Would be nice to see some transfer activity today to give us all a lift for tomorrow.

Hi Nigel I reckon or dream of us having a stellar signing paraded at our first home game.
But yes would be nice to sign someone today to give us a lift but it is Friday the 13th so if we don't that will soften the blow.

Im not sure that any signings are pending, we have spent quite a lot bringing in youngsters over the past three or four years and I get the impression that the club opted to hire Lage because he has the experience of working with and developing young talent. Fosun seem to have a long term vision and investment in the academy has been significant so they surely expect it to start producing some results. Lage may have identified some targets but they may not be available at this point or may be currently beyond us financially although that could change if we were to make some sales. I’m just pleased that we seem to have kept hold of Neves, Traore, Raul etc. etc. We would have been far more vulnerable if any of our current first team regulars had been poached by others.
Let’s give Lage some time to gel the squad and hopefully get the best out of our talented younger players.

I am not going to bother buying any merchandise at the moment because if Fosun can not be bothered to support the first team why should I. It sounds like we are going to rely on the likes of MGW and other youngsters to survive this season so I will just watch, hope and pray that something good will happen to bring back my enthusiasm.

I see bruno says he's outlined the type of players he wants brought in before Aug 31st to the board (sky sport) does this mean 1. That fosun will risk penalty and splash out or 2. Well be seeing 'big' departure/ s during the next week to fund incoming names. Either way it looks like Bruno has his 'ideas' of what he wants, will the board now back him?
