Very interesting. And while the new owners are indeed a Chinese company, Fosun International, the name of Robin Li - the Chinese multi-billionaire originally thought to be the man behind the takeover - has dropped off the radar - or has it?
When I asked Lopetegui about the involvement of Robin Li in the negotiations, the new Spain coach told me that he is the main man behind "the group" that has taken over Wolves.

If you don't mind my asking Wolf2666, and I understand if you'd rather not disclose, but how did you manage to personally get in contact with Lopetegui?

Stuart Alves I feel a right Smug bathplug after reading this above. I was a poster that stated Wolves were being bought and the announcement was to have been made on the Thursday. As it transpired it wasn't the Thursday stated by me and so I came on the site and ate humble pie. This piece by the Spanish guy nails down everything I said was true, Robin Li is involved. A board clearout was to take place, Moron and Poxey were being replaced, a war chest would be made available, The Spanish guy was involved and the only thing I need to see are the players being announced on Monday. But, I am truly not on here to gloat. Only to say, my contact told me the reason it did not take place last Thursday was Morgan was not releasing the Compton training facility and was haggling, he wanted to lease it out thus still having an income from it. The Spanish coach states above Red tape fecked up his appointment. Steve Morgan your legacy is rubbish mate. Shut the feckin door when you leave you douchebag. Well rid.

Forget Liverpool. Anderson Talisca is now reportedly joining Wolverhampton for a club record fee.
According to Wednesday’s edition of A Bola, Wolves are paying €25m for the midfielder, who’s leaving Benfica after two seasons with the Portuguese side.
Now the club are expected to ask the FA for a work permit on Thursday. As he doesn’t have enough appearances for the Brazilian national team, Wolves’ basis for the request would be the value of the transfer and wages, plus his games for Benfica in the Champions League and the Portuguese league.
Talisca was heavily linked to Liverpool in the past few weeks, with the same newspaper claiming that a deal with the Reds was agreed as well. The only problem for this move would be the work permit.
We’ve always said that there was something strange with this transfer, since Liverpool were very unlikely to pay that amount for such an unproved player, and the claims around a Championship work permit being easier are simply nonsense.
A Bola’s article today doesn’t even mention Liverpool, as if they hadn’t previously said he’s going there.

Former Olympiacos manager Marco Silva has emerged as the favourite to take over at Wolverhampton Wanderers .
The Championship side are expected to dispense with the services of Kenny Jackett following the club's £30m takeover by Chinese conglomerate Fosun International last week.
Fosun had an agreement in place to install Julen Lopetegui as manager but he instead opted to take the top job with the Spain national side just hours before the takeover was completed.

According to media reports in his native Portugal, Silva is now in the frame to take over at Wolves and could be aided in his pursuit by renowned agent and countryman
Jorge Mendes, who is thought to have been heavily involved with the Fosun takeover.
If appointed, Silva would become only the second overseas manager to take the reins at the Midlands side following Stale Solbakken 's unsuccessful stint in the hotseat in 2012.
Steve Bruce, who quit as manager of Hull City last week, has also been linked with the post.
