Let's hope you are right. The team will need this quality to get promoted. Remember the 2008 promotion was in year of soft opposition. 2003 was more like now: remember we had Ince, Irwin, Murray, Miller . quality.

Transfer Gossip on BBC saying Villa prepared to let Lescott go on a Free. Is this worth a punt for us?

The best place for Lescott is a Sunday pub league team.

Lescott is a club legend, he was brilliant in his time but now I think he's a bit past it.

being reported on aBola today

Extreme Mehdi placket and midfielder Talisca not part of Rui Vitória plans for this season and no longer participate in all exercises in training. According to A Bola, the situation of the Moroccan and Brazilian are identical - both expect only starting order for a new club.

Thus, the coach of the Eagles has focused attention on those that will count during the year. The transfer of Mehdi Carcela is being negotiated between Benfica and Hamburg. It is even the German club is in pole position to sign him outright, while others have expressed interest (without presenting any offer) . The end was hired by the Eagles last summer to Standard Liege for € 3.4 million and amounted to 29 games (11 to holder) and three goals. It victim, this time, the excess ends (Carrillo, Salvio, Cervi, Benítez, Zivkovic, Pizzi and Gonçalo Guedes) .

In turn, Talisca, as is known, expects the work permit requested by Wolverhampton is issued by the FA. Benfica will receive around € 25 million by the Brazilian.

if even villa don't want him, what does that say?

Lescott is past it unfortunately, and he would be a liability even in our league.

I suspect Villa are wanting to ditch Lescott as after his antics last season, showing off flash cars and not seeming too bothered etc, he must be akin for them to our bomb squad.

Would he be bomb squad if he came here? Or would he care and make a proper effort? If we did take him, I'd trust Zenga (who had a much bigger playing career than Lescott and I don't think takes prisoners) to make it work or to kick him into touch hard. So if Lescott came I think it would work, not that I think he will be signed.

I can see the richest man in china has taken over the baggies? NOT there must be some disappointed fans lol
With the west midlands Chinese triangle there is going to be some bragging rights back in China for the best club . with the news on fosun selling 16 billion of assets to
To focus on new stratages in India and into enteraiment only looks better for us . even better is that fosun want to turn them selves into a 100 billion company .
On bbcwm there was a English guy talking to them from China who advises CEOs and buisness on investments and he said fosun would want champions league football .
I nearly crashed my car at the thought of this mouth watering prospect.

I know he's the Chinese Alan Titmarsh! Our Jeff says we need 5-8 players their new chairman 2-3. It's so funny their new owner said " we have a great team and great players and hopefully soon we can be in top half of the premier league" great ambition😂😂😂.

Yes but they Baggies buyer has silent invisible investors in the deal too, maybe it's the Chinese Govt?

Maybe all these Chinese who've suddenly turned up to buy clubs in our region this Summer are on a Chinese Govt mission, to carve out a hotspot of Chinese supported English Prem football clubs that can play local derbies and create rivalry and drama for their Chinese home audience, and we've all got lucky by it being the West Midlands. Maybe they'll buy Brum too, and want to make our 4 like the Northwest Liverpool and Manc 4 with their derby set up? Maybe with all the Chinese's money, the West Mids will one day usurp the NorthWest?

Bagsy us being Man U, and Baggies being Everton :-)

Congratulations to bogies on their takeover today. To be fair they have billionaire owners as we do and the news can only be good for West Midlands football. Let's hope that our project can be managed well and with ambition and forward thinking and one day just maybe we could play that crowd up the road on the Champions League Final.

I've heard big Jeff usesthe the new baggies owner on weekends as his bag man.
This can only bode well for football in the Midlands in general, for you ling the area has had to play 3rd or 4th fiddle to London, the north west and north east, good times ahead I think for the Midlands as a whole.

2 years ago Lescott would have been an amazing signing but, ever since, his confidence has been knocked quite badly. I'm sure there's still a good player in there somewhere that could give another 2 years service but it's just a question whether Wolves would take the risk. Jackett would definitely be signing him right now under the old Morgan regime.
