It was rather worrying seeing how a team like Crawley dominated us at the back for most of the last 20 minutes. Despite the criticism of Davies I thought he had a good game. I felt the weak link was Evans who probably has a decent future in the game. I feel McDonald should now be a regular starter using his experience and strength in front of the back 4.
Barry
I thought Evans started really well, but he just seemed to fade. McDonald looked refreshing though, hi burst through midfield to win the penalty was something I haven't seen at the Mol for a while
I tend to agree. At the moment Evans is still 'a work in progress'. He has vision and with it the ability to deliver the ball unerringly to the target player. However, he seems to lack the fitness to play at a high tempo throughout the game and, as a result, drifts off the pace. He will improve but at the moment we need the experience of McDonald. KM will give us greater control in midfield, is an effective playmaker and, as he proved against Crawley, offers us another option in attack.
Yeah but MacDonald is a attacking mid
Both Evans and Davis played well in patches but they could not sustain the effort and we were overrun in midfield for periods of the game. However, it was not solely their fault because they received minimal support from Ismail and Sako, tracking back from the wings. At times, I longed for the terrier-like tackling of Hunt.
Can anyone tell me what's happened to edwards, has he got injured again if so he must be moved on, not playing enough games for me
