Very interesting comments from RE about Larsen Wolves do not want to sell this month. The player Larsen is quite happy at the club and not pushing to leave. Leeds valuation did not meet Wolves so offer was turned down and no body is trying to force a move. Which brings in the move about Agbadou all reports are saying he wants to leave and is pushing to go.

But now reports are saying Besiktas need to pay the 20mill Euros that Wolves paid only a year ago or he's not going anywhere. As reports are saying BBesiktas have only offered 13 to 15 mill which is a 5mill less for Wolves after 1 season tell them to get stuffed or pay what Wolves want.

I rarely get to say this BUT I actually think Wolves are being quite savvy with the JSL bids. Because they know that at £30m we'd get that at the end of the season anyway. However, if by some miracle he actually finds form and scores 5-10 goals before the end of the season then they are in a MUCH stronger negotiating position at the end of the season to get closer to that £40m that they value him at.
Add to this that I also think RE has a point in his appraisal of the situation, because what all us Wolves fans have done (myself included) is seen the player we had before the Newc bid followed by the player after and we've all just (naturally) assumed the causation of his currently woeful form i.e he wants out/can't be arsed. While we've also all been ignoring the other mitigating factors, largely being that every single creative player that made his goals last season has since been sold or let go. I'm not saying he gets a free pass BTW cause I agree that he also hasn't worked hard enough this season. But again whilst I previously assumed that was because he was sulking in truth it's FAR more like that (like the rest of the squad) he's just become completely unmotivated by our complete lack of creative talent. I suppose what I'm wondering is what happend first did he stop working or did he just become entirely sick of making runs that none of our squad were even capable of seeing much less finding with a pass.

It is also worth remembering here that the back drop of all this is a striker that last season that scored 14 goals in their debut Prem season, that's IMMENSE! In fact at the £25m paid that's virtually unheard of these days outside the top four! Normally at that price your lucky to get a striker with 7+ goals in a debut Prem season.
Now I'm also realistic and know he will inevitably leave (next week or at the end of the season). All I'm saying is that I understand the club's reluctance to sell him when his value is (literally) at its lowest point it's been since we signed him. Don't forget here that Shi (the second:) has just seen his predecessor hounded out of the club for consistently poor transfer business. If Nathan has ANY sense he will know that selling JSL on the cheap now, only to (potentially) see him bang goals in at the next club would have every Wolves fan yet again questioning our transfer acumen. It would get him off to the worst possible start with the fans!
Let's see what the next week or so brings, but all I'm saying is that with our current situation (essentially relegated) then the club should be in no rush to start a fire sale. From what TFG says (and he knows his financial onions) then we are screwed financially eitherway and with that in mind every penny counts! Add to that with the entirely uninspiring players we've been tied with then (personally) I'm in no rush to see JSL leave on the cheap COYW ?

BullsBoy I know what your saying but if Wolves keep on improving and keep there best players. You never know and I put a post o befofe if Wolves are relegated they have a price and stick to it. Reports going round Liverpool 26mill for Andre get stuffed 45 to 50 mill if PLor champioship simple as.

I agree DMac, the low ball bids are sadly a reflection of where we are. The vultures are circling and hoping for a distressed sale, especially with our Brazilian lads because they will want to try and push there way back into the squad in time for the WC.

Like I say though I agree with your premise, now is not the time to panic and sell every last bit of talent we have left at flea market prices because right now if we sell yet ANOTHER manager down the 'transfer window river' then we really could be screwed if RE becomes disinfranchised with the whole project (like those that have gone before him) ?

I agree Bully, we're down anyway so let's play hardball if we have to sell in this window. JSL has had to make up for the loss of creative players by becoming more creative himself. He's put a lovely couple of defence splitting passes to Mane, one of which was a goal. In fact, they are developing into a bit of a duo.

Absolutely agree with every single word you say BullysBoy II and I’m as guilty to judge JLS as anyone.

I know it’s difficult (as with others who post) but I lose interest and the will to live when posts are really long! ??

It'll be interesting to see what happens next week and what Shi's resolve is like if a 35m comes in for Larsen.
I was saying let him go for whatever we could get as I thought his heart was no longer here, but you make good logical sense Bully's, considerations I hadn't given, but, we have to face the fact that he'll go at some point and it's abit of a gamble as to what we might get.

We'll see how RE and Shi II work together soon.
