Sa - 7 Apart from his odd error at the end of the game he was v v solid making several good saves. There is a thread already applauding his signing and it really was an inspired piece of work. He not only makes good saves but by both giving defenders confidence and actually "sweeping" ie a real defensive action he allows all of our defenders to play higher up the pitch and better. Before with Rui stuck on his line and our defenders lacking pace (they still do) we were vulnerable to balls in behind. Now we aren't!
RAN - 8 Although I like Marcal, RAN's superior offensive skills mean I would pick him ahead of Marcal, a real compliment given that Marcal has played in the latter stages of European club football's senior competitions. If he can continue his progress - and remember last year at the start of the season he looked v raw and I for one was against us paying £20m * (suggesting we only pay £10m with add ons) - he can be a Champions league player for us. We need to buy/develop and keep these players as we can be that team in the Champions League maybe/maybe not this year but soon if we can continue to make good decisions, like the aforementioned two, in the transfer market
Saiss - 7 My inherent bias shows here as I still remark how well he is playing despite that form being consistent for some 3 years now.
Coady - 8 Excellent - just like last year he excelled against Kane and co!
Kilman - 7 Many people on various web sites had him down as their M of M. Yes, he was good but for me Coady was better - sorry!
Semedo - 7 Another good game from Semedo who like RAN has grown into a top level WB. To be fair after a rocky start he was good for most of last year as well but - like Silva - is judged against his transfer fee/wages and thus doesn't get the credit his play probably deserves.
Neves- 8 He is in a rich vein of form at the moment and this was another superb performance.
Cundle- 7 A v impressive debut. As well as his confident touch and distribution I really liked the fact that he got stuck in showing no fear or lack of confidence despite the stars he was opposing!
Dendonker - 7 So so pleased for him. It wasn't his game last week but this week he covered a million miles, closed people down, won the ball and moved it on - brilliant. He also got his goal by never giving up on the play. He actually won the ball back and passed to Semedo before following the ball and knocking in the rebound from Podence's shot. Jimenez got his goal from a Dendonker shot - via a bizarre flap from Lloris - as well.
Podence -7 Came in for a lot of stick from some posters for losing the ball too often but for me he loses it because he is trying to make things happen. He is perhaps the perfect foil for Neves and Dendonker who rarely give the ball away but normally don't open teams up on a regular basis.
Jimenez -7 Got a good goal and could have had a second. Didn't hide and tried hard but still not back to his best - but this was a move in the right direction.
Subs -N/A none had long enough to make a real impression.

Thanks for that Tfiog. Often I only have the Wolves TV match commentary, online highlights or MOTD's carefully edited highlights (lol) to go on so this is always helpful to understand how well, or not Wolves have played.

And that of course is why they should expand the stadium so that great fans like you - and the next generation of fans of course - can see the games!
ps we were reasonably good for the first hour or so but rather sat back when Spurs came at us in the latter stages. However in reality Spurs were awful for the first 30 mins or so and we should have scored more than 2.
Arsenal in the previous game weren't great either but not awful and we just didn't get going and were equally inefficient when it came to chance conversion - we don't make many so have to be pretty much smack on and take them all for us to get the results we really deserve from GK to Midfield.
Guess a front line choosen from of a pre injury Jimenez, a Jota in his current form, a fully fit Neto, an on form and message Traore and Podence would make a massive difference.
In fact we wouldn't be Champions league qualifiers but Champions league contenders!
Oh well maybe that ship has sailed but hopefully we can build again particularly if Neto returns to his pre injury form (and so does Jimenez!)

Tfiog - Yep it would be nice to get back into the Mol on a regular basis. Work commitments before prevented it and I missed the season ticket boat following our promotion to the Prem.
The club are currently reviewing the waiting list so we'll have to see what my chances are.
In the meantime keep up the good work with the match reports.

TFG, great write up, nothing I disagree with just great, spot on.

I would add, Bruno 8, great tactics from the off forced Spurs to make a tactical change within 30 mins, handed the impetus to Wolves and spurs struggled to regain it all match.
