Every team would love a Suarez-esque player, Cassidy is one for the future, no doubt about that. Until then we need a poacher / out & out goal scorer. I do not see Blackstock being the answer to our prayers personally.

Wouldn't be unhappy if all that happened but still feel that we need to trim even more. Also need to identify which of our youngsters are worth retaining because at the moment nobody seems to have a clue. Only Baath and Forde are in the first team squad and former is yet to start a league game despite our central wdefence being less than convincing.

I can't understand why some people want SEB to go, he is still our best striker by a mile

Cassidy is ok but he will never be a top knotch striker, McAlinden is far more skillful if we talking about Suarez like.

Not good. Amazed that he got starts for Reading this year. Would not be an improvement on what we already have in that area. Midfield is a problem as OHara not a 4 4 2 midfielder, doesn't do the tracking back well enough. Without a doubt our most creative player but will have to build an approach around his shortcomings if he is to play from the start of games.

Although this was definitely a few years back (the season we got promoted and played Coventry)and I appreciate he may have lost some of his quality, he looked quite a decent player in my opinion. Really put a shift in, good passer and quite agile. If we got rid of a few other players I think he might be worth a gamble. That being said, I think in terms of central midfield, I think we've got that position sorted really.

Central midfield sorted? I don't think so. We had huge holes against Blackburn. O, Hara looks creative but Henry has very little to offer, can Doumbia fill this? A threatening forward attack would ease the pressure on the defensive aspect of midfield. Cassidy start was a real positive, but we need a proven striker now, and a tough midfielder. Thenwe can bring on some of our promising youngsters, and lose the deadwood.
