Ok, Barnsley tomorrow. There are NO easy games in this league and anyone who thinks this is an easy 3 points needs to think again me thinks! We should get a result, but we can't depend on it! I hope we see 30,000+ shouting the team on at the Mol and can't wait to see Helda Costa back in the team. :-)

22 Sep 2017 12:31:37
Trouble is we've become the team to beat. Everyone will raise their game against us and go physical because they can't match us. This is when the going gets tough and taking 3 points against the barnsley etc essential. Let's have faith in Nuno and hopefully stay injury free. COYW.

From £30 upwards I think.

On paper we are the underdogs and on the day we will be the underdogs but would rather travel to the Etihad and have a great day out and who knows the underdogs might come through every one has a bad day at the office so let's hope Man City have one . I remember traveling up to Liverpool last year and what a day that was Either way we can hold our heads up high .

Gee my thoughts are with you and hope you can take strength from the wolves family. I was there in 74 and was hoping we could give a good account of ourselves and not expecting more, but we found the resolve and pulled it off. Inspired performances again like the baileys Hubberts and pierces and who knows? Could we comelette the hatrick of league cups this year? COW.

21 Sep 2017 18:53:37
I think everything will depend on Nuno's selection for the game. If he sticks with our "second string" we could be in for a hiding. Not saying we have a great chance with our strongest 11 and obviously I am expecting us to lose, but it would be interesting to see how we do, especially with the speed of our counter attacks and style of play. Either way, so long as we give a good account of ourselves I will be more than happy. In the meantime condolences to Gee wolf and his family. Thoughts are with you GW.

Gee wolf thoughts with you and your family.

21 Sep 2017 12:23:48
Hard to see an upset this time. I know we outplayed a strong Southampton team, and got the better of Liverpool and Stoke teams last season, but City's second team would have international players in it.

Anyway, I always reckon it's better to get beaten by the best. Wouldn't have liked to go to Elland Road, for example.

21 Sep 2017 14:26:21
I would have preferred Bournemouth away. Teach those cheats a lesson. Still, a big showdown at the Etihad between Pep and Nuno will be quite something. Mourinho will be cheering us on I think!

Condolences to gee wolf. Time is a great healer.

So sorry gee wolf to hear your sad news. Totally relate to what your going through at this sad time. Believe me when I say you will look back with fond and happy memories rather than the grief you're feeling at the minute. doesn't make it any easier mate but each day that passes it becomes less painful the emotions you're facing atm. Stay strong along with your family until the time comes where you will begin to smile remembering the memories of your mom.

First time since 1995 that Wolves have made it to the league cup 4th round.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Sep 2017 10:32:46
Potentially first trip to Wembley since 1988 in the next round.

20 Sep 2017 11:27:42
Hope so Chris 👍 And not a trip to Middlesborough 👎.

20 Sep 2017 13:25:55
Be great if we do get that tie Chris, will find out tonight.
Normally i'm not keen on the league cup but we have the squad now and it is great seeing what our backup players can do, I honestly think Norris may be better than John Ruddy too.

20 Sep 2017 15:45:10
Absolutely agree with you Rated regarding Norris.

20 Sep 2017 16:56:22
Am I in a minority who doesn’t want Wolves to play Spurs at Wembley in the next round? I’ve always wanted to watch Wolves play at Wembley, but I’d rather it be in a cup final in front of 90,000 fans. If we play Spurs there there’ll probably be 25,000. I know we’ll take a few but playing at Wembley when it’s barely a third full wouldn’t be that great.

20 Sep 2017 18:15:50
We'll take 'em at the Mol though.

21 Sep 2017 07:01:33
City away then be a good test wonder if nuno goes there with strong team and goes for it or not I'd like him too, city will play a fairly weakened team.

19 Sep 2017 12:02:57
Because its the cup and it always throws up shock results i'm predicting low scoring game (more reverse physcology as i'm just a fan and really want wilson and zyro to bag at least a brace each)0-0 or 1-0 to either side. fwaw.

Great win a Saturday. The quality of Jota, and Costa when back and fit, will get us those wins by the odd goal this season.
Looking at some the results on Saturday and the table it just shows how tough the Championship is.

It's still early and the league is therefore naturally a bit bunched up, but if Forest had nicked a second goal before us and hung on to win we would be 8th in the league.

If we are in the top 6 come January I think we will strengthen in the transfer window and have a great chance of finishing in at least the play offs.

18 Sep 2017 15:12:54
We're doing all the right things. It's going to be about consistency. At this rate we'll get as much as 97 points but so will 2 other teams, with a handful more just behind. (2 points separating 6 teams) .

It's highly unlikely 3 teams will get 97 points - even one is rare, but that's the prize. A season of delivering these results will likely win the league. A dip in form will likely mean dropping a few places.

Watch out for a glimse of my Wobbly Bobblies on Tuesday night - North Bank. I will respond to the song: "get yer balls out for the lads! ". Yes, they wobble, yes they bobble. Predict 4-0.

Hi gents. Heres my post today and it goes to a real unsung hero. Mr leo bonatini.

Had an old mate who used to play golf with stevie g. He used to say emile heskey was one of the most unsung heroes about for england and liverpool. Because he did all the shitty donkey work (knock downs, physical centre half battering to wear them down etc) and took no plaudits.
I noticed this massively at the trentside saturday. He isn't scoreing just yet but man he is trying and being unselfish in careing more about the points than his own tally (just look at daniel sturridge to an example of a selfish striker)

Very happy. Keep up the good work leo.

Big edd out x.
