Any news on traore signing a new contract?

1.) 15 Sep 2021 22:16:53
Not yet but from a few sources it sounds like him and his agent want to insert a release clause which is holding things up (either the club don't want one or think the fee proposed is too low) .

have wolves took the option to keep Vitinha?

{Ed002's Note - Nothing is resolved as far as I know but he wants to stay.}

1.) 27 Jun 2021 22:35:56

2.) 28 Jun 2021 21:48:12

Least we didn't sign Ruben semedo.

31 Aug 2021 21:43:01
It seems like we've just been fed a load of horse poo, in talks to sign all these players two mins later wolves pull out, it's like its just to keep the fans onside knowing full well they ain't signing nobody.

1.) 31 Aug 2021 21:58:04
Still time for Traore to go play for Nuno.

2.) 31 Aug 2021 22:04:01
Sod this. I'm off to bed.

3.) 31 Aug 2021 22:12:45
It does appear all we have had is lip service, just how can you justify players going on loan MGW in particular a first team member and no replacement? I just hope Bruno is ok with this after the impressive attacking football we have played, I would feel very let down.

31 Aug 2021 20:22:09
Another joke of a window.

1.) 31 Aug 2021 20:29:53
More than a joke.
The flack will fly.
Only good thing no outgoings (so far) .

2.) 31 Aug 2021 20:36:34
It's a strange one maxy84, that's 5/ 6 players we've been looking at and all dropped. Kamara for £12m would have been good business I'd have thought. The lad couldn't of fancied us. Moore way over valued. Sanchez a longer injury and 30m ask.
Boden I never thought would happen. Carla likewise. Choudry seems to be a whisper. Ramsey turned us down. All this and we've let MGW go on loan just as he was showing promise.
2 1/ 2 hours to surprise us.

3.) 31 Aug 2021 20:37:10
Looks like it. Normal services resumed 😄😄😄😄.

4.) 31 Aug 2021 20:45:27
Same old story I'm afraid.

5.) 31 Aug 2021 20:46:18
Was hoping for incomings now hoping for no outgoings! Some of the deals I’ve seen for other teams got me wondering why wolves not gone in for them? Andre gray to qpr on loan for instance?

6.) 31 Aug 2021 20:56:24
Disgusted with our club if it stays like this! I can imagine Bruno will be disheartened by being promised multiple new signings.

7.) 31 Aug 2021 21:13:54
The way this has gone Golden the next one out will be Bruno resigning. Not being backed same as Nuno.

8.) 31 Aug 2021 21:14:59
It's as if they've mentioned players they knew they wouldn't get to placate us. What club have become that we can't afford/ attract the necessary players the manager and board have promised. Disillusioned after such a showing of potential in our opening games. Maybe there's still a trick to come but I doubt it now.

9.) 31 Aug 2021 22:21:51
I said it at the time, nuno left because he was continually being let down by our transfer policy. Now it's Bruno's turn. He'll suck this one up and come out talking positively but he will be disappointed. Fosun are playing a dangerous game. To compete on the pitch, you have to compete in the transfer market. While I agree, that throwing big money at average players is not the way to go, but penny pinching is counter productive and will ultimately get us relegated.

10.) 31 Aug 2021 22:56:26
How exactly have Fosun penny pinched?

11.) 31 Aug 2021 23:24:43
Get ya old gold tinted glasses off Jas. Don't tell me you're not disappointed with today's proceedings. I can guarantee you that Bruno will be very disappointed as will the vast majority of wolves fans.

12.) 01 Sep 2021 08:02:37
I love your posts Jas and your constant positivity. Generally I agree with what you say, but even you surely cannot justify letting MGW go without bringing in a midfielder. Surely you would agree that even though on the whole the business has been good we have dropped the perverbial not signing a 1st team quality cm?

22 Aug 2021 17:32:48
I was up for selling Traoré but now I hope his stays! Fickle from me yes but if he can sort his end product out . loved him today shame about result but thought wolves played well! Just need to stick it in the net!

1.) 22 Aug 2021 19:08:55
Two games now and Traore has missed gilt edge chances I hope he is not missing so he can get his move. I think we should sell him because I believe he wants away. Performance is good but we need players who can finish all the chances we are creating.

2.) 22 Aug 2021 19:31:49
Traore should have scored in both games.
In fairness to him the Leicester and Spurs keepers are no mugs. He still should have scored. He wouldn’t miss on purpose to get a move but understand your exasperation Baza. In Bruno we trust. We’ll be ok just going to take a bit of time.

3.) 22 Aug 2021 20:18:59
Haha, can someone explain how missing good chances would help you get a move exactly?! Surely it's the opposite, teams are more likely move for him if he could add that to his game?! He needs to learn to play to his strengths, which finishing never will be. In both the last two games he could have VERY easily rounded the keeper and passed it into an open goal. Let's hope Lage can get him working on it 👍.

4.) 22 Aug 2021 20:43:05
Although we lost I was optimistic about us for the season having been told we were the better side. Now that I have watched the highlights on Sky I can only assume big 6 syndrome has started with the editing. Can anyone who went today give me an honest assessment of the game?

5.) 22 Aug 2021 21:30:48
We were the better side raging. They couldn’t handle Traore’s pace but his final ball a bit wayward and he missed that chance. Need to get more bodies in their box as they had seven or eight in there much of the game. Raul
found it a bit tough and need to get others closer to him. Trincão had some nice touches and ran rings round them at times but didn’t really create much. Neves best midfielder today but shooting was off. Marcal was a threat but again not enough players in the box to aim for. Fabio had header on target when he came on but no power behind it. Once Spurs scored they shut up shop. They did look like they may get another at times and then all Hope would have gone. Bruno is playing better football and will get the best out of them.

6.) 22 Aug 2021 21:48:30
Thanks E from Wombourn. Looks like we could have had a penalty too.

7.) 23 Aug 2021 02:57:48
Point well made about Traore using his pace to round a keeper when in one on one, as opposed to trying to side foot it into a corner. As he doesn’t disguise which side he is going to shoot, pulling wide and side-footing into an empty net looks his best option. Next weeks training drill.
Re. training, I have really been impressed by goalkeeping drills shown on Wolves TV. Roberts appears to be getting a really good response from our four keepers. Good to see them all fully involved in all the drills. Keepers have to be so good with their feet today and the drills Roberts is using is certainly working on that element. Good to see that Sa replicated a number of things they have been practicing: attacking the ball, claiming and then quickly distributing to front men.
To be fair, despite losses I have been impressed by most everything I have seen of Lage, our two performances and the intensity of the training. This league is so dependent on fine margins: penalty decisions today being a prime example!
Will be really interested in who plays against Forest. Think there is an argument to stick to same back 3/ 5 and to make changes ahead of them, with the intention of giving front 3 an opportunity in final 30 minutes to try to get a goal and a confidence boost. Perhaps go with Dendonker and MGW in centre midfield.

8.) 23 Aug 2021 09:09:58
Good point guys about pace, with Traores speed he would have a high chance of forcing a professional foul from the keeper when one on one I would have thought.

9.) 23 Aug 2021 09:12:22
I think what adds to making Traore predictable is he seems to have no left foot. When he's one on one it makes it easy for a keeper to guess what he's going to do. I think the reason he's playing on the left is so he can cut inside and shoot on his stronger footer.

His miss yesterday was like he'd over compensated for putting the same opportunity wide against Leicester, but credit where it's due - he got in the positions top have the change and against 2 of the best keepers in the league.

Yesterday was the most entertained I've been watching Wolves for a long time. Bruno has a lot still to do but the foundations are being laid and the goals will come. Forest should be an opportunity to build a bit of confidence, and if Southampton can get something off Man Utd then so can we.
