Liverpool apparently agree £111 million for Caicedo.
Our club can’t afford to buy new program sellers ??

HTP even if we wanted to spend the governing bodies would sanction us with a points deduction whereas other clubs receive a £300000 fine for breaching spending regulations.
We need to follow Brightons example of buy low and sell high.
How many players have we bought and not developed to their full potential and then they have gone elsewhere and are worth a lot more?
If Neves was a Brighton player I am sure they would have managed to sell him for more than we did.

Caicedo has turned down Liverpool because he gave his word to Chelsea sounds like a player we signed. I expect a couple of signings now that Mr grumpy has gone, like all of these so called big managers they can only manage when they have loads of money to buy there success.

Reading that Guedes is stll going back to Benfica on loan. I'm trying to be positive but jez it's hard when we've effectively spaffed £30m (plus sign on and wages) on a player FOR Benfica! The longer Jeff stays out of Wolverhampton the happier I will be! ?

E from Wombourn, I’m intrigued where you think Brighton would have got more than the circa 47 million we did for Ruben? Definitely not from a premier club. Barcelona were the only other ‘big’ club rumoured to be interested, till Xavi publicly said he didn’t want or need Neves. Then we get back to the Saudi league, where they appear to just pay silly money out to get their targets. So I can’t see any other club getting more for Neves than we managed to get.

Adama about to sign for Fulham on a free and the hits just keep on coming!
Seriously Jeff please stay out of the City, I fear for ya safety! ?

I actually think E is right here Half to be honest. We got £47m for Neves with one year left on his contract and that was the mistake! If we got £47m for him with just a year left it's not unbelievable to assume we could have got £60m+ with a decent length on his contract. Notice all the players Brighton are selling have well managed contracts, essentially it's the difference between choosing to sell someone and having to which massively changes your negotiating position. Truth is Jeff was damn lucky the Saudis came in for him else we would have lost Neves for buttons a week before the deadline, just another example of how mismanaged our sqaud has been. Kind of like spending what was a record amount (at the time) on a winger then seeing him leave of a free (please see Adama)! However you dress it up the club have put itself in the FFP trouble we are currently in I'm afraid! Peeps can moan about the FA and the fairness of it all but it's still ENTIRELY on us (or more to the point Jeff)! ?

A lot of the FFP problems stems from the purchase of Guedes and Cunha, purely panic buys and we'll overpriced . They dragged their feet in the transfer window, as usual, and ended up with a player who they can't give away and one who never justifies his large price tag. But fans have to be careful when they say Fosun out. Problem would be finding a buyer the state the club is in now.

Ten Hag was interested in Cunha.

Maybe he was, then he probably heard how much we were paying for him and realised there was better value for money out there! No ones debating Cunhas potential just that we paid about double what it's truly worth!

I agree Cunha was overpriced and a panick buy. Guedes on the other hand had all the ingredients to be a massive success and no one was complaining when we signed him. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

He had the qualities Kiddy but it has become VERY evident that Guedes never wanted to come to Wolverhampton! To be honest out of the two of them Guedes is by FAR the worst, he might be over priced but least Cunha wants to be here and has contributed! Guedes really could go down as one of the worst signings the club has EVER made! ?
