{Ed011's Note - Brilliant result tonight! Talk about changing the manager, bringing in new players, new owners etc. is pointless now. Every game is a cup final until we're staying up, once the final whistle season has blown then all of these issues can come back out again. We will never die. (Needless to say, please don't stop all the rumours and talk about changing the manager... this site would become pretty mundane otherwise).

ALSO my congratulations to Cardiff and especially our favourite Cardiff fan Red Bird. Don't know if he'll see this but good luck in the premier league, hopefully we'll be watching us beat them again on Match of the Day again soon ;).

DB

1.) Or the football league show!

2.) Massive 3 points last night! We will survive! Well done all! Paul Tamworth

3.) What a result at the Mol. Thrilled to bits as we need that title. Thanks for your remarks, Ed. I'm really rooting for Wolves even more now and will be more than chuffed when they are definitely safe.

Redbird

4.) Tamworth has changed faces again! We're only out of the relegation places on goal difference, keep your powder dry and celebrate when we are mathematically safe!

5.) I always want Wolves to succeed whoever is in charge! I get the impression on here some would like to see us relegated just to get rid of Deano! Paul Tamworth

6.) No, I want wolves to stay up AND to get rid of Downo!

7.) Lol tamworth, you have more faces than a 16 sided die!. want wolves to succeed whover is in charge?. where was your support for SS to succeed? Lol

8.) Lol, Solbakken was never going to succeed! U didn't have to be a football fan to see that! For the first half last night I thought Solbakken had come back!Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. If u rate him so highly hopefully he will get a new team soon then u can go and support them! Paul Tamworth

9.) SS was never going to succeed with players and fans like you not backing him and having patience for changing the mentality of the club. If we do go down, at least you'll be able to see even more teams that play the outdated long ball game that you and deano enjoy!

10.) SS=Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Paul Tamworth

11.) Totally agree Paul seems to not long passing and possession football but instead like. Hoof football Paul get with the times mate everyone else is moving on

12.) DS=Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hope that helps Paul.

{Ed011's Note - Just got back from the game (this is Ed011), absolutely atrocious. Saunders has got things right about the team since he's been here and the style of play that must have been from training; the first 15/20 minutes were brilliant in terms of our passing, skill, getting the early goal etc.

BUT

He just doesn't seem to have the experience and even though I would not say he's got everything wrong and we have had injuries - as every team will every season even though it's still our go to excuse - he has made too many mistakes. During the 90 minutes his tactics (if he had any) were awful:

1. Ward should never have started and if he should of then it should've been upfront. I've been saying for weeks now that Sigurdarson has been brilliant on the right and saw no reason to change it, but if he was going to play Sigurdarson up front then why he would play Ward instead of Hammill, our actual winger, or Dicko, who we brought in to cover that position, is just lost on me.

2. After Huddersfield's equaliser we struggled and reverted to playing a long ball game, at the start of the second half he should have spoken to the team to try to get them to keep the ball and work it up the pitch. When that didn't work he should've taken Ward off for Hammill as a positive move to try to get us back in front. Instead he moved us into a 4-5-1 with Hunt-Ward-Henry-O'Hara-Sigurdarson as our midfield and Doyle as a lone striker. I can only see this as being him hoping we'd pass the ball more but instead it broke up the midfield, Huddersfield got two goals and O'Hara got sent off and the game was over.

3. It's a joke that after so many seasons the team is still so mentally weak that once the opposition score our game plan is out the window. The fans are going to be upset and they will most likely get on the players backs but once Huddersfield scored their defence just had to sit back and we just keep sending the ball into the box for them to head away or for Smithies to catch. It wasn't because the fans turned on the players that we started playing badly too, as soon as the equaliser went in it was like a different team.

It seems to me that Moxey and Morgan thought survival this season would be easy. Bought in a manager for pence when the STS project failed who wouldn't want any money to spend on players and if he did not give him any. Ultimately the blame has to lie with them, we needed an experienced manager who had to be allowed to build his own team immediately.

DB

1.) Agree fully. Can't understand why an out and out right winger sits on the bench whilst hunt plays on his wrong side and ward plays on the left wing. Few options against hull now - could be slaughtered.

2.) We will never win a match with Karl Henry in at the start.

When will you muppets wake up.
he is no good

Get KH out

3.) Ed agree with some of what you say but your missing a couple of massive points. Our centre backs are too slow don't work as a unit and don't provide adequate cover to the kids at full back. Playing OHara means you have a passenger in midfield so defense gets over run we can't hold the ball and we revert to long balls offensively. Playing Hamill would only increase the number of crosses and play into opposition hands. By the way in the few minutes that Hammill was on the pitch at Bolton he ducked out of a challenge with the goalie. DS tactics are flawed he plays too simplistically. Keegan style is ok if you can score four, but without SEB we are only good for a goal a game. {Ed011's Note - Good points. I don't think O'Hara will be an issue for long.

I think he's just deflecting to make time. The longest loan we can get is 93 days which from today would land somewhere around mid December. From the start of October the 93 days carries into the January transfer window when loans can be extended or made permanent and if we make any emergency loans I can see it being closer to then.
