I'm going to say it. Wolves have two world class players in Cunha and Neto.

And Joao Gomes

Two big IFS.
IF Neto leaves at the end of this season, which a big, big offer could make happen and IF Leeds don’t gain promotion, then I think an ideal replacement would be Summerville. Seen some other names mentioned as Neto replacements but none match up to the Leeds man, in my opinion.

I wouldn't yet call Joao world class, but he is a fine player, as is Lemina, as is Hwang.

And, what an important figure we have in Dawson, he'll be hard to replace, he's got the knowledge of prem, knows the tricks and refs etc and is a key player. His commitment and vision and no doubt organisation verbally isn't easily gained.

I'm standing by my opinion of Gomes. Caicedo, Bissouma and Rice are regarded as world class but just watch Gomes play. He does the same as them and more. The other 3 get more praise simple because of who they play for.

Not sure who regards any of them as world class, Jas. To be really world class you'd need to get into a hypothetical world team squad of, say 23 (which I think is the usual number) at a world cup and none of those come close. We are talking about the likes of De Bruyne, Rodri, Lewandowski (still, just). People do use it wrongly these days for players of much lower quality.

You are right Old Wulf. The term World Class is used too often but my point is that Gomes is better than most of the players in the PL who play in a similar position.

I wasn't saying Dawson was world class old wulf, but what is world class? The Crème de la crème I agree. They're international class. Kilman should be moving in that direction but rarely do we see anyone outside the 6 getting selected these days, and you can bet neto gomez will feature for Portugal and Brazil as regulars. Cunha and sarabia have had their chance. Toti may well develop further. The two buenos show capability to develop with experience. So international quality yes, world class maybe a stretch so far.
