So TC thinks his disastrous 13 game track record will count against him getting the permanent manager's job - no sh*t Sherlock!

Its ok the results did'nt come he has support in the board room and the players love him.what more credintials could you ask for, being a crap manager and coach should'nt count for anything

Nice for him if we beat Wigan I suppose. History may be kinder to him, though. His coaching record shouldn't be affected by the last few weeks, it's just that he wasn't a hidden gem when it comes to management!

Dont forget a great coach like brian kidd couldnt hack it as a manager to appoint tc was ridiculous after the comment no job for a novice you couldnt mek it up !!

It all seems a bit pointless arguing the toss of what could or couldn't have been.
The premiership is 2 divisions in 1.
We all know the basic top half with the odd surprise thrown into the mix. Of the top 6 - 4 can be predicted season in season out all the teams below can do is strive to beat each other then play out of their skins or try to avoid a drubbing against the big boys.
If you took the premier league table and based it on debt the table is upside down.

I must admin the premiership is a BIG let down for me.. so boring in there probably cos we are just fighting for survival all the time but we didnt even have decent cup run to cheer us up........The premier is a rubbish league and just seems to be getting very boring ,,,,
these last 3 years have been crap

Personally, I much prefer the style of football and unpredictability of the lower leagues.
Money is not the issue, lack of definitely is!
Commitment and endeavour is there in spades.
We as the Wolves will still turn up week in week out whether we are prem or blue square...All we ask in return is effort and honesty

In my simplistic mind, the success of a team should be roughly proportional to its support. Not sure where Wolves lie in terms of numbers of supporters but quite probably towards the bottom of the top 20. So we're probably where we should be - a struggling premier team.

The debt ranking is an interesting idea. But debt is fine if it can be serviced. I guess we need to look at teams' debt-to-income ratios to get a handle of whether a team is being reckless or not.

Debt is misleading, though. Some clubs, like Wolves and Wigan, have or have had debt which is never going to be repaid. Others like ManU owe debt to banks who will certainly want it back again.

Wolves are more well supported than you think, Mid Table security.
1) Man Utd
2) Liverpool
3) Arsenal
4) Chelsea
5) Newcastle/Spurs
7) Man City
8) Sunderland
9) Everton
10) Wolves
11) Villa
12) Stoke
13) Norwich
14) Blackburn
15) WBA
16) Swansea
17) Fulham
18) Bolton
19) Wigan
20) QPR

What do you mean.being in the premier is what we want.

If only...

...Wolves had won those April Games against Blackburn and Bolton. Wolves would still be 4 points into the zone, but only one behind Bolton and two ahead of Blackburn, with a fighting chance of staying up given the last two matches are winnable (well, should be if we remembered how to even spell "win").

Now didn't TC say these were not "must win games"? Seems to me that they very much were "must win games" compared to any others we've played lately.

I feel sorry for Blackburn. Probably getting relegated after next match yet doing so much better than Wolves. On the other hand some clubs are staying up with fewer points that Wolves had last season.

Anyone think Villa could drop?

Every game is a must win match in the premiership ,,,TC was naive and too inexperienced to see it ,,come to think of it so are the board for making him manager ,,,FOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLS

Unfortunately Villa are pretty much safe, they can lose their last two games and still stay up on goal difference.

6 points ahead of Blackburn with +14 goal difference. Chances are they'll finish below Villa with us.

Villa +9 goal difference over QPR and 3 points ahead. QPR have to go to the Etihad.

But hey, if Spurs tank Villa and QPR thrash Stoke - who knows!

I posted on here when MM was sacked that we had 13 cup finals. If only the people at Wolves had treated them that way. Of course we had to believe they knew best and put our trust in them only to be mugged off by Moxey and treated like we had come down in the last shower.

The anecdotal way of surviving the premier is to make sure you beat the other struggling teams. It's worked for Swansea and, if you like, Fulham (Ha, apart from when they lost to Wolves) and Villa.

Wigan have done it the hard way by leaving it late and taking points from the top teams. But none of these are 6-pointers. See what difference those two matches would have made to Wolves. (And I think Mick would have won them, but that's another arguement)

So many records broken this season and not one of them a positive one. Relegated in February!

Yes, if every game was a cup final we might have won some of them. We just weren't taking the necessary risks - even a few draws wouldn't have helped much.

It's like when you're 2-1 down with 5 mins to go, you play everyone forward and if you lose 3-1 who cares? We're not doing enough of that, and the game at Swansea tells us that we should have been doing that for the last 2 months.

my oh my, when we want blood we go after it. What was that famous phrase….be careful what you wish for…..Ok results are dreadful, we all need change rather the majority demand change. lets not ever forget TC has come in and failed yet he still has is giving his best. lets also remember we all state and agree our defence is pathetic..yes it is. How many different defenders have we used this year?. we have international defenders who just make mistake after mistake. Is this down to TC,or MM buying crap.
Then we have the hero at chelsea….now a hero not long ago sandwell wanted him out.Not saying for one moment i want TC to stop, he just may return a hero with someone else…and we look fools again

Ludlowwolf

Get real tc is no manager.

Tc could be a manager in the lower leagues but at wolves no no no !!

Hi ED,

Given the fact that you will be alot more clued up than any of us are, especially on Morgan.

Wondering if you have any idea whats his plans for the club are as he clearly decided that if you havnt got anything good to say then dont say anything.

. Is he going to appoint a Director Of Football ? If so, who d you think he'll want ?

. Whats his plans for the Mol ? given that fact he's a builder by trade and we have a lot sided ground that needs finishing and seats that dont fall to bits.

. Who is his back up plan incase blackpool go up, assuming he has a back up plan this time.

. Why he felt it was a good idea not to spend this summer, then not in January when it was clear we we were heading down and lacking defenders.

. And what does he think he needs to do to get us back where we just came from, will he spend the money or will he just over the next few years invest a little while finishing the ground off ready for sale/

I know you wont have all the answers, i dont expect you to, but we enjoy hearing what you think. {Ed001's Note - from what I can gather, his plan is to leave Moxey to deal with the business side of things. Moxey has got the club on a good financial footing, so it makes sense. But Moxey has also shown he is no expert on football, so he is looking to bring in a manager/DoF to take control of that side of things. Someone to oversee every aspect of the footballing operation, including investment into the youth academy. I am not sure who he is looking at, I would assume it would depend mostly on who comes into coach the team, as they need to work closely together.
Morgan desperately wants to work on the ground, it is a priority if the club is to compete in the future. Once the backroom staff is in place, I would expect work to recommence on the ground improvements. Without them, the club has no chance of competing in the long term and Morgan is planning for the long term.
I would expect it to be Hughton, if Holloway can't be brought in. There is definitely a plan in place, according to the info I have been given, in the case of the one wanted winning promotion.
As far as I am aware Morgan has absolutely no plans to sell Wolves, he wants long term success.}

Would have thought it would be a good time to rebuild steve bull stand during coming season whilst the crowd numbers are down. Sure everyone could fit into remaining three sides. Hope you're right about hughton (if baggies don't beat us to him)

Hoping you are right, Ed. How is it you seem to be far more authoritative on the subject than any of us punters? Or maybe you are making it all up too! Holloway and Hughton are both decent managers. No more than one will be in the Premier next season, so hopefully we can tempt the other. {Ed001's Note - if I don't know something I say I don't know, making stuff up just leaves you in trouble when you get found out! The only problem is that things change, so you can end up looking a tool anyway.}

Thanks Ed. Always interested in your snippets. You are very optimistic! {Ed001's Note - I just hope my optimism isn't misplaced!}
