Did we not learn anything from Sunday. What's happening with our coaching?
Same old stuff. Can't depend, nobody closes anyone down and when we do attack and get into the final third we slow everything down and all the opposition to get back into position. Not even half time and we look pretty poor.

Sorry to say but we're in trouble. Semado very poor defensively and as much as I like Doc, I don't think he's good enough now. Hwang comes on and I forgot he was playing. Unfortunate goal to concede the first one, but the second oh dear. Somebody's going to point to our very long winless run and that doesn't look like ending soon. GON could well have his odds shortened as one of the early managerial casualties.

Hard to disagree Blackfords, every week we seem to suffer from a catastrophic defensive failure. Does anyone still think selling Kilman was 'good business'.

2.) 15 Sep 2024 21:53:23
Yes I think selling kilman was good business, Mosquera is far better already. Neither of their goals had anything to do with if we had kilman or not. We were unlucky today but I have no doubt our luck will change. I must admit though it was fairly obvious we needed to change something in the second half but no subs till the tide had already turned. On to the next.

3.) 15 Sep 2024 22:49:31
I do feel for GON, we finished 14th last season then sold our two most influential players! Not really sure why anyone is surprised by the current struggles to be honest?! Whilst I don't disagree on the Kilman point Long, I would just say that selling him may have been foolish but not spending any of that money on a genuine replacement with Prem experience was absolute madness! GON like every manager before him (back till Nuno) has been woefully let down by the club, I just hope it doesn't cost him his job in the long run cause that would be brutal! ?

4.) 16 Sep 2024 07:44:45
Mosquera shows lots of promise, Goatmark but you're watching a completely different game to me if you think he's far better than Kilman already.

5.) 16 Sep 2024 09:15:51
Yes there was a bit of bad luck, but this is starting to remind me of Micks final days, until we can keep a clean sheet we're going to be in trouble, still issues in goal scoring as well by the sound of it, not turning good play into goals.

6.) 16 Sep 2024 12:28:56
Semedo had a bad game? … literally EVERYONE else in the media and playing thinks otherwise. He was one of our best players!

Dawson didn’t win a tackle. Let’s just leave that one there.

Oh and he attempted 9 long passes. Completed 1.

For comparison Kilman got a rating of 7.2 for West Ham against Fulham. Dawson got a 6.1 and was the worst rated on the pitch. The keeper conceded 2 goals and still had a better rating.

So if Semedo was bad and Doherty was bad then you have to accept that Dawson was awful.

What's everyone think of the new third kit?
Personally I like it.

BlackfordsWolf

1.) 12 Sep 2024 10:19:42
It's an abomination!

2.) 12 Sep 2024 11:30:54
Haha, unlike you to be negative Pikey! ? It's a third kit for goodness sake we might see it once/twice this season! And for what it's worth I think it's absolutely banging! Not sure I have the physique to carry it off mind (looks VERY tight:), if it wasn't for that I'd buy one cause I think it looks great! ?

3.) 12 Sep 2024 11:35:10
No offence intended to those who like it, but running out of ideas springs to mind.

Not even sure why teams need a third strip other than to make even more £.

4.) 12 Sep 2024 12:07:14
I don't like it personally.

It feels that all clubs are just trying to make as much money from the fans as possible.

I'm sure a few years ago the clubs were only allowed to change their kit every 2 seasons so that fans weren't always shelling out. That seems to have fallen by the wayside.

5.) 12 Sep 2024 12:53:04
It's a money making exercise-again. Personally the purple looks good but the lettering an logo's should be in white

6.) 12 Sep 2024 13:00:24
See my post below, I personally don't think much of it, but as bully's says, we won't see much of it. Mind you we won't miss it when it is worn.
I suppose they've done their research and identified a market, although what it says about the club and our colours I don't know. Wandering your right it's commercialisation off the back of us.

7.) 12 Sep 2024 15:31:12
The general colour is ok, but the chash with the red badge and sponser logo is an absolute no no, (I think a designer worth their salt would have realised this.) However its unlikely to be used very often.

8.) 12 Sep 2024 16:40:44
Eastmids dunno if you noticed but the badge is now just the wolf head, no hexagonal surround, most probably to facilitate the simple red/orange design? At least its traditionally placed and not in the centre as on the main shirts.
The 3rd GK shirts would be more fitting as an outfield shirt and the purple pink - vibrant violet or whatever better between the posts.
Oh well moan over for the day. Apologies.

9.) 12 Sep 2024 16:47:55
Not sure why people buy kits anyway as the material is always naff! Me, I'll stick to my scarf (knitted by my nan in the 60's - she'd now be 132!), rattle and bobble hat. ??

10.) 12 Sep 2024 16:51:11
I think we should wear it.it will definitely put the opposition off their game

11.) 12 Sep 2024 22:14:15
Probably down to my age but totally bemused as to why we need this third kit. It is dreadful!

Hi Guys,
Has anyone got any news on Cuhna regarding this injury?

BlackfordsWolf

1.) 13 Feb 2024 18:59:50
I believe he was meant to have a scan today at the latest so fingers crossed no news is good news.

2.) 13 Feb 2024 19:52:25
Only seem rumours mate few weeks out, but take with pinch of salt.

3.) 14 Feb 2024 13:56:41
Not that it means much, but on Premirr League Fantasy Football site, it says at the moment that it's a 75% chance of him playing. Does also say hamstring injury.

4.) 14 Feb 2024 14:12:50
GON said it was a significant injury to his hamstring but he is already working on it and taking it day by day, week by week. I would not be surprised if he is out for 4-6 weeks.

5.) 14 Feb 2024 14:21:50
From Wolves site,

Gary O’Neil has provided an update on Matheus Cunha, who sustained a hamstring injury during Saturday’s defeat to Brentford at Molineux.

The Brazilian was forced to leave the field of play in the 20th minute and undertook a series of tests and scans earlier this week.

Speaking on Wednesday, O’Neil said: “It’s a fairly significant injury to his hamstring. There’s no timeline on it. I’ve spoken to Matheus a lot and he just wants to keep pushing to get back as soon as he can.

“He’s started working on it already, so we’re just going to monitor it week by week, day by day, see how far he can come and how quickly we can get him back. He’s keen to get back out there as soon as possible.

“It’s obviously a big blow to us, to the team and Matheus because of the work he’s been doing – the form he was in was exceptional. These things happen, every team suffers injuries. Channy was gone for over a month with the Asian Cup and we managed to keep ploughing on and we need to do the same without Matheus.”

6.) 14 Feb 2024 16:24:15
Well that's Cuhna out for at least 6 weeks. The others need to step up now. Bellegarde in particular as it's a great opportunity.

We don't win against Brentford he will be gone. Don't ask me who would replace him, but there's always candidates available. I suspect Fosun are already looking. It's just so depressing that we're not even competing now. We can't keep blaming Fosun, this is GON's team now and before everyone moans about selling our best players he couldn't have been too bothered as he signed a 4 year deal after we sold Neto. We have a good team/squad (albeit a CB light after Saturday) but GON needs to get the winning mentality back. As contributers on here have suggested, once we take a lead, keep pushing for a second, third.

Yep. Sorry to say it but we're down. If we don't beat Brentford GON will be sacked. His record is looking just too bad now. Only PL win against one of last years relegated sides.
Very frustrated at how we've arrived in this state.

Hwang definitely. Not even on the subs bench. He needs to step up massively.

Let's hope so AbbeyWolf. We do have a very talented team, but GON needs to be more ruthless with those who think they can cruise through a match. We'll never win anything with only 8/9 of the players putting in the effort and it must demotivate and demoralise those that are. Some of these players just seem to be picked every week and are contributing very little. In particular I'm talking about Hwang who has do nothing this season and very little on his return from injury last season. I wasn't a big fan of Guedes but he scored twice against Burnley, again last night and he was putting in the effort. Not sure why GON took him off. Similarly Doyle, RG and Lima. All should be considered for the game against The Vile to avoid complacency in the team. I'm hopeful that GON at least managed to identify those players who want to play for Wolves from last night's disappointment and ear mark those that don't for the January sales so we can add reinforcements.

AbbeyWolf, this was one of my arguments if that's the right term for selling or allowing players to leave if they get their heads turned by the bigger clubs. I think Hwang, Sa and Sarabia fall into that category. There were some positives out there last night, not least Guedes who appears to be making an effort. A good run in the team and his sharpness will improve. You can't play with 8 v 11 though and expect anything other than what we got.

I'd be surprised if either of the 3 mentioned above make the subs bench on Saturday. GON really needs to get a grip of this because there were players out there not putting in the effort, hiding and it will affect the moral of the squad. I think now once we concede, I can't see a way back for us. At least RG, Forbes, Lima, Doyle have put themselves forward to be in Saturday's squad.
