Lets see can "Uncle Jorge" get us some decent loans. I think that man and his agency pulls the wool over peoples eyes. Players all seem to be over inflated, and are not that good. A prime example is Joao Felix.

Wolves were warned by Valencia fans about his antics, and it all came true. But can anyone blame him truly? a fool and their money don't make great bed fellows.

I would suggest blaming Wolves hierarchy for being naive - whether that was Sellars or it could run deeper as somebody has to sign-off or rubber stamp these purchases. I wonder did Hobbs have the conversation with Shi when he told them Wolves have been duped a number of times regarding transfers?

I think a lot of the blame has to lie at the doors of Lage and Sellars, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

There was a time not long ago fans called for big money to be spent. When it was it wasn't spent wisely and what's happening now is the consequence.

FFP is a handbrake to a lot of clubs and the only way to kick on is to invest in infrastructure and improve revenues otherwise there is a glass ceiling that is hard to break through.

Totally agree on the infrastructure point Alex. However, I don't think it's hindsight as some of us were expressing doubts in the top table after hearing those 'Ask Wolves' interviews that Jonny Phillips did several years ago, me for one.

I've always harboured nagging doubts about certain individuals since then, it was just a feeling but I'm sorry to say it seems my spidey senses were on point. The lack of football nowse within Fosun and the need to rely on third parties from outside the club being at the heart of it for me.

I'm not blaming Mendes in any way, just the need to rely on him.

With Mendes you take the good and not so good. Arguably his assistance got us into the Premier League our best players came via him. Yes we've had some bad ones but you don't have to buy them! The bad ones only turned up after Jeff had moved the football men on as he wanted to do it. Not he's made a mess of it time will be required to sort it out. Mendes leads the horse to water, it can choose to drink.

LongmyndWolf fair point. My Hindsight comment was more me holding my hands up at backing Lage. I openly admit I backed him right up until he played Neves as a centre back against West Ham.

I think a lot of football clubs get owners who don't know the game and/or get taken advantage of parties that claim to know. The club has needed a proper director of football for a long time.
