then give Gary a 4 year contract not even 6 months ago?! Like Long says I'm afraid that none of Fosuns recent actions point towards a sale.
I desperately hope I am wrong but I can't help but feel that this is just wishful thinking? Especially as there has been absolutely no suggestion by anyone at the club that they are even considering such a move?! It can often take years for a club to find a decent buyer so not sure why they'd be lining up for an umprofitable club, currently near bottom of the league, with a squad that needs serious investment and a stadium which has been ignored for the best part of a decade?! Investors please form an orderly cue eh! ??

7.) 10 Dec 2024 21:40:02
Abbey the council own the land not the stadium that stands on it. This goes back to the days when the club was rescued from administration, to protect the ground from developers.

When Fosun took over the council gave them a 99 year lease to help Steve Morgan close the deal. Fosun own everything else.

8.) 10 Dec 2024 22:02:41
Problem is Bully we are never likely to be profitable, which does not fit Fosun's profile. At one stage they were happy to invest to raise our profile whilst achieving some success. When FFP tied their hands, the only way forward was to develop players for profit, but this has not gone well and without a big profile income is sparse. I agree it will be difficult to attract a buyer, but they may still pursue that outcome to cut future losses. As you rightly say they have not improved the stadium, which is something they could have done, which does question commitment. If there was a sale being considered, which I have no evidence to suggest is happening, I doubt we would know anything, which is Fosun's way. Whatever does or does not happen, I still believe we have ceased being a business for Fosun's long term interest.

9.) 10 Dec 2024 22:23:28
Ps- also just to Black buddy, we didn't buy back shares the company that bought them had a break clause in the contract with an option for us to take them back and they took up said option at the first opportunity! It wasn't so much about Fosun taking shares back but more the investors running at the very first chance! Which again I'm sure will have the next investors just lining up eh! ??

10.) 10 Dec 2024 23:05:52
I am not from Wolverhampton just an 80 year old follower of the Old Gold since 1950. when I bought my first Ford Capri it was the real old gold colour with black roof. Good days . I am certain I listened to the the Wolves - Honved game on the wireless - Does anyone know for sure what other propertiy / land interests Fosun have in their portfolio surrounding Molineux -

11.) 11 Dec 2024 06:44:57
In terms of Ground Ownership:
Back in 2010, the city council agreed to extend the lease to 999 years from 125 years.
Also Morgan bought Peal House, the former Carillion building on the corner of Waterloo Road.
The idea was Morgan committed to spend £40million on the stadium and building a hotel and conference facilities.
Future:
We are all frustrated with the lack of communication and clarity on the owner's plans for the Club.
I guess from Mr Guangchang's point of view, we are a small part of their empire and not that significant.
My view is, however unimportant we are to their business, it is important to the fan base they provide clarity and if they are staying, put in some proper Leadership and replace the "administrator".

12.) 11 Dec 2024 06:47:24
Longmynd thanks for the clarification, and apologies troyboy, I didn't read your initial post fully and only read molineux and the land.

13.) 11 Dec 2024 10:33:27
My apologies Abbey for my typo that should have said 999 years as Rugeley correctly stated, pretty much putting an end to any concerns over the lease life, etc.

I think I've worn my keyboard out, lol.

Please can someone explain to me what is actually meant by a PROJECT in football Terms. i have been a Wolf since late 40s and until foreign investment and managers appeared on the scene this word PROJECT was not used in football terminology.

The game is still the same - max 11 players on each side on the pitch a the same time. Two sets of goal posts with a net attached to prove the ball is inside the net .
The ultimate aim was to score more goals than the opposing team and therefore win the game.

From the first kick of the season the aim 1/to win as many games as possible
2/ play the best players available in their true positions at the same time considering opponents systems / strategies / Plan - Prepare - Practice- Perform
Managers Projects. MPs - Enough said.

1.) 07 Dec 2024 18:23:53
True enough TroyBoy but now there's more of a business element to contend with as well so in comes business terminology, words like project, investment, growth, etc. Sad really.

2.) 07 Dec 2024 18:59:19
Sorry sent early, these days owners buy clubs to develop them both in terms of performance and therefore financial benefits. Fosun bought Wolves while in the Championship for £40M, we could be or should be now worth £500M as a Premier League club if you disregard our current situation.

Fosun's initial 'Project' was to get Wolves into the Prem and competing in Europe in a 60, 000 seater stadium. That didn't last long as the cost realities became apparent and then the impact of Covid killed off what was left. Now the project seems to be, survive in the bottom half of the Premier League while spending as little as possible.

Have to agree with you Hednesford - been supporting Wolves since 1950 and we have seen the good, bad and ugly but today put us to shame - The club captain scoring a great goal and then, — I have no words to express my feelings.
Whatever happens to Cunha will only strengthen our resolve and with the manager that we have now I am certain we will stay in the Premier.
As for Mr Cunha I believe we should heavily fine him for his previous behaviour and what has happened today for tarnishing the name and the colours of our great club - I suggest somewhere in the region £ 6, 000, 000, to be paid directly to the club when he is booted out (transferred) before another club takes responsibility for his actions.

A big well done to Kevin Danso agents - it has set up him for the future. A great upsell considering he was not over enthusiastic about joining Wolves or any other club that was considering dipping their toes into the water. Not sure if he had a free flight courtesy of Mr Shi thrown into the deal ✈️

As a supporter of the wolves since 1959, an independent self-employed small businessman 1970 I always remember a particular successful business person, passing me some advice -And this is for all those terrific followers, go to Molineux week in week out throughout that period I know God, please remember this phrase. - If the customers keep paying then the company will keep playing - I trust you’ll see the positive side, and hopefully you have a cracking three days ahead of us
