Regarding the crowd disruption today, everyone should wait until investigations are done before blaming one group or another. Those that mention that Wolves fans that bought tickets in that section must be to blame is wrong. Everyone should be able to watch a game and cheer for their team no matter what section it is in. Unfortunately, violence and verbal assaults are the usual for away fans if amongst the home faithful. Its a shame that there are a few that take things too far and disrupt it for the 99.9% of others.

Hey NewJersey, I agree with your post in theory, but the reality is when rival fans get together they wind each other up, now add booze to the mix and there's a s**t show.

WBA aren't that long out of the PL so I'm assuming they still have some type of video recording in their stands.

So my questions are (and just thinking aloud)?
How did Wolves fans make it in there?

Who sold them the tickets? (Example being season ticket holders with numbers)

How didn't the game stewarts not notice the Wolves fans there, and remove them?

If it was in my dad's era the 50, s then I'd agree. But wolves fans buying tickets in the albion home section when we scored our second you keep quiet it's obvious some didn't absolute stupidity by those wolves fans.

There were fans from both clubs who were intent on causing trouble no matter what.

I got my ticket from my brother in law. I was there with my wife (who is a WBA season ticket holder too) and my son who supports Liverpool.

We had the decorum and sense to behave.

I was there to enjoy the game, not to infiltrate the home fans and cause trouble.

Maybe my mind set is that of a sensible person and not a moron.

The Albion end is the Albion end and not a mixed family area and any Wolves or Liverpool fan obtaining tickets in that end under false pretences is denying a genuine Albion fan from being with their family so don’t get all high and mighty Jas M.

Exactly jas, you are, like most of us, football fans who want to see a game played. You are sensible as most are, in keeping emotions under control and not inflating opposition around you. The wolves fans who gained access to the w brom area didn't. How the away 'fans' reacted was, it seems, out of senseless aggression and ignorant of the young and old they were inflicting it upon. Further disgrace was shown when the police tried to remove the aggressors and others went on to obstruct and manhandle the officers. The whole disgrace sadly now reflects on the innocent true football fans and we get tarred as a club with their brush. I'm not ashamed to be a wolves fan but I'm ashamed to know we still have these thugs amongst us.

E, I'm not getting all high and mighty. But if you are determined to tar all fans with the same brush, then that's your perogative.

But on the way to the match, on the tram which was full of Wolves fans, I witnessed some shocking behaviour which was racist, homophobic and misogynistic. This had nothing to di with fans being in the wrong area of the stadium. This was fellow Wolves fans with bigoted views. If you want to defend this, then again, that's your right but to suggest this I'm trying to take the moral high ground.

And I didn't deny a 'genuine' Baggies fan a ticket as I used my brother in laws season ticket who wasn't able to go and my wife used her season ticket. My son used the plus 1 my wife was entitled to.

E Wombourn, what are you on about? Jas was there with his family with a genuine honest ticket to watch a football match. He had the sense to respect the albion fans and not crow for his own team. He's not high and mighty just a respectful supporter as we all should be. Grow up.

Jas. Good to hear you and your family are ok
Sorry you witnessed the terrible things, that no fan should witness
It was bad enough on TV.
God knows at the scene
Hope you will all go to a match in future

Fair enough Abbey but Wolves play Manchester United this Thursday coming and if I were to give up my season tickets to Manchester United fans for this game I’m sure the fans around me wouldn’t be too happy.
Outside Molineux are signs saying Home supporters only and a condition of buying a ticket is that you are a Home supporter.
Posters are saying that the Albion fan who sold his ticket to a Wolves fan who couldn’t contain himself and cheered when we scored should be tracked down and banned from The Hawthorns but as Jas M kept quiet it is fine for Albion supporters to allow a Wolves fan in their end.

So, sad for the reputation of west midlands football.
I am Black Country born and my views will not be seen as positive in some quarters, but I want to see ALL our regional teams do well.
I hope the sanctions do not have a negative affect on WBA's push fro promotion.
However, the fact this incident took place in a Family designated area for WBA fans is pretty serious.
The Club will have quite a few questions to answer regarding ticket sales and lack of crowd control.
ps
I thought the game (remember that?), showed the massive gulf between Premiership and Championship football.

I thought the same Rugeley the gulf in premier league to championship was huge.

I'm really getting to like Cunha still things to improve like his shooting but he's excelling and looks like he really loves wolvrs and the fans.

A good thing to come out of the awful scenes Craig Dawson and Cunha asking a west brom fan if he and his young son are OK and been applauded by thus west brom on social media.

Uncalled for E mate, I travel to a few away games with Wolves and often sit in the home end I just behave myself and not act like a moron.

E, I take your point and understand, it would be totally wrong to sell/give a ticket to a an opposition fan for which you wouldn't be responsible. I've been to Leicester curtesy of my late foxes fan in their end and he in turn to the mol with me. We respected the environment we were in. If I wasn't sure he'd behave and vice versa it wouldn't happen.
The wba fan who gave sold the ticket must be identified, the wolves fool also, although its been widely suggested that wba put tickets on open salle. Whatever the circumstances it dosnt require the other scenes of violence from adults charging in causing distress. Jas, as one of our own, respected the stand he was in and wouldn't be so foolish as to endanger himself his wife etc. That's the difference.
All respect to you too E. Thoughts and concerns are all a bit in shock over it at the moment. Let's hope we're all singing again Thurs night.

Just out of interest E. My son has been coming with me to Molineux since he was 7 years old. He now 19. He supports Liverpool but has a Wolves membership and has been to every game this season. Is this allowed?

16.) 29 Jan 2024
29 Jan 2024 16:36:37
Yes Jas M that is fine as he has a Wolves membership.
If he has a WBA membership it would be fine for him to obtain a ticket in the WBA end.
Conditions of a ticket sale are that the person named on the ticket must be the person who enters the stadium and sits in that seat.it is clearly stated that tickets are not transferable.
If your brother in law could not attend then the tickets should have gone back into the pool for genuine WBA members to purchase.
The clubs set the rules on who the tickets are allocated to and not the individual season ticket holders.
As a Wolves fan in the WBA end you know you were in the wrong or else you wouldn’t sit there quietly when we scored.

17.) 29 Jan 2024
29 Jan 2024 17:23:49
My name was on the ticket. Likewise my sons name was on his ticket.

18.) 29 Jan 2024
29 Jan 2024 17:31:58
Just to re-iterate that my brother in law told the club that he could not go to the game but wanted me to have his ticket so that I could go along with my Baggies supporting wife.

If your strict rules were always adhered to, how do you explain Cup finals when 20% of tickets are given to corporate fans? Would it be a problem for me to obtain one of these and go to let's say, the FA Cup final if Wolves weren't involved?

Or if Wolves got to the Cup final but you couldn't get a ticket, would it be OK to pull a few strings and obtain a Corporate ticket at the expense of a competition winner?

19.) 29 Jan 2024
29 Jan 2024 17:56:28
E my self and my daughter have season tickets she couldn't make the Liverpool game so her boyfriend attended instead, who happens to be a Liverpool fan. no issues at all people using season tickets of friends and relatives happens all the Time with no problems. Problems happen when morons sell tickets to random strangers for profit. I'm sure if you were offerd a free ticket to a game you would say no thank you is should be returned to club then purchase it yourself as if!

I don't think anyone has to answer anything for sitting in home end as an away supporter, as long as you have manners and respect where you are that should be enough, I do.it regularly at some away games, I ha e family that are Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool fans, if we go to Molineux I get them a ticket with me if they can't get one and visa versa, as for going in the Albion end I have done It, I had the manners at behave when we scored. I go to Rugby games and it's always mixed
