We all know GON is a terrific coach and he has come out and publicly said that we needed to be better than the second half yesterday. Fair enough but we went in at half time 1-0 up and we all know that in previous years we'd have not taken 3 points.

Is it possible he tweaked it a bit to ensure that we got the points? The 1-0 vs Burnley was really drab but 6/6 from these 2 games is a perfect return.

To be honest hastings GON could have said we couldn't be any worse, to be honest we did just what we needed to but blades were woeful too. It was an adequate win at best. If GON tweaked things I dunno what he said, don't make any movement to play out? Don't make your self available to go forward? It was really baffling. But we won, onto Brighton and then hopefully take our game to Newcastle.

2.) 26 Feb 2024 13:28:34
I agree - it was these games in the past where we really struggled. Don't know why but as you say, adequate at best. I thought we were ok in the 1st half. I said to my son that it looked like a cup game where we had been drawn against a rough tough league 1 side. I think GON might have said to just hold. The 3 points are what it was remembered for, it was hard work to watch in the second half. Sheff U had so many people behind the ball it was tough to find space and make that spark. Having said that, they were the same vs Brighton and got smashed 5-0. oh well, onwards and upwards. Wolves for the cup anyone?

3.) 26 Feb 2024 13:40:47
A result against Brighton would be phenomenal but more importantly put us in 7th. Personally, I would care if it was an awful game with us winning 1-0 with the goal going in off the back of the goaly's head.

We need those points and same goes for any other game if I'm honest.

4.) 26 Feb 2024 15:09:38
alrIght longmynd it's fa cup against Brighton mate.

5.) 26 Feb 2024 15:50:43
Well spotted Phil789

6.) 26 Feb 2024 16:26:07
I suppose at 1-0 if they want to sit behind the ball let them, ok it's not pretty if you've payed good money to watch but why risk getting hit on the counter let them risk coming forward and getting hit by our counter attack.

7.) 26 Feb 2024 17:03:47
Tbh I realised the minute I posted it Phil, DOH. ? In my defence I am out of the country suffering from a heavy flu like virus so not firing on all cylinders at the moment.

Still if we beat Brighton away we still deserve the three points. ?

8.) 26 Feb 2024 18:58:53

Hello everyone, as you might remember, me painting my decking brings home the 3 points for Wolves (ok, 1 point vs Villa) the weather was shocking last week and against Newcastle. I couldn't even go outside.
However, a mild, sunny day has led to me sweeping the leaves off of the decking at kick off. Thankfully it is not the paint but the decking that is clearly linked to the hallowed turf at the Mol. This is a relief because the decking stain costs £42 a tin. it's just the decking. What a result, we so deserved something from the game. Sarabia had a wonderful cameo!

Hastings that has to be the prettiest decking in all England. You can take a couple weeks off now. Let the leaves, etc dirty up the deck so you can clean it up while Wolves are away at Fulham.

2.) 11 Nov 2023 18:24:24
As NJW says leave it alone now Hastings. In two weeks time it'll need a good clean up again.

Great win and a late comeback great for the fans who were there. Sarabia's goal was class, so pleased for him. It seem's like GON is the man after all, but the whole team deserve the plaudits for that effort.

I suppose some will put it down to Spurs injury list a bit like they did when we beat City. Still we got the points so still creeping up the table.

3.) 11 Nov 2023 19:01:32
Absolutely brilliant today. I must admit though I was getting very frustrated with our final ball and misplaced passing until the goals. We were the better side by far today and fully deserved the win.
Credit to the ref today also. It'll be interesting how the media report on the match. Personally I don't care. Onwards and upwards.

Hello everyone

I did raise a little bit by doing some painting of my decking. Thank you for the banter and support!

I live in Hastings so don't have an amazing knowledge of Wolverhampton based charities. I have sent a payment to Good Shepherd Wolverhampton.
They're in Wateloo Road, so near the Mol, they are aiming to end homelessness and support ways out of poverty. I think we'd all agree that this is a decent enough shout.

Onwards and upwards see you at the Mol soon.

Nice one Hastings, errm, any plans to paint it next week? ?

2.) 11 Oct 2023 06:53:55
Leave it until the week after when we play Newcastle!

3.) 12 Oct 2023 10:15:28
Do you think it would work if you paint someone else’s decking Hastings? I’ve got a load that could do with a coat. Well done on your charitable efforts btw.

4.) 16 Oct 2023 10:09:43
I don't think Newcastle are peticuley turning the league into a top 7! They have had a good couple of seasons with a new owner putting in cash, and a decent manager creating a feel good factor around the club if you think back its the same as whst happened to us when we got promoted two seventh place finishes didn't hear people say it was a top 7 then! The truth is Newcastle progress will slow down as the won't be able to invest what they want due to ffp restrictions unless they wait to see what happens to city and everton. If evertons sanctions or punishment isn't to severe its worth breaking the rules. But wolve have de ided no to go downt that route

Have just finished the second coat on my decking in 8 days and the 5th coat since March. It's 27 degrees today and I am knackered. I heard my son screaming with delight and thought I'd done it again.

Just seen the highlights, Semedo so should have passed and that Watkins header.fair point in the end.

Afternoon all - Southampton 1 - 2 Wolves, Wolves 3 - 0 Liverpool, Wolves 1 - 0 Chelsea and Wolves 2 - 1 Man City have all got something in common. I was painting my decking. I will be doing it again at 2pm in the sunshine on Sunday. I have raised a couple of quid so will be sending it to a men's charity in Wolverhampton regardless. Come on Wolves, I love it when we win

2.) 06 Oct 2023 17:33:28
That's a well painted deck Hastings, I know painting it every weekend will cost a bit, but just think of the joy you'll bring. ?

3.) 06 Oct 2023 17:43:41
Dito fingers crossed ?

4.) 06 Oct 2023 17:43:43

5.) 07 Oct 2023 08:09:46

Would prefer to see them up. Decent ground that they will fill every week, excellent rivalry. Don't think they are good enough at the moment though. They didn't look anywhere near scoring against us and as we all know, goals ain't easy to come by in the PL. Trouble is, each year the gap gets bigger. They might get a few quid from their new owners like we did but getting a Neves esque player even at age 20 would now cost £30m plus. Look at the signings we made in the championship, Jota, Neves, Boly. how much would they cost now?

Billy not so quiet, I have created a go fund me page. I'm from Hastings as you can probably tell but any money I do raise from painting my decking again (!) I will donate to a charity in Wolverhampton. I have bought another 5L. Like you said, anything to beat Vile and my decking is clearly linked to the turf at Molineux and the team.
