Move for Morgan Sanson is popping up again.

Think he would be great competition for that midfield.

1.) 09 Jun 2019 21:46:13
it be nice if we can get Hiring Lozano to join the club.

{Ed002's Note - Not going to happen.}

2.) 10 Jun 2019 09:11:36
Sanson apparently in talks with West Ham.

3.) 10 Jun 2019 11:00:37
Lozano would be an amazing signing. I imagine he will end up at a Champions League club. But you never know.

As for Sanson it wouldn't surprise me West Ham are constantly linked with the players we are.

Andre Gomes would be just as good of a signing for my money.

21 May 2019 09:38:50
This one seems quite new linked to us. Harry Wilson on loan at Derby atm. He's had a cracking season with them. Looked absolute class every time I watched him. I think he's good enough to play more centrally too. Not just a winger. Might be nothing in it.
I'd definitely take him. 25 mil steep though.

1.) 21 May 2019 20:16:51
Not good enough, need to sign proven top class players.

2.) 22 May 2019 06:19:52
He could easily turn into a top class player under Nuno.

Who would you sign?

3.) 22 May 2019 11:00:11
Diogo Jota. Raul Jiminez. Willy Boly. Ryan Bennett. Conor Coady. Matt Doherty. Ruben Vinagre.

A list of players who were no proven top class players when signed.

4.) 22 May 2019 12:51:05
Same old nonsense. People think we’re Man City and we can sign Messi and Bale no probs and they think because we have abit of cash now too we don’t need to develop young kids and give them their chance we can just buy the finished article. This is something we should be proud of giving these young players game time developing their skills, improving them. All those names above and the youth we’ve promoted is testament to that.

5.) 22 May 2019 12:55:40
Agreed Wolvesayewe some have been playing too much fifa.

6.) 22 May 2019 13:41:40
@Wolvesaywe James Madison and Jamie Vardy are two good examples as well as Matt Jarvis and Michael Kightly.

7.) 22 May 2019 17:37:23
Question is - how much will we spend and do we want to compete for 3rd or 4th or spend less and compete for 5th or 6th?
What Wolves are aiming for is very important in deciding the correct approach.
I think Nuno is trying to keep the expectations low because he has been released from other jobs because he did not meet the high expectations of upper management.

8.) 22 May 2019 21:29:29
Tbf guys we can sign players make the squad bigger ovbs will still be small compared to most compete in premier league and Europa league but try and win the Europa league so sd can get CL football 🤷🏻‍♂️.

9.) 23 May 2019 10:12:42
TimmyT I don't get your logic mate?
At the start of the season our goals will be the same as every other club - to win the league and to win at least two cups.
The amount of money we, or others spend, doesn't guarantee a league position and certainly doesn't assume a desire. Look at Spurs last year when they spend nothing and the or fans feared what would happen to them - they finished 4th and are in the European Cup Final (no higher level for a club team) .
For me, it's not about the value of players anymore - the transfer market is bonkers - it is more about the type of player that is recruited and what we know, with sound evidence, is that Nuno and Forum have got a lot more right than wrong so far.
Here's to an interesting window but let's not get caught up in the (game box) attitude of comparing values.

10.) 23 May 2019 16:29:14
Some salient points, exeter, but also there's absolutely no point in aiming for 5th or 6th as it only gets you into the Europa League, status we've achieved already. You've just got to take it game by game and accumulate as many points as possible and as fans we can just, dream, dream dream with the knowledge that we've become one of the very few buying clubs out there. No one will be leaving unless Fosun deem it right and left field acquisitions will be secured you can bet your bottom dollar. In the meantime, Kharkov here we come.

01 Apr 2019 20:39:03
Lot of links with Morgan Sanson CM from Marseille. Now we are talking. Bags of class.

24 Mar 2019 18:44:30
Rumour we are looking at Gedson Fernandez 19yo Benfica CM. Looks like a quality prospect and something that could be a lot more likely than those Joao Felix stories.

1.) 26 Mar 2019 00:16:24
Just the media stirring again. They're saying Fernandes is a replacement for Neves. The press need to realise that Steve Morgan no longer runs our club so players will not be sold so easily. Fosun have massive plans to make us a major force both here and in Europe and Neves will not be sold.

2.) 26 Mar 2019 21:49:34
Seems daft the media think we must need to replace players. Certainly not our best. Neves will earn himself a massive move in the next few years if he wants it. Then again might just realise he is sitting on the winning ticket with us. Aside any decent additions in midfield make sense. Good strong runner box to box style. Another string to an already amazing middle of the park.

3.) 27 Mar 2019 09:22:00
The article that makes me smile because it is so delusional is that Benitez has been put on high alert to the form of Connor Cody. He will solve Newcastle Central defensive issues!
Beggars belief.

4.) 28 Mar 2019 18:21:42
Is anyone going to get a Watford ticket and would it be safe to go? i.e. has anyone done it before?

5.) 29 Mar 2019 10:25:08
Seems to be what the FA want fans to do Humphy, let thousands of tickets go to agencies instead of genuine football fans, who do they think are going to buy ‘em, with so many Wolves fans left disappointed don’t think you would be in a minority.

6.) 29 Mar 2019 14:38:49
Loads of Wolves fans with Half and Half scalfs?

7.) 29 Mar 2019 17:03:26
Just sit on yours everytime we score 😎.

8.) 30 Mar 2019 14:02:31
He won’t be a replacement for neves he will replace Moutinho he will learn from him till Moutinho retires or leaves and then he will partner neves in middle.

04 Nov 2018 21:38:32
Lot of links with Kemar Roofe in the last 24hrs.

1.) 06 Nov 2018 10:15:54
please no.

2.) 06 Nov 2018 17:05:04
Leeds are likely to want silly money for himand I am not convinced he will make the step up. I'd much rather see Ennis and/ or Ashley-Seal get a go.

3.) 06 Nov 2018 18:24:48
It was Origi last week.

4.) 08 Nov 2018 22:23:17
Tyler Roberts of Leeds is best option.

Anyone we fancy from Fulham or Huddersfield then lol?

1.) 02 Apr 2019 23:01:58
Not really, but Billings and Mitrovic may be good squad players.

2.) 03 Apr 2019 10:05:42
Possibly Pritchard but I think Huddersfield would want silly money.

3.) 03 Apr 2019 18:20:50
If it were not for poor results against the lower teams we would be in the top six!

31 Oct 2018 19:08:57
This Amadou Diawara kid we have been linked with is something special. Has all the tools to be a top top player.

Would be an incredible signing for the future in our midfield. And for now. He's got the lot.

Watched him a few times and against city last season he looked so comfortable on the ball.

09 Aug 2018 16:45:25
Nothing on the wing back front.?

Guess we could still get a loanee

Can you still insert the obligation to buy after the window closes.

05 Aug 2018 07:41:49
Watched Saiss at the back yesterday. No way am I convinced nor anyone else.

I'd go as far as to say bringing in a top quality CB next week is what I'm hoping for most.

In all fairness i'd love Vida! Mina or Lindelof. Strength power and equally important in the prem pace.
Hope all those targets and any others bring what we need.

I don't think Bennett would let us down badly. Don't trust Saiss at all. Whatever he did in the world cup.

1.) 05 Aug 2018 10:08:38
Coady was the one caught ball-watching and losing his player. Fine with game in front of him but he struggles with balls played into the channel forcing him to turn. Doesn’t have the pace to recover these positions.

2.) 05 Aug 2018 11:47:02
I am not the type to bang on about us needing to bring in players

But i'm not going to lie, I would be disappointed if we go into our first season back in the Premier League with Boly/ Coady/ Bennett as our first choice back three, we definitely need another quality CB, with Ryan Benett as fourth choice.

Saiss is a perfectly servicable CM squad player for the Premier League along with Gibbs-White to add that impact sub option, we have plenty of attacking options with Jimenez, Bonatini, Jota, Costa and Cav

In my opinion Wolves need to drop any pursuit of Traore and with that £18m, buy a £10m CB and an £8m RWB to back up Doherty

The lack of cover for Doherty is worrying, if he gets injured we are stuffed - If I remember correctly, when he missed the Hull game last season we tried playing Afobe on RW and Cav on RWB and it was a total mess.

3.) 05 Aug 2018 14:18:04
Yes Cav (or was it Costa) covering RWB. We were fortunate that Doc didn't get injured and in fact rarely does. But he's not bulletproof.

Totally agree about defence. Hause and Batth not really what we need if we're going to secure the back line either. Iorfa is around somewhere too.

4.) 05 Aug 2018 14:32:27
I wouldn’t be surprised if Buur isn’t given more of a chance!

5.) 05 Aug 2018 15:30:57
Maybe Nuno should have concentrated more on allowing Saiss and Coady to form a working relationship rather than dick around and giving the other squad players and youngsters pre-season game time.

6.) 05 Aug 2018 16:43:46
Keep forgetting about Oskar. He likes to get forward - and score - so perhaps he could fill in for Doc.

7.) 05 Aug 2018 18:46:25
Timmy maybe you should be in charge instead of Nuno. I’m sure you’d last a whole 1 game before you were sacked! It’s pre season, it’s for dicking around and giving youngsters a go.

8.) 05 Aug 2018 21:24:41
I agree Manc but it did look as though there were positional understanding issues on Saturday which might be solved by training / gametime together. There was too much space between the 2 players and we couldn't cover quick balls played between them. I wouldn't write off the partnership between the 2 players just yet but I'm sure Nuno will have it sorted by next Saturday.

9.) 06 Aug 2018 02:18:08
Saiss joined pre-season training late because of being involved in the World Cup so what's Nuno supposed to do? Plus he plays left sided CB for Morocco, not right sided CB so unbalances the back three. I'd prefer Bennett to him in that position albeit I would hope that we can get another CB in.

10.) 06 Aug 2018 12:23:03
Preseason if for getting your team ready. If you don't form working relationships for the starting 11, then you've failed.
Where is it written that preseason if for giving kids a chance?

29 Jul 2018 23:08:23
Tim Nash saying a transfer for Marcos Rojo will not be at all likely.

1.) 30 Jul 2018 06:54:59
That's because Pepe is coming.

2.) 30 Jul 2018 08:43:09
Yeah but the source that said yesterday that pepe was coming to us are not reliable apparently besiktas even came out saying that report about pepe wanting to come to wolves was untrue but could still happen but at the moment it isnt.

3.) 30 Jul 2018 10:13:03
You read to much Newsnow Steve.

4.) 30 Jul 2018 14:22:42
How when I saw it and people talking about it on twitter not on newsnow people read another unreliable source and believed it.

Can't see why we would sell Vinagre. unless they come in with a stupid offer.

Heard nothing about Ziyech brilliant player but I'd say a cert to go to a Champions league club. Lots of lazy journalism out there linking us to players on the next level. We will get there I'm sure but can't see players like that coming in this season. I'd love to be wrong!

I think Tarkowski and Phillips would be good deals for us.

Proven CB
Young up and coming talent in Phillips he can really spray the ball long. He's good enough.

Yeah seen he is linked today. Has a good pedigree Lyon and Valencia not too shabby. Very young played in Europe. Ticks boxes.

Seen absolutely nothing of him playing so couldn't comment. What's he been like last season?

I'd be really happy with Delph. Can play a few positions too. Still in the England set up for a reason. Andre Gomes seems like an obvious addition with us getting Europa seems like a good move for him.

However we rarely get linked with him so who knows.

{Ed002's Note - There has been no interest shown by Wolves in Delph, Gomes or de Ligt. It remains rather unclear what direction the club will look to go in but there has been continued scouting and taking advice. What I can share:
Domagoj Vida (CB) has been watched by Wolves more than once
Leander Dendoncker (DM) a difficult financial situation has been untangled and he is expected to remain at the club
Morgan Sanson (CM) Wolves have met with a representative of Marseille - but there is serious interest from elsewhere
Rafael Camacho (AM) Liverpool are happy to move him on and Wolves are keen and will offer him the chance to stay in England
Harry Wilson (RW) Liverpool are happy to move him on and Wolves are one of the clubs who are keen
Yacine Brahimi (LW) enquiry made to cover if Jota leaves but he looks to be heading elsewhere
Benjamin Tetteh (S) work permit could be an issue, but Wolves have carried on watching him after talks in January led to nothing
Andre Silva (F) offered to Wolves and others but he may well not be good enough in the Premier League
Francisco Trincao (F) Braga youngster and possibly one for the future
Moussa Marega (S) looking for a move to the PL with interest from Wolves, West Ham and Leicester
Raul Jimenez (S) permanent deal agreed}
