Just a bit of info.
Wood 27 goals
Abraham 23
Kodija 19
Kermorgant 18
Jerome 16
Assombalonga 14
I would imagine Bonatini if selected will get 14-18 goals this season-he seems a good finisher from the very limited
time I've seen him play (he might get 30.)
Costa and Cav should get 20 between them.
Jota 6-10.
Centre halves 10 between them.
Wing backs 6/ 7.
Subs and other midfielders 15-20
That's around 70 goals or 1.5 a game. if we don't concede we'll win more than we lose.
A "20 goal a season striker" isn't essential in my opinion the way we play.

Sorry Edthewolf1.
It's just seems that those estimates will work if they are at the maximum of the estimates. I don't think they will all finish with those numbers it's just a bit dreamy. Plus I don't trust our youngsters scoring 5-10 goals between (I can see Roman, bright scoring that many) when more experienced players get injuries. Centre halves won't get 10 and subs won't get 15-20 just my opinion though. The stats would confirm my view though I expect.

There isn’t going to be a striker brought in the traditional sense as that isn’t how Nuno sets up with his philosophy.

Afobe would be a great signing for two reasons:
1) he can hold up the ball and bring the creative players we have into the game.
2) he is a better version of bright. I rate bright but afobe is more accomplished. In the game against Barnsley and Cardiff we needed a player to hold the ball up and be strong. Bright did do that against Barnsley and won is the game but he can be kicked out of games.

12-15 million would be a bargain as long as the team are in good shape come January. Fingers crossed it’s with the footballing gods now.

Okay a striker wasn't signed and I trust Nuno with developing the front three and seeing the combinations he comes up with. However Ndiaye didn't exactly excite me when announced either. Surely we could have gone after a Joe Ledley or to a point Mulumbu (I know he ex Sandwell town) but these two would do a job for us and get the midfield organised in periods of onslaught like against Cardiff. Also if we were after Gayle, Rhodes and Oliveira surely we should have offered more for afobe with the fact he is younger and has done it before in the championship personally 18m seems cheap if we are a step closer to premiership football and the fortunes that come with it.

{Ed001's Note - I must be in need of a break from the comp, I read that post and thought it said you were after Gary Rhodes! I was trying to figure out why on earth Wolves were after a TV chef.}

I'm disappointed a striker wasn't signed. Albeit I felt all options were either too expensive (even for us) or hadn't shown enough to make me feel confident that they would score 20 goals. Burnley signed wells which just stinks of desperation IMO. I also felt we could have got renato Sanches but premier league football was to tempting.
However with a front three of jota, cav, Donovan, bright, Costa and bonatini I feel we are covered we just need to make sure we impose our selves and control possession.

I'm going to put it out there and say we have signed a striker before dicko left. I cannot believe Nuno and Fosun would allow dicko and mason to leave to our competitors without a better player coming in. Who it is i'm not sure everything is exciting though and Fosun know that creates a buzz in the fan base wolves are active and three will come which three is the exciting part. Also this Dutch youngster seems to fit the mound of Graham more than the striker we crave. Bring on the next 4 hours!

Well well well.

The high risk signings are:
Hugill- one season scored 13 more of a target man
Rhodes- can he rediscover the form he had?
Wells- same as Rhodes hamstring injuries
Gayle- getting older but worth 20 goals issues with attitude and injuries
All those players you are looking at between 8m-18m.
I hope the number crunchers at Molineux have there calculators today.
It is probably best to take all reports on and judge on football rather than the past though.
I'm sure Mendes has a couple of aces up his sleeve.
