Worrying fact, we’ve only scored league goals against three teams in the top half of the table, Newcastle (1) Brentford (1) Brighton (2), starting Sunday we’ve got to play them all again, just as worrying most of the Clubs around us in the table are used to scrapping for survival.

The difference is that we have improved the squad.

You're using the previous squad / playing style and manager as an incorrect benchmark. Will we beat City today? Probably not. But given performances against Utd, Liverpool x2 and West Ham things have changed for the better.

You are right Debbie but we may beat Man City tomorrow instead ?

Depends which City turn up they are a right Jekyll and Hyde side this season.

We have had a supposed striker shortage over the last 2 years Yet over that period we had the Pizza man, Bonatini, Young lad Theo, Campana, Fabio and Mir on the books over those 2 years. Most went out on loan and a few of those were banging them in. Granted they may not have been the ideal striker we all want but keeping and playing at least one of them would have been sensible. We create our own luck I'm afraid!

This time last season we were in about 8th place.
Hope this jogs your memory.

Handsome if you recall at this stage last year under Lage we were still playing Nuno's style with Coady and Saiss to the fore. We weren't scoring many but we were hardly conceeding any at all. Guess this "style" was why we were only 8th?
The point Debbie is making I believe is that we stopped doing that and started losing games, hence ended up bottom. However we have now changed once from the losing style that we "needed to change to" to a more sensible, Nuno like, style of football which means Debbie is now more optimistic than Oxley that we can rescue this season

Adeeee. We also had that fruitless loan of Willian Jose.

I still think to some degree that Cutrone got a raw deal. He didn't play too many matches but in those matches he played very few minutes in them too.

But looking at how he has played at all the teams he went to since this and maybe he just didn't have to quality.
