Is there any truth in the Phil Neville Assistant Manager rumour? I really hope so; that would be an excellent appointment

Hopefully its bye bye to Mountain, Daley, Edwards and Thelwell too.

1.) 30 May 2017 12:46:33
Nothing on Thelwell yet. if he stays I would hope it is in a much reduced role. As clearly he a very poor strategist!

2.) 30 May 2017 12:56:58
I doubt Neville would come in. He only went to Valencia as a favour to the owner who is a part owner of Salford FC.

Glad to see that it looks nailed on for Rowett to get the Derby job. It means we won't have to suffer him.

Pinemaster

1.) 12 Mar 2017 22:01:50
No, we'll just get another Zenga instead and yet more instability.

2.) 13 Mar 2017 05:52:08
I would have to say that another Zenga seems quite an attractive proposition given our current predicament.

3.) 13 Mar 2017 08:50:50
Marc Wilmots is a Fosun favourite.

4.) 13 Mar 2017 09:25:37
Anything is better than this Numpty trying to run our football club pinemaster, he as not, repeat got a clue, you cannot understand what he is on about, plays horrible hoof ball football, keeps changing players and puts square pegs in round holes.
Needs to go to spec savers if that is the kind of football he plays and says that we play well, the sooner he as gone the better.

5.) 13 Mar 2017 12:11:41
I agree but I just don't think Rowett would be any better.

6.) 13 Mar 2017 22:47:43
Like to say pinemaster you can laugh all you want but if you had given Warnock the money we have spent, I would stick my kneck out and say we would be in top 6 or promoted, he would of at least got we challenging for promotion out of this league, horses for courses I say, and he as been good at doing is job for years in the championship.

After all that's what Fosen brought the club for to take we in premier and stay there, the managers or coaches we have had after Mcarthy have been a waste of space.

7.) 14 Mar 2017 17:56:39
By next month: Steve Morgan buys back club from Fosun, Jez Moxey reappointed as CEO and Kenny Jackett returns as Coach - to rebuild from League One - again!

06 Mar 2017 07:22:53
The next person to be sacked from Wolves will be Jeff Shi.
A wave of sackings might then follow when his replacement is in the chair but I am confident Fossun will replace Jeff.

Pinemaster

1.) 06 Mar 2017 08:03:37
Cant see this Piney.

2.) 06 Mar 2017 08:16:30
Why?
He has hardly been a big success.
Fossun are a big conglomerate they move people around all the time.
Jeff hasn't delivered.

3.) 06 Mar 2017 08:55:06
The next person sacked will be Lambert.

4.) 06 Mar 2017 09:11:16
It won't be. The next person out of the door will be Thelwell. The only way that Lambert will go is if we are relegated (highly likely at the moment) or if Shi goes. I have heard nothing to suggest that Shi is moving on. Although we won't til it happens because that decision will come straight from China. I have been led to believe that if we are relegated then Lambert will walk. He won't wait to be sacked. And I have also been told that Shi is fully aware of this. Just rumours though.

5.) 06 Mar 2017 09:37:02
Wouldn't surprise me Tom Tit. What's happening now is a shambles. OK, bad luck vs Reading but Wigan and Brum were there for us to take. And without Costa and Edwards scoring, we're just not finding the net enough.

I like Dave but we need to do things differently as he doesn't fit into a 442 very well. With Batth dropped - although probably back now Williamson suspended - Edwards is surely the next to be "rested". And Saville hopefully. No way. We could have Doc, Stearman, Hause, Iorfa along the back; Saiss, Price, Costa, Marshall, Bright, Bod/ Dicko. When Cav/ Zyro/ Graham fit they can be used too. Coady can slip in also.

6.) 06 Mar 2017 10:25:24
Rowett to Wolves, Lambert to Norwich would be perfect for everyone.

7.) 06 Mar 2017 16:55:03
Norwich will never take Lambert back.

8.) 06 Mar 2017 19:06:15
What is it with all this 'sack him', 'sack them' mentality?
We have just 10 weeks of the season left to go.
Why add more uncertainty and upheaval to an already tense situation?

You simply do not throw your manager out at this stage of the season - may I remind people of the Saunders/ Connor examples of the past few years?

Sit down, cross your fingers, cross your toes, back the 11 players out on the park - that is the best you can hope for in the next two months!

Then, in May, tell us all who you would prefer as a Manager and out on the park.

9.) 06 Mar 2017 20:22:53
U do when the manager has got a worse record than Saunders!

10 Feb 2017 20:44:01
Dicko will play out of his skin against Newcastle and score at least 2 goals, which will be the start of a rich vein of goal scoring form.

Pinemaster

1.) 10 Feb 2017 21:05:41
He will have to if he has to make all those chances himself because Price, Evans and Savlon are behind him.

Incidently, i just had a really good idea about a the new striker everyone so desperately craves on here. Che Adams.

2.) 10 Feb 2017 22:05:35
No if we want someone young who could do a good job it's Ennis we don't need to spend pounds on a striker that we could use in the youth academy.
My transfer shopping list next season:
A new GK
A new CB-Reuben Vezo anyone?
A new CDM-Bruno Paulista anyone?
A new CAM to fight with Edwards
A new striker Sebastian Haller?
A new young striker to try and break into the first team? Cummings?

3.) 11 Feb 2017 10:40:34
I admit it. You got me. I googled Vezo and Paulista.

4.) 11 Feb 2017 20:17:23
Clivewolves what's that supposed to mean?

5.) 11 Feb 2017 21:39:28
Read somewhere that Paulista has a 45 million Euro release clause.

6.) 12 Feb 2017 08:33:30
Hang on a minute aren't we meant to be back by Fosun who said they would spend £30 million on our transfer budget in the summer. So it could be possible I believe Vezo is another player that Mendes is an agent of.

7.) 12 Feb 2017 10:14:42
Players in Portugal only have set release clauses like that because it's a legal requirement there. In reality, deals are much cheaper.

8.) 13 Feb 2017 16:17:23
I didn't mean anything by it. It's just I've never heard of them and so I had to gooogle their names. Your knowledge of European football is far better than mine. I find it hard to find the time to watch English football, never mind the Portuguese league.

9.) 13 Feb 2017 19:03:53
Evans and Saville to be offered new deals. I know what you're thinking.

10.) 13 Feb 2017 21:03:10
Fair enough Clivewolves.

11.) 14 Feb 2017 12:07:57
You would gave heard of them if you played football manager. Unfortunately this is reality and non of those players will come to wolves.

12.) 14 Feb 2017 12:47:59
Jtwolf it's just a suggestion. I know that Mendes has links with Sporting Lisbon as well as Porto and Benfica, he also is with Valencia and most of the big clubs in spain. So actually it's highly likely that both those players could be picked out of a hat of players by Fosun and signed.

13.) 14 Feb 2017 16:58:06
We should definitely be playing our Mendes card with regards to new signings. Get in some raw talent like Jose Gomes at Benfica.

14.) 14 Feb 2017 21:25:33
I'm sure by the amount of flops from mendes suggestions, Costa the only exception, and the fact Lambert wants championship experience, the players mentioned don't have much chance of coming.

15.) 15 Feb 2017 03:15:19
Very true, some are risks for this league but how about Nelson Olveria. His agent is Mendes and he has no problem scoring for Norwich in the championship.

Woke up this morning to see that this debacle is rumbling on for yet another day.
Surely the club should have made some sort of statement by now "back him or sack him"?
This all seems a bit squalid and is not healthy for the club or anyone concerned.
Fosun haven't made millions by being nice, but at the very least they should be professional.
Jeff Shi has made mistakes and perhaps he fears for his own position or maybe he is running the club this way because he is desperate to be transferred back to China.
This is Wolves - we are better than this.
End the silence now - let us know what is going on!

Promotion in the next 2 years?
I think not - sorry Jeff.

Pinemaster

1.) 08 Apr 2017 20:42:46
Yeah got to say as much as i'm looking forward to next season with some of the potential signings we could possibly make i'm still not sure promotion is possible. There's a hell of a lot if work to do on the starting 11 alone. As much as I love dicho n bod I don't think they are the answer to our "number 9" problem, what is it 4-5 goals between them all season? Embarrassing. Centre mid is a major problem for me. Its got be the weekest down wolves I've seen in a long time. Like I said i'm as excited as the next fan but I have to keep giving myself I slight reality check. UTW.

2.) 09 Apr 2017 03:26:21
Two years is optmistic but still realistic. If Jeff suggested five or six years it wouldn't sound too promising.
Next season we should be battling for top six at least.
Lambert has only made two signings so far and both have improved the squad.
Looking forward to next season. Just hope all the players released don't come back to score against us!

Are these Paul Ince rumours that he is taking legal action because he didn't get the job true?

Pinemaster

1.) 16 Nov 2016 21:11:12
Doubt it. Rooney Rule states that BAME candidates must be interviewed which he was.

02 Nov 2016 21:33:25
I think the back room staff appointments will be interesting. He won't bring in Keane but I do think he will shake it up a bit. He must have some good contacts. Perhaps he will go for the other Keane, our very own Robbie! New goalie and fitness coach too; let's start afresh.

I have just been reading up on Bas Dost. No way will he come to Wolves in the Championship. Why would he?
When we get to the Premier league all these rumours would have a stronger possibility of becoming a reality but the championship isn't the league that world class players aspire to play in.
